Is this more of Bully-bama’s work?

October 12, 2013: The EBT system crashed in 17 states, leaving food stamp shoppers out of luck. U.S. Department of Agriculture spokeswoman Courtney Rowe said the outage is not related to the government shutdown.

2013_10 12 EBT glitch

Typically when the cards aren’t working retailers can call a backup phone number to find out how much money customers have available in their account. But that information also was unavailable because of the outage, so customers weren’t able to use their cards.

Pretty convenient glitch, coming right when Obama Democrats are under fire for doing everything possible to make the shut down HURT.

I’ve just got two thoughts at the moment.

One, expect Lefties and their Well Trained Sheeple to blame Republicans in 3 … 2 … 1.

Two, consider what life in these United States will become when the Debt Train crashes and the Gummint Goodies STOP for real.

  • Mom saw a bunch of women crying bc their EBT cards dont work & now they cant feed their kids. Breaks my heart.
  • ebt shutdown. It’s about to get really fucking real!!!
  • lock your doors load your guns they cut off ebt cards
  • Yeah it’s really a “coincidence” that the EBT system is down during a government shutdown. How’s the weather in your factless bubble?
  • Well, “never let a crisis go to waste”….

Breaking Trust With Our Troops

This is so BEYOND OUTRAGEOUS. Please watch the entire video.

Rep Duncan Hunter on Megyn Kelly Calls for Chuck Hagel to Resign He Broke the Sacred Trust [6:21]

Friday, October 11, 2013

Megyn Kelly: “As the president’s approval rating plummets, just hours after insisting that White House action was unnecessary to reinstate the death benefits to grieving military families, President Obama signs a bill doing EXACTLY THAT. This is law makers who say they DID protect these death benefits prior to the government shutdown angrily pressed Pentagon officials for why those benefits were not provided.”

Clips from House Armed Services Committee hearing about this issue follow, after which Megyn Kelly interviews Rep Duncan Hunter who says unequivocally that the decision to deny death benefits was a very deliberate choice made by Dept of Defense for political purposes.

Congress passed a “Pay Our Military” act before the shutdown that SPECIFIED death benefits. The order to NOT pay the families of DEAD SOLDIERS came from very high up.

Oct 6, 2013: Wyoming Bison vs. Government Shutdown [:43]

This barricade was sitting on a turn out next to the Gros Ventre road about a mile north of Kelly Wyoming. Guess the bison don’t like the government shutdown either. Somehow I feel humans will be blamed for this vandalism, so I’m sending a link to the proper authorities. 🙂

Senate FINALLY votes on volunteer chaplains

2013_10 06 Senate blocks military masses

LAST Saturday, the House passed (400-1) a bill to allow contract chaplains to volunteer without reprisal on military bases during the shut-down.

The Senate refused to take up the bill until late THIS Thursday and only then because voters YAPPED at them all week to get their thumbs out. The bill passed unanimously, so the civilian chaplains who fill in the gaps for soldiers without uniformed chaplains available will have services this week-end.

Take note here, folks.

This bill did not involve any MONEY. It was merely about giving these “non-essential” (and part-time) government employees PERMISSION to tend to their flocks WITHOUT REPRISAL. The law about fines and arrests for furloughed gov’t employees voluntarily doing their jobs anyway dates back to the 19th c. It’s got nothing to do with Obama Democrats.

Obama Democrats were just the schmucks who refused to WAIVE this law for the specific benefit of troops who do not have access to a chaplain of their denomination.

This mostly affects Catholics. About 25% of the military is Catholic, but less than 10% of the military chaplains are priests. I heard stories about Catholics serving in uniform whose scheduled baptisms and weddings were affected by this petty Democrat intransigence.

President Petulant still governing by temper tantrum

“President Obama has officially canceled his trip to Asia. He said he didn’t want to be in Indonesia not doing anything to solve the crisis when he could be in Washington not doing anything to solve it.

“Actually, it’s the perfect time for President Obama to go to Asia. I mean, what better time to leave Joe Biden in charge of the country than during a shutdown?

“This shutdown is hurting everyone. Today, Michelle Obama told fat kids, ‘You’re on your own. Eat a Happy Meal. I don’t care.'” —Jay Leno

“Obama’s exploitation of the government shutdown (never let a good crisis go to waste) is a classic old method mastered by the likes of CPUSA. It’s standard operating procedure. What you’re witnessing is Barack Obama’s ‘shutdown campaign’ — and with the liberal media dutifully on his side to amplify the effort.

“Here today, in our new America, our own federal government has gotten into the propaganda business full throttle. Its exploitation of the shutdown is shameless. Sure, we expect congressional Democrats to accuse Republicans of starving children, old people, kittens, puppies, fish, and birds; of wanting to kill your grandmother; of gleefully polluting the atmosphere; of hating black people, gays, Latinos, women; of hoping no child gets an education or a school lunch. You know the drill. Democrats do this regardless of whether they have the White House. …

“But the performance has reached a higher, uglier decibel level under the Obama administration. This is hardly a surprise, given Barack Obama’s upbringing, mentors, radical associates, and the crucial fact that he was a community organizer who studied and taught Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals. That was Obama’s formative experience for his job today, and it has equipped him for the task at hand. …

“As has been reported, and is unmistakably evident to all but the most naïve, federal employees have been ordered to exploit this crisis, to make the government shutdown as uncomfortable as they can. The White House is actively soliciting complaints from the general public on ‘how the government shutdown has affected you.’ These testimonies are tools sought for the propaganda kit; the better to agitate with.” —Paul Kengor

“Almost a million non-essential government employees were let go. Well, isn’t that the problem, that there’s that many non-essential employees?” —David Letterman

“Government wants you to play a role in the ‘shutdown’ of the federal government. Your role is to panic.

“Republicans and Democrats both assume that shutting some government is a terrible thing. The press concurs. ‘Shutdown threatens fragile economy,’ warns Politico. ‘Federal workers turn to prayer,’ laments The Washington Post.

“If the public starts noticing that life goes on as usual without all 3.4 million federal workers, we might get dangerous ideas, like doing without so much government. Politicians don’t want that. They’d rather have us worry about how America will cope.

“President Obama gave a speech where he actually said we need to keep government open for the sake of people like the person working for the Department of Agriculture ‘out there helping some farmers make sure that they’re making some modest profit,’ and the Department of Housing and Urban Development ‘helping somebody buy a house for the first time.’

“Give me a break. Farmers don’t need bureaucrats to teach them how to make a profit, and Americans can buy first homes without HUD helping a chosen few. Americans would make more profit and afford better homes if they didn’t have to spend a third of national income on federal taxes.” —John Stossel

“Nonessential government services have been put on hold. Flight safety inspectors furloughed. National monuments closed. The Grand Canyon is closed — they filled it with spackle. Passport offices have been closed too. Interesting fact: Passport lines take exactly the same amount of time whether the passport office is open or not.” —Jimmy Kimmel

“Could this be the end of Monument Syndrome? Across the country, ordinary Americans are rising up in revolt against the old Washington tactic of closing public parks and memorials during selective government ‘shutdowns’ to score political points. Tax-paying tourists are tossing off the orange traffic cones and ‘Barrycades.’ Enough is enough. …

“From closing down parts of the ocean around Florida to booting elderly citizens from their private homes on Lake Mead to shutting down private restaurants and farms that just happen to sit on federal land, the Democrats’ overreach has finally backfired.

“The explanation for this ridiculous Obama obstructionism can be summed up in one word: Control. Control of the people. Control of the partisan narrative. Monument Syndrome, perfected under the Clinton administration, is about inflicting the most visible pain on citizens to demonize political opponents. Big-government advocates in the media enabled the manipulators.

“For decades, taxpayers were passive pawns in this gamesmanship. No more. Monument Syndrome, R.I.P.” —Michelle Malkin

“Democrats have shut down government because they want to fine you for not buying a product you don’t want from a website that doesn’t work.” —Rep. Steve Stockman

“The shutdown means the national zoo is closed. Who’ll feed the animals? Is anyone even there to lock them up at night? Pretty soon starving lions and tigers could charge out of the zoo. They’d devour the fattest, dumbest people on Capitol Hill. Actually that might be the answer to all of the problems.” —Craig Ferguson

DON’T BLINK!

Oct 9, 2013 in WASHINGTON, D.C.

Republican senators put THIRTEEN unanimous consent requests to the Senate, each of which would reopen some part of the federal government, including the National Institute of Health, the National Park Services and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Democrats BLOCKED every single one of them! They’re holding out for ALL OR NOTHING. They want Americans to HURT as much as possible and BLAME REPUBLICANS for it. They’re hoping that a combination of STUPIDITY and BIASED MEDIA will push Americans to pressure Republicans to cave.

My word to Republicans is …

DON’T CAVE!

DON’T EVEN BLINK!

We’re sick to death of being dictated to by this nasty, bullying Obama Democrat Progressive Minority!!

Obama’s DoD informed military “no death benefits” by TWITTER

These people really have NO SHAME.

This video should be on your Must View ASAP list. Please set aside 16 minutes to listen. No need to watch. It’s just a talking head. But do listen. And if you can, get your favorite Obama Apologist to listen too.

Majority Leader Harry Reid Objects to Funding the VA. Again. [16:10]

Republican Senator Cruz: Veterans are an American issue, not a partisan issue. Refusing death benefits is an abomination. Eight bills have come from the House to fund parts of the government. The Democrats have not allowed any of them to come to the floor.

Democrat Senator Reid: Blah blah blah

REID SHORT TRANSLATION: No, I will not allow the Senate to vote on funding death benefits.

LONG TRANSLATION: I’m in charge of the Senate and I’m Obama’s lapdog. So no, we are NOT voting on any “piecemeal” funding of anything, because we want everybody to HURT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE so we can get Obamacare funded without any negotiation whatsoever and never mind that half of all Americans hate it and that Obama Democrats are the ONLY people refusing to fund the Veterans Administration or open the parks or allow chaplains to VOLUNTEER their services on military bases because DEMOCRATS CARE. You can be sure of this because we keep telling you. Also, (with respect to my dear friend and colleague Senator Cruz) REPUBLICANS SUCK.

Democrat Lackeys: We don’t need to vote on your stupid Republican piecemeal bills, because we are happy to vote on complete (with Obamacare) funding.

Republican Senator Cruz: Veterans should not be held hostage by partisan political issues like whether or not we fund Obamacare. Democrats are holding veterans hostage by refusing to even vote on veteran funding and demanding all or nothing funding.
