Obamacare’s Evil Intention

The Left promotes a godless culture of death. They’ve proven it everywhere they’ve ruled around the world. And they’re proving it here with Obamacare.

The latest assault is a 14% cut Obamacare is forcing on Medicare’s home health care program.

  • About 3.5 million poor and ill homebound senior citizens depend on home health aides to assist them with medical care and rehabilitation therapy.
  • About 5,000 home health companies – mainly small businesses – provide thousands of health care workers with jobs providing for needs of these senior citizens.

Both will suffer because of “caring” Obama Democrats.

Obamacare it's shovel ready

The New and Improved Obamacare!

The latest statement from on high is:

You can keep your doctor … if you can afford it.

Obamacare - USPS SS IRS

Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, a top architect of ObamaCare, told Chris Wallace not to worry about “Doc Shock.” Emanuel said it would still be “a matter of choice” whether Americans would buy insurance that covered top-quality care. IOW, you can keep your doctor, if you can afford to pay more.”

WSJ said, “It’s nice to hear a central planner embrace choice, except this needs translating too. The truth is that you may be able to pay more to keep your doctor, but only after you choose one of ObamaCare’s preferred plans that already costs you more than your old plan that ObamaCare forced you to give up.”

Again, this is the Official Word From Obama’s Mouthpiece:

You can keep your doctor, if you can afford it.

How is this different from what we had before?!

Do they have a bigger font?

A few minutes ago, I mistakenly clicked on a graphic on my Facebook wall that I thought would take me to Mark Levin. It went to Daily Kos, where I was informed in the lede that the “right wing noise machine” is “full of shit.”

Note to self: Watch what you click on.

Still, having had some of that famous open-minded left-wing tolerance and civility flung in my face, it did give me an extra tingle of schadenfreude goodness to visit Twitchy and see the sheer SIZE of this headline, especially since it includes “Obamacare” in there:

Reality vs. Rhetoric

You really need to listen to this entire O’Reilly broadcast.

Krauthammer Pans New Obamacare Offensive: You Can’t ‘Repeal Reality with Rhetoric’ [8:56]

2013_11 Employment in America - GOP vs DEM

Obama’s approval rating dropped 9 points in one month, hitting the lowest point ever (37%) in CBS polling of Adult Americans. Obamacare approval dropped 12 points in one month, also hitting the lowest point ever (31%) in CBS polling.

Obamacare disapproval is not only high (61%), but VERY high when you factor in that three-quarters of these STRONGLY disapprove.

  • 7% think the Affordable Care Act is working well.
  • 48% think changes are needed to make it work better.
  • 43% think the law should be repealed entirely.

Americans are too stupid

A quick historical look at H.R. 3590 (111th Congress)

Obamacare was all Democrat

October 8, 2009: H.R. 3590 (111th Congress): Service Members Home Ownership Tax Act of 2009

PURPOSE: To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to modify the first-time homebuyers credit in the case of members of the Armed Forces and certain other Federal employees, and for other purposes. The original text is @ http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?c111:1:./temp/~c111X9TifA::

PASSED: 416 YAY vs. 0 NAY.

December 24, 2009: H.R. 3590 (111th Congress): Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA or ACA)

PURPOSE: To hijack a revenue bill started in the House in order to ram through the Senate’s health care bill, which the House refused to initiate as is required by the Constitution for all revenue bills. The only thing the Senate kept was the number “H.R. 3590”; everything after that was completely DIFFERENT.

PASSED: 60 YAY (all Democrats*) vs. 39 NAY (all Republicans)

*Two YAY votes were cast by Independents who caucus with Democrats.

March 21, 2010: H.R. 3590 (111th Congress): Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA or ACA)

PURPOSE: Any bill amended by the Senate must be returned to the House for another vote. This bill was not “amended” so much as it was entirely REWRITTEN in a blatant effort to by-pass the intention of the Founders TO PROTECT THE PEOPLE FROM BEING TAXED WITHOUT SUFFICIENT REPRESENTATION.

PASSED: YAY 219 (all Democrats) vs. NAY 212 (16% Democrats, 84% Republicans)

March 23, 2010: H.R. 3590 (111th Congress): Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA or ACA)

SIGNED by President Barack Obama (Democrat)

Obama’s Vehicle

Got these in my email … Fox News Roundup and the incomparable Terrell.

Obama has pursued his policy aims with dogged persistency since taking office and has made no secret of his central aim of shifting wealth. The surprise from many reporters at seeing millions of health insurance policies vaporized and in seeing premiums for those already covered leap astronomically indicates either massive inattention or a facile response to a story they can no longer ignore.

Obama’s law turns insurance companies into vehicles for redistribution: heavily regulated, highly protected public utilities with a social-engineering mission. The fact that Obama is emphasizing this point now suggests he knows just how bad the days ahead will be for his law and his party. By hardening the resolve of the third of Americans standing with him on ObamaCare, Obama hopes to make good on his promise to have the law go into effect despite massive opposition and survive at least until the end of his term.

RCØTUS is good at only two things

1. Campaigning

2. Breaking promises

2013_12 03 Ocare site still bust

Even the president’s media cheerleaders are out of excuses. When a CNN reporter logged in to the “new, improved” HealthCare.gov to demonstrate its smoothed-out functionality, it crashed … on television.

The insurance companies that have to deal with the mess the administration is creating are in a panic and even those few Americans who have managed to sign up for coverage through HealthCare.gov may find when they go to their doctor that they are not insured after all.

And that says nothing about all the million of Americans who lost policies and doctors they liked or the people like us who were supposedly the target audience for ObamaCare’s beneficence. We still can’t afford health insurance … but now the IRS is going to fine us for not having it.

The fundamental flaw in all this is Democrat Party philosophy that holds that a big, activist government can solve complex social problems. These clowns can’t even solve a website.

Plop Plop Fizz Fizz

Once upon a time, your wise old Grammy taught you to avoid discussing controversial topics at holiday time, because family gatherings were supposed to be about renewing, not shredding, the ties that bind.

Nowadays, we have the Preacher-in-Chief nagging us to bring up Obamacare at holidays, because … umm … why is that exactly?

2013_11 20 Obama says Have the Talk

Have the Talk – A real Organizing for Action ad [1:51]

Tweeters had fun adding to the Talking Points:

  • Make sure your family knows the turkey was killed for not having health insurance, and they could be next.
  • Repeatedly insist that your family let you be clear.
  • If your family persists in their irrational hatred of ObamaCare and the President accuse them of racism.
  • Insist that all mentions of “God” in the pre-meal prayer be replaced with “Barack”.
  • Filibuster the pre-meal prayer with ObamaCare Talking Points until the food gets cold.

Tweeters suggested a few (mostly scatalogical) ways to respond to obnoxious talking-point spewers. My personal favorite was:

  • Did you hear Obama’s job approval rating is down to 34%?

2013_11 25 Iowahawk on Ocare for Tgiving

November 25: MSNBC’s Christopher Hayes announced to breathless libtards that the Cable News Arm of Obama for America would be devoting an entire hour to fun ways to browbeat your conservative family members.

2013_11 25 Jim Geraghty tweet

Ace of Spades said the left churns out these “How to Talk to Your Family About Politics” guides every single year, something we just don’t see on the Right. Suggested reasons:

  • Progressives are so neurotic, they need “Why I Am Superior” pep talks before every holiday gathering.
  • Dunno about you, but my O’care Talking Points fit on my palm. “You were wrong. Period.”

After Turkey Day, Twitchy aggregated the best of “How did The Talk Go At Your House?” tweets.  Lots of folks mentioned arguing, arguments, yelling, more yelling, indigestion, a burning desire to leave early, go to sleep, get drunk. Others had better experiences:

  • We held a family vote on Obama Care and we were unanimous in being “agin” it. First time we’ve all agreed on anything.
  • Even w/ 10 people giving input, we couldn’t find anything positive to say. Don’t think “O” would be happy 🙂
  • Followed obama’s advice to discuss #obamacare during turkey dinner. Family consensus was obama is worst Pres in US history.
  • Well we sat down as a family and all talked about the failure of #obamacare today at dinner. Thats what we were supposed to do, right?
  • We discussed #Obamacare at Thanksgiving dinner. We all still agree that it sucks.
  • Yeah, #Obamacare was discussed for like 2 seconds. 100% of family members hate it. Period.
  • Everyone’s premium is up 13-18% with higher deductibles. No one likes it. #fullrepeal
  • Liberal family member didn’t say a word in defense of Obamacare.
  • Great dinner and great discussion about the fiasco Obamacare is.
  • Our conversation about O’care at dinner: “It sucks, now please pass the mashed potatoes.”
  • We had an intense discussion about ObamaCare. We all concluded Obama really does not care.
  • For once there were no political arguments at the dinner table this holiday. We all agreed Obamacare stinks.
  • 100% unanimous … #ACA should be repealed.

None of that seems quite what the Turkey-in-Chief had in mind. ::snort:: (Hand him an Alka Seltzer.) Still, his minions kept plugging away.

2013_11 30 CA Dem lies

  • Great news everyone! Thanks to @RepSwalwell’s cousinunclesistermotherbrother http://healthcare.gov is fixed!
  • “Don’t tell anyone I said that.” Which is why he goes on Twitter to tell everyone?
  • NOBODY calls Obamacare “ACA”, especially not “VERY conservative” people.
  • Snickering madly. The “sigh” was a nice touch, buddy.
  • Did @OFA provide you with that phony story?
  • My 5,000,000 fellow Americans who lost coverage, and millions paying more for less, are more real.
  • If this were an actual story, it would be front-page/leading news story on every liberal media outlet.
  • As it would happen, Obama told me over TG dinner (he stops by every year) that he knows Obamacare is a disaster.
  • A VERY liberal family member said over Thanksgiving dinner that she was selling her unicorn. But don’t tell anyone! Sigh
  • A VERY liberal Senate majority leader has it on good authority that Mitt Romney is a tax cheat, felon, and murderer. Shhh. http://twitchy.com/2012/07/31/harryreidfacts-some-guy-totally-told-truther-harry-reid-a-thing-about-romneys-taxes-media-blindly-repeats/

December 1, the nagging continued with Barack Obama tweeting:

This holiday weekend is a great time for a conversation over leftovers: http://OFA.BO/1Koyy1

Next OFA will tell us how to ruin Christmas. FORWARD!

CØN-sequences Writ Large

Finally some clarity on BHOcare

The centralizing of power into the hands of a few has two consequences we are seeing writ large with Obamacare.

  1. It greatly magnifies the harmful effects of dumb decisions made by incompetent people in high places.
  2. It makes graft and corruption cheaper and easier for those with the will to abuse the system for personal gain.
