A few days ago on Fareed Zakaria’s show, President Obama rejected the idea that we are at war with radical Islam.
“I reject a notion that somehow that creates a religious war because the overwhelming majority of Muslims reject that interpretation of Islam. They don’t even recognize it as being Islam, and I think that for us to be successful in fighting this scourge, it’s very important for us to align ourselves with the 99.9 percent of Muslims who are looking for the same thing we’re looking for — order, peace, prosperity.”
Best guess puts the number of Muslims sympathetic to the goals and means of Islamic terrorists at 200 million out of a total of 1.7 billion Muslims world-wide. That’s nearly 12%, not .01%.
By way of comparison, of the approximately 66 million Germans at the beginning of World War II, some 850,000 were card-carrying Nazis. Those card-carrying Nazis were .01% of the German population and look what they managed to do to the order, peace and prosperity of the world.

One caveat there, Mr. Woods. It should say “served” … but insofar as Obama’s view of his power and authority is concerned, “ruled” is right. “Leader” though … ::snort:: I don’t THINK so.
According to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Annenberg poll, nearly 70% of Americans lack confidence in Obama’s ability to fight ISIS.
I saw an interesting post on Facebook by a man who said he used Obama’s words countless times during the Vietnam War when he was doing Communist interrogation/political indoctrination role-playing instruction at the USAF Survival School in a simulated North Vietnamese POW camp.
“Obama was repeating what has been standard communist propaganda and political indoctrination screed since Marx said religion was the opium of the people and that it should be destroyed. Marx neglected to mention that Christianity was the biggest obstacle to his psychopathic and genocidal communist dictatorships, and to communist-infiltrated Presidencies like Obama’s.”

Now comes word that Obama chose the National Prayer Breakfast to rant at American Christians about not getting all high-moral-horsey about ISIS atrocities because, you know, the Crusades and slavery and Jim Crow laws.
Ummmmmmmmmmm … Muslims invaded Christian nations. Last I heard, even Democrats didn’t have a problem with people defending themselves from aggression.
As for slavery, Christians ended it while Muslims still practice it. And don’t get me started on Jim Crow laws (and the KKK) which were, you know, entirely a DEMOCRAT phenomenon.

February 3, 2015: Washington (CNN) – President Barack Obama said a new video that purports to show ISIS burning a Jordanian pilot alive in a cage is “just one more indication of the viciousness and barbarity of this organization. And it, I think, will redouble the vigilance and determination on the part of a global coalition to make sure that they are degraded and ultimately defeated. It also just indicates the degree to which WHATEVER IDEOLOGY THEY’RE OPERATING OFF OF, IT’S BANKRUPT.” (CtH: CAPS mine)
Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California, the top-ranking Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, said the execution should “unite a coalition against ISIS. If you let this kind of brutality dominate, whether it’s the Middle East or North Africa, whether it’s the world, just think of what the world and those areas will be like. The brutality, I think, is unprecedented.” (“Will be like”? Has she been keeping up with the news?! Good grief!)
Lt. Gen. Vincent Stewart, Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, told the House Armed Services Committee, that ISIS has been able to extend its reach beyond its bases in Iraq and Syria. “With affiliates in Algeria, Egypt, Libya, the group is beginning to assemble a growing international footprint that includes ungoverned and under governed areas” and that the numbers of foreign fighters flowing in and out of Iraq and Syria is “troubling.”
