I went to my bank’s website this morning and saw this. It seems non-specific to our local area, so I figured it would be best to pass it on.

if you are one of the fortunates who don’t have time to spend reading articles on the web,you are lucky indeed. My senses have been accosted by images of mass executions,children being beheaded or crucified, Christian men being hung and woman and girls being raped and sold as sex slaves in the open market. Such is the savagery of ISIS. The Iraqi army is no match for these assassins and we’re no longer there to provide support thanks to our president’s desire to brag about: “I ended the war in Iraq.”

Our president has yielded to public pressure and authorized dropping aid to the Yazidis,who are trapped on a mountain and dying of thirst and hunger as they try to avoid certain doom at the hands of these hellspawn. He also authorized a few pinprick bombings of the bad guys so he can say crap like “I ordered” and “acting on my orders” as he is fond of saying while pretending to care.

I had some lighthearted and offbeat news to post today,but seeing boys my grandsons’ age being blindfolded and crucified has taken my sense of humor away.

July 24, 2014: I’ve been struggling with getting my twins asleep for a few weeks now (due to extremely hot weather and long, sunny days), and I’ve tried different methods. This one was definitely the worst one! But it gave me a good laugh. BTW, they have always shared a room.  I just thought I’d try something different for a few days, and it turned out to be a bad idea.

Friday, August 1, 2014: President Obama deigned to answer a few questions from the press.  Poor baby … nobody asked him how he would be spending his birthday! 

You gotta wonder if that’s the real reason he showed up in the press room in the first place.  He usually doesn’t go anywhere near the place.  Finally … after much nudging … ONE reporter wished him a happy birthday. Phew.

What happened to the “Happy Birthday” thing? 

I could be wrong, Mr. President, but just maybe everybody is sick and tired of the “Look At Me Lie Presidency.”

Israeli soldiers prepare for battle

July 22, 2014: These Israeli soldiers are about to enter Gaza and risk their lives for the Jewish homeland. They prepare for battle through songs of faith in G-d.  This is what they are singing:  “The whole world is a narrow bridge and you must not be afraid. Serve G-d with joy and come before Him with song. We have no one to rely upon except our Father in heaven.”
