BIBLE: A book sales tracker shows that through October of this year, the purchase of Bibles has jumped by 22%, fueled largely by first-time buyers.

CARRAGEENAN: A study entitled “Carrageenan and insulin resistance in humans: a randomised double-blind cross-over trial” was published last week in BMC Medicine. It reports on a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial involving 20 young, healthy male participants who received either 250 milligrams of carrageenan or a placebo twice daily over two weeks. The results showed that, overweight participants experienced lower insulin sensitivity, increased brain inflammation, and higher levels of inflammatory markers (C-reactive protein and interleukin-6).

Carrageenan is a common food additive used as a thickener. I can be found in everything from ice cream to plant-based milk.

All I can say about this is … CRAP!

CBS: [9:31] – Former CBS News correspondent Catherine Herridge says that, in early 2023, she snagged an exclusive interview with Elon Musk. CBS told her they would not air it live, because they were afraid what the outspoken tech mogul might say. Herridge says, “This is someone whose DNA is free speech and how do you tell someone who’s committed to free speech that your network can only do it taped and only if they edit it and it can only be on their platform? I couldn’t go back to him with that.” So the interview never happened.

FATHER CARLOS MARTINS: [13:13] – When I heard the original inflammatory story, my first thought was that Satan had finally found a way to interfere with this holy man’s very successful ministries.

P.S., it’s allegations.

HUNTER: President Joe Biden has signed “a full and unconditional pardon” for his son, Hunter Biden. The pardon includes not only his tax evasion and gun convictions, but also any offenses that Hunter Biden “committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from Jan. 1, 2014, through Dec. 1, 2024.

There is no other way to spin this today. This has nothing to do with Trump and everything to do with the character of Joe Biden.

Personally, I’m relieved. Having Hunter’s dad pardon him means nobody can pressure Trump to do it. It will also reduce the onus of Trump pardoning the J6 political prisoners.

As for Hunter … he will answer to God.

FBI: Trump has chosen Kash Patel to direct the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He has been critical of the way the FBI operates and says he wants to relocate the bureau’s headquarters to somewhere to outside the Beltway.

MILITARY: “There is no doubt that women can serve in the military and make great contributions to success on the battlefield.  This does not mean that it is a good idea to put them into combat arms units, where they would be required to go face to face with the enemy and ultimately be capable of fighting hand to hand and coming out alive. There is no second place in combat.” – Larry Keifesh

DAILY PRAYER: Dear God, I come before You, acknowledging the times when I have allowed fear to dictate my actions and decisions. I ask for Your forgiveness and the courage to step out in faith, trusting in Your guidance and provision. Help me to release the grip of fear and embrace the abundant life You have prepared for me. Grant me the confidence to pursue Your will for my life, knowing that You are with me every step of the way. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

DAILY PRAYER: Lord, please give me all the physical, emotional, and mental strength I will need to persevere through today’s difficulties. And grant me too the spiritual strength I will need to trust in Your power, goodness, and love. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

BORDER: [8:03] – Within days of Trump telling Mexico to protect our southern border or else, the Mexican president assured him that migrant caravans are no longer heading our way. I heard a news anchor refer to him as “the president” … cuz he kinda already is.

BOSTON: On November 18, Boston’s Mayor Michelle Wu announced her sanctuary city will not cooperate with the looming mass deportation operation from the incoming Trump administration. On November 19, Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, pointed out that it’s a felony to harbor illegal aliens and that he’d be happy to arrest her and anybody else who hinders ICE. On November 20, Mayo Wu said, “My comments have never been directed towards the federal government or anyone except for our own community members.” Point. Set. Match.

Tom Homan’s strong statements represent more of Trump’s “peace through strength” at work. Homan has the perfect temperament for this battle.

DEATH THREATS: [6:08] – The FBI says it is aware of swatting incidents and bomb threats targeting Trump nominees and appointees. “We are working with our law enforcement partners,” the FBI’s statement said. “We take all potential threats seriously, and as always, encourage members of the public to immediately report anything they consider suspicious to law enforcement.

FAUCI: Since Tony Fauci retired, taxpayers have shelled out millions providing U.S. marshals to guard him, a private chauffeur to tote him here and there, law enforcement equipment, and more. His salary and pension were and continue to be upwards of $400,000 per year. (What happened to retiring at half pay?) The worst of it all is that not only is his net worth $12.5 million, but also that it increased by a whopping $5 million between the years 2019 and 2021. You remember those years, right? When the rest of us were locked in our homes, anxiously watching our savings and pantries empty out? Tony Fauci is a private citizen. Let him pay his own bills.

IRS: They want Congress to write them a $20 billion check. Vivek Ramaswamy tweeted: “Thousands of IRS employees & contractors literally *aren’t paying their own taxes.* @SenJoniErnst audited the IRS & found they owed nearly $50 million. The government-wide number of employee unpaid taxes is over $1.5 billion. The hypocrisy is insane.

MENTAL HEALTH: TDS [3:46] – A practicing therapist has an interesting article at American Mind (linked below). An excerpt to whet your appetite: “I speak from some experience, having spent multiple hours per day over the past few weeks hearing from clients about the damage inflicted upon their psyches ‘by the Trump win.’ This is their account of things. My own opinion, however, is that someone has subjected these kids to psychic trauma. But it wasn’t Donald Trump. …

“Of course, we will laugh at the libs of TikTok shaving their heads and screaming in their cars. … But we should not laugh at those who break their sobriety, or plunge into isolation because of the Trump victory. They are truly sick, and ideological bad actors have preyed off their desperation for personal clout, terrorizing them with confected fears and then discarding them to suffer the psychological consequences.

There’s a mental health crisis in this country—on this we can all agree. But the peddlers of Trump Derangement Syndrome don’t seem to care that their cynical, apocalyptic politics bear no small part of the blame.”

MISSION: Cal Zastrow spent Thanksgiving in prison as part of a six-month prison sentence over a peaceful protest at a Tennessee abortion facility in 2021. He was convicted by the Biden DOJ earlier this year for violating the FACE Act by praying, singing hymns, and sitting in front of the door to the entrance of an abortion facility in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. He says he is “on a big mission trip here,” keeping busy praying, reading his Bible, and teaching his fellow inmates about Christianity. “This prison holds almost 2,300 men and their need to hear about Jesus, their need for that is greater than my need for liberty. And so I’m here on a DOJ-sponsored mission trip.

LAWFARE: Trump tweeted, “These cases, like all of the other cases I have been forced to go through, are empty and lawless, and should never have been brought. Over $100 Million Dollars of Taxpayer Dollars has been wasted in the Democrat Party’s fight against their Political Opponent, ME. Nothing like this has ever happened in our Country before. They have also used State Prosecutors and District Attorneys, such as Fani Willis and her lover, Nathan Wade (who had absolutely zero experience in cases such as this, but was paid MILLIONS, enough for them to take numerous trips and cruises around the globe!), Letitia James, who inappropriately, unethically, and probably illegally, campaigned on “GETTING TRUMP” in order to win Political Office, and Alvin Bragg, who himself never wanted to bring this case against me, but was forced to do so by the Justice Department and the Democrat Party. It was a political hijacking, and a low point in the History of our Country that such a thing could have happened, and yet, I persevered, against all odds, and WON. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

Inquiring minds wish to know which of the 12 months is designated for celebrating heterosexuality. And, do we even have a flag? Come on, cis Canadians! Rise up and demand your equal rights under this looney tunes government!

2A: A new poll by Gallup shows that 33% of Republican women own guns, compared to just 29% of Democratic men.

BORDER: The CBS/YouGov poll somehow managed to get both the 73% number above and this one … in the same poll. “Would you approve or disapprove of Donald Trump starting a national program to find and deport all immigrants who are in the U.S. illegally?

Disapprove …………………………………………………………………..43%

It begs one to wonder how they weighted the results to get 16% who said Trump should make something his #2 priority that they disapprove of him doing at all!

CALIFORNICATION: “Democrats have taken the most beautiful, resource-filled, and richest state and turned it into a poorly run welfare state,” writes Commodore Vanderbilt at Not The Bee. California’s population is about 11-12% of the total for the country.

CDC: Trump picked pro-life former Congressman David Weldon to lead the Centers for Disease Control. Dr. David Weldon is a former Florida congressman, Army veteran, and medical doctor. In better news, Walmart is ending their woke policies. The #1 employer in America, with over 1.6 million employees and they have a market cap of nearly $800B, has decided to totally discontinue the use of DEI and LatinX as terms in official communication, discontinue racial equity training through the Racial Equity Institute, end preferential treatment and benefits to suppliers based on diversity, identify and remove inappropriate sexual and / or transgender products marketed to children, avoid funding inappropriate sexualized content targeting kids.

Trannies have to have regular doses of their medications and often suffer from ongoing health problems as a result of those medications and/or surgeries they may have had.

UK: Under new guidance issued by the British Transport Police (BTP), transgender police officers can strip-search women. The Vatican’s Anime Mascot

The pope has approved this anime-style mascot for the 2025 Year of Jubilee, hoping it will appeal to young people. The official word is that she is a little pilgrim named Luce. Pronounced loo chay, it means light in Italian and light from the east in Latin.

Luce is a pilgrim. From her muddy boots to her walking staff to her raincoat, she is dressed for life’s journey to Christ. The raincoat is yellow, the color of the Vatican’s flag.

Luce’s hair and eyes are blue, the color traditionally assigned to hope and to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The gleam shining in her eyes is in the shape of the scallop shell, a symbol that has long been associated with Catholic pilgrimage, in particular the famous Camino Way in Spain.

Luce wears a World Mission rosary, which was created by Fulton Sheen. Wearing a rosary as a necklace is common in some places and frowned on in others, but it seems to be a practical choice for a pilgrim on the road.

The Jubilee 2025 logo is embroidered on the raincoat’s front in green, the liturgical color for the Ordinary seasons of the year, the time when we focus on growing in Christ. The Jubilee 2025 site says of the logo, “The anchor is well known as a symbol of hope. In maritime jargon the ‘anchor of hope’ refers to the reserve anchor used by vessels involved in emergency manoeuvres to stabilise the ship during storms. It is worth noting that the image illustrates the pilgrim’s journey not as an individual undertaking, but rather as something communal, marked by an increasing dynamism leading one ever closer to the cross. The cross in the logo is by no means static, but it is also dynamic. It bends down towards humanity, not leaving human beings alone, but stretching out to them to offer the certainty of its presence and the security of hope. At the bottom of the logo is the motto of the 2025 Jubilee Year.

N.b., The colors on the official logo are not a nod to the “pride” flag, but rather denote the regions of the world as used on the World Mission rosary.

Aleteia reports, “Within days of her reveal, Luce became a prime source of inspiration for Catholic and anime artists alike, who created many beautiful tributes to Luce on art sites and social media.

Personally, I like this variation better than the official one. Until I did the research for this article, I did not know about the pilgrim’s scallop shell, so found the shape of the sparkle in the official version’s eyes off putting. This one has Bethlehem stars!

The other reason I haven’t warmed up to the official Luce is that her forked “pilgrim staff” is much more commonly known as a stang, a forked staff used in various forms of occult rituals as a tool of power and respect. Various sites say it represents the World Tree, connecting the heavens and the earth and standing tall as a reminder of the witch’s place between worlds. It may be placed in the center of an altar or carried as a symbol of authority. It may be used to call on deities during rituals. One witch said she uses it to ground herself when she travels the celestial planes.

However, I did find one article that delved into a different source for the forked staff. It was published in 2018 after Pope Francis carried a stang staff with a nail through the forked branches. An article at Patheos says, “It was a gift to Pope Francis by a group of young people, who asked him to use it during the synod.

Catholic bishops and popes each have a special staff known as a crosier, or shepherd’s crook. They carry during rituals to symbolize their roles as shepherds of God’s flock. Bishops’ crosiers can vary tremendously, but they generally have a crook at the top.

By contrast, the papal staff (known as a ferula, which is Latin for rod) has cross or crucifix on top. There is no set standard; the photo shows Pope Francis with two different ones.

I wasn’t the only one bothered by the pope’s synodal ferula’s resemblance to a witch‘s stang. However, a deacon did some research and found that, though rare, there are examples of forked crosses in our church’s history. The author says, “The three arms of the cross are meant to remind us of the Holy Trinity and the attributes of God: omniscience, omnipotence, and omnipresence.”

Another author writes, “This cross also resembles the Greek letter Upsilon which capitalized looks just like the English letter ‘Y’. The Greek Upsilon is often called Pythagoras’ letter as it is said he used it as a symbol to demonstrate human life where the two horns of the letter represent the two paths of vice and virtue. We all travel down a road in life, but it is not always the easy road and we come to a split into the road where we must choose where we will take our life. Will it be down the road of virtue or the one to ruin?” This explanation goes a long way toward making me more comfortable with Luce’s staff.

Some critics have also objected to the name Luce, suggesting it is short for Lucifer. Like luce, the Italian word for light, Lucifer, the name of the first and greatest angel God created, comes from the Latin for light. But Jesus called Himself “the light of the world.” Lucifer’s light only exists to the extent that God created it; plus, he only uses it for himself. Jesus’ light is not only self-existent, but also used to guide pilgrim’s to God. I guess I can get on board the Luce lovers’ pilgrim trail.

DEI: This crap should DIE. – Georgetown Law denied a student’s request to delay or take her exam at home, due to the fact that her newborn was only a few days old. The school told her that would not be possible, because it would be inequitable to all the other non-birthing students in her class. Instead, they suggested the new mother bring her days-old child to campus to take the exam with more time, so she could pause to breastfeed during the exam. They told her, “Motherhood is not for the Faint of Heart.” This is a violation of Title IX, something you might think that a LAW SCHOOL would know. When outraged students pushed back, the school relented. What a clown show. I can’t help wondering how many abortions the people who refused to accommodate this student have had or financed. Adding fluoride to water increases the risk of neuropsychiatric disease in children and reduces their IQ,” Ladapo said in a post on X. “We can strengthen teeth without consuming this neurotoxin.”

I am grateful my community nixed the idea. I remembering writing a letter to the editor pointing out that the vast majority of the water we use is for washing and flushing, not drinking and that kids who are seeing pediatricians regularly are offered fluoride supplements if the parents want them. Moreover, the poor kids who do not get such care are also the ones least likely to drink water; however, they are the most likely to be taken to the county’s free vaccine clinics. I suggested it would be more cost effective to use a tiny fraction of the proposed fluoridation money to provide free fluoride drops at those clinics. Our dentist was also vehemently opposed, pointing out that fluoride is commonly used as a rat poison. They dropped the plan.

SEC AG: Trump has chosen Brooke Rollins to lead the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in his administration.

Brooke’s commitment to support the American Farmer, defense of American Food Self-Sufficiency, and the restoration of Agriculture-dependent American Small Towns is second to none. As our next Secretary of Agriculture, Brooke will spearhead the effort to protect American Farmers, who are truly the backbone of our Country.”

Rollins grew up in a farming family in Glen Rose, Texas. She participated in Future Farmers of America and 4H. She studied agriculture development at Texas A&M University and worked in the first Trump administration, then went on to become the president and CEO of the America First Policy Institute.

THE VIEW: CLICK https://x.com/NickFondacaro/status/1859994465051492674 [:32] to see Sonny Hostin eat crow for the second and third times last week. N.b., Joy Behar interrupts the legal note to make more baseless and defamatory attacks. ::smh::

In 2022, Newsbusters reported the “harpies on The Spew” (not my line, but too good not to steal) were forced to issue three dozen such notes over that one year. Hostin responded on air to the report, saying that legal notes are not an admission of error, but insulation from legal liability.

Speaking of legal liability, CLICK https://x.com/NickFondacaro/status/1526980042005352449 [1:04] to hear what she did to her boyfriend. One must wonder why he subsequently married her.

GRAMMY NOTES: I have found a way to embrace the dark parts of my life. The best hero stories are the ones with the worst villains. And in painting, you can only show bright light by including dark shadows. (Painting by moi.)

ART: CLICK https://x.com/EndWokeness/status/1859761779469058133 [1:16] to hear the bidding on a truly absurd piece of “art.” Elon Musk tweeted, “Art is often used for money laundering and tax evasion. That explains a large part of the apparent irrationality.”

DEMOCRATS: CLICK https://x.com/libsoftiktok/status/1859652312173773108 [:53] to hear why Denver is The Place to Go if you’re illegal. If you’re a taxpayer, not so much. But hell’s bells, even having had this kind of leadership, more than three quarters of them voted for Harris/Walz. ::smh::

In other stupid news, Oregon (55.3% Harris/Walz) just announced it has adopted a Climate Protection Program aimed at cutting fossil fuel pollution by 90% by 2050. Translation: Oregon increases its efforts to reduce its population and tax base by driving industry and jobs elsewhere.

FAUXTUS: Alleged Catholic and President Joe Biden gave former Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Wednesday, citing her work to “advance women’s reproductive rights.”

FEMA: CLICK https://rumble.com/v5r0u62-fema-director-grilled-over-refusing-aid-to-trump-supporters.html [3:44] to hear the director of FEMA try to respond to congressional questioning. She basically says the Biden administration’s open border policy was a “disaster.” Then, she says “our priority is the American people.” What a clown show. ::smh::

LUCIFER: [16:17] – You gotta listen to this!

MAHA: Trump has nominated Dr. Marty Makary to head the Food and Drug Administration. Makary is a Johns Hopkins professor and surgeon who has been an outspoken critic of COVID-19 mandates.

Trump has nominated Dr. Dave Weldon to lead the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Weldon is a former congressman, a physician with 40 years of experience, and an Army veteran.

STATE DEPARTMENT: CLICK https://x.com/kayleighmcenany/status/1860027449414943214 [6:42] to hear Kayleigh McEnany comment on why the State Department held therapy sessions for federal employees after Trump’s election victory. Taxpayer monies are paying for this garbage. I’m thinking this will make it easier for DOGE to identify those who need to unburdened of working for Trump and freed to pay for their own therapy!

SURGEON GENERAL: Put another tick mark in the Fox News > Trump cabinet column. Fox contributor Dr. Janette Nesheiwat, MD, has been nominated to serve as Surgeon General of the United States. She said, “Thank you, Mr. President, for your trust. I pledge to work tirelessly to promote health, inspire hope, and serve our nation with dedication and compassion.” I’m guessing that, unlike Biden’s pick, she will also care about something besides trans rights.

TREASURY: Trump said, “Scott is widely respected as one of the world’s foremost international investors and geopolitical and economic strategists. Scott’s story is that of the American Dream.

Many news outlets trumpeted the nominee for being a homosexual. Wikipedia says he is married to a man named John and that they have two kids. But, as Swain says, why should we care? I liked it better when what homosexuals did in the privacy of their homes was … you know … private.

I am delighted to see that Epoch Times, the only paper to which I $ub$cribe, did not mention Bessent’s sexual orientation even once. The Epoch Times report does say, “Bessent (62) is a Wall Street veteran and founder of international macro investment company Key Square Group. He served as a key economic adviser to Trump’s 2024 campaign.”

TRUMP APPOINTMENTS: Also nominated are Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-Ore.) for secretary of Labor, Scott Turner for secretary of Housing and Urban Development, and Linda McMahon for secretary of Education.
