“Sunday night is a terrible time to have a debate, because there are so many great shows on,” the CNN host said. “Don’t you think that is going to hurt your ratings? And isn’t it in your interests to have high ratings for these debates?”
Wasserman Schultz responded by saying they’ve had “record viewership” for their debates, but went all the way back to 2008 in naming some of their successes.

The blockbuster film “13 Hours” on the Benghazi massacre by director Michael Bay is now playing in theaters nationwide.
On Sunday Hillary Clinton was asked about the movie.
She told Jake Tapper she was “too busy” campaigning to watch “13 hours.”
13 Hours, as most of you know, is the true story of a handful of individuals who showed uncommon bravery in the face of a colossal security clusterflock*, at a US diplomatic outpost, after the fall of Qaddafi in Libya. The movie doesn’t go into the politics, most of which consisted in the (almost?) criminal refusal on behalf of the State Department to provide adequate security to, as the opening credits note, one of the twelve most dangerous spots on the planet.
If you listen closely, you can hear the faint voice of Barack Obama blathering about the wonderful opportunities for the Libyan people now that Qaddafi had been overthrown. Mercifully, I did not see any pictures of Hillary or hear the dreaded cackle, which, now that I think of it, might have sent their attackers fleeing in fear at the sound of it.
The story starts with the arrival of Jack Silva, played by The Office’s John Krasinski**. A tense and potentially deadly situation arises on the streets of Benghazi before they can even reach the compound. Welcome to Benghazi! Jack is not an FNG***, as he has worked with some of the team in years past.
The CIA station chief “Bob”, is portrayed as a snot nosed, condescending, officious prick who treats his security detail, mostly former Navy SEALS, as rent-a-cops. Not surprisingly, the former CIA station chief for Benghazi has said this is all ‘baloney’, but then, if even a fraction of it were true, I would vehemently deny it, too. Whose word are you going to trust? His, or the three men who risked their lives to save his bacon? Me, too.
The movie shows the very human side of these operators: interactions with their wives and kids, albeit long distance, the boredom, the bureaucracy, and when the balloon goes up, their professionalism and willingness to die for their friends and even some complete strangers, because that’s what they signed up for.
The movie is well paced and suspenseful, and at times, like “24”, gives the sense of taking place in real time. The suspense is heightened in that the bad guys do not wear any uniform or insignia and therefore look like anyone else. These men know all too well the consequences of shooting a “friendly”, therefore you literally cannot tell friend from foe until they start shooting at you.
The battle scenes are intense and the down time in between them are very revealing of these men’s character.The requests for help that go unanswered, surprising in the face of the number of people actually ready to respond, may cause one to pause.
I highly recommend this movie. The movie is accurate, according to (most of) those who were there. Director Michael Bay does the script, the story, and the heroes behind them justice. One caveat, you may not be able to leave the theater with a dry eye. Two ladies who saw the movie before I did, Tweeted: There was only one word when we left the theater: Speechless.

*Hey! We are still PG-13 here! But if that kind of language offends you, wait until 13 Hours comes out on network TV, and read the book while you wait. The language is not excessive, but realistic.
**Don’t let that concern you. I was never a fan of The Office, but his acting is first rate here. He gives a very credible performance, showing wide range.

So the democrats had a debate Saturday night. The extravaganza drew an audience of 8 million, about the same as a rerun of South Park. It was painfully obvious to any objective observer that this was a monumental waste of broadcast time in an effort to hide the fact that their nominee is an arrogant slut whose pomposity and hubris were on full display. There was little of note during this little get-together except another Clinton lie about Trump being a recruiter for ISIS. Her campaign first defended the statement, then later admitted it was just another lie. At that point,what difference did it make?
I’m not at all comfortable with Trump as the Republican nominee, but at this point if Cankles is destined to succeed to the throne at least the months-long food fight between those two would be worth it. A last hurrah for the nation, as it were.

Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton was late getting back to the debate stage Saturday night because she didn’t want to share a restroom with a Martin O’Malley staffer.
Clinton reportedly went to the ladies’ room during the commercial break, according to The Boston Globe. Clinton even had a campaign employee on bathroom duty to make sure Clinton could quickly get inside the restroom and return to the stage. But when that staffer let in O’Malley spokeswoman Lis Smith, Clinton waited outside.
And the Clinton camp is reeling from a Breitbart News report that the DNC is really not so fair and impartial in this primary. How could it be? After all, the Clinton campaign is funding the DNC and its state-level get-out-the-vote efforts!

Apparently Hillary Clinton was about as interested in the Democrat Debate as I was.
During the commercial break that happened at 9:30 pm, Hillary was a wee bit tardy in getting back when the debate started up again nearly six minutes later.
“Sorry” says the most tardy woman in the world.
Now, at the previous debate, Hillary made a joke that, as a woman she needed more time in the restroom. I’m a woman. I can be in and out of a bathroom in under a minute. And that includes washing my hands. The only time it has taken me longer is if I have to wait in line. And something tells me that the bathrooms provided for the candidates aren’t being flooded by people, but rather, are private facilities in green rooms. So unless she ate nothing but bean burritos and Ex-Lax the entire day, why the hell would she need more than five minutes?
I have my theories.

Former President Bill Clinton joined his wife Hillary in a surprise appearance after the third Democratic debate at a watch party, in Manchester, New Hampshire, Saturday night.
