Hare didn’t care

In the video, Hare claims to have read the bill multiple time. He is challenged on that score with a little math. The bill is 2,700 pages long. Calculating a minute per page to read and comprehend, just one reading would take 45 hours. Multiple readings? Puh-leeze.

Hare also could not specify where in the Constitution it gave Congress the right to force people to buy products they don’t want. The Constitution is 6 pages long.

Even the Supreme Court justices who are considering its constitutionality are loathe to actually READ the whole of the so-called Affordable Care Act.

After a lawyer suggested the justices might go through the bill and decide which parts were constitutional, Justice Scalia said, “You really want us to go through these 2,700 pages? And do you really expect the court to do that? What happened to the Eight Amendment?” (The Eight Amendment prohibits cruel and unusual punishment.)

Obama also reminded Conservatives that we have complained about judicial activism, as if should should automatically agree with him that SCOTUS should keep their mitts off ObamaCare. But the judicial activism that we abhor is justices making rulings based on how they personally feel about an issue, rather than on what the Constitution of the United States says about it … like this guy: https://polination.wordpress.com/2012/03/24/another-supreme-who-ignored-the-law/

My opposition to Obama has nothing to do with race or greed. It has everything to do with him being an immature, narcissistic ass who wasn’t, isn’t and never will be fit to be president of this great nation.

THE SATURDAY GRUDGE

Posted by Pistol Pete

There’s not a lot going on today,so I guess it’s time for a rant on the story that will be politicized ad nauseum for the forseeable future.I’m going to post a few links, although everybody will draw their own conclusion.

I have never considered myself a racist, just an ordinary man who thinks people should be judged on what they have in their souls.I resent women who are mothers at 14,grandmothers at 29 and great-grandmothers in their 40’s.I resent neighborhoods in my own town where whites dare not go after dark and running red lights when the thugs are on the street lest I be carjacked and beaten to death for my car and whatever I have in my pocket.I resent working hard every day of my life and sacrificing so my kids could have a better life then being told I’m greedy because I’m not giving my ‘fair share’ to people who’ve never worked a day and don’t plan to.

There is a Congressional Black Caucus,Miss Black America pageant,Black Businessman’s Assn. and Council of Black Colleges. They get race-based preferences and police and fire departments are forced to lower their standards to allow more blacks while bypassing more qualified white applicants.Liberal politicians fundraise in tax-exempt black churches because white people are too intimidated to protest.

Do you know what the #1 cause of death among black males 16-30 is?Homicide. It’s an everyday occurrence. No special outrage.Last weekend there were over 40 shootings and 18 deaths in Chicago alone. When the weather gets warmer, the crimes will increase substantially.A lot of white-guilters believed Obama would bring the races together. We all knew differently, didn’t we?Racial hatred is the left’s main weapon to keep these sheep on the plantation.

Being intelligent, rational people we wait until all the facts come out before we draw any conclusions.Leftists are the antithesis of rationality. They operated on raw emotion and the Trayvon Martin shooting gave them an excuse to raise hell. All the usual race-hustlers are out in force, including Teh Won,the most shameless race-baiter of all.

This allows him to change the subject from high gas prices,a disastrous energy policy,Obamacare being heard by SCOTUS next week and the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia calling for all churches to be burned. There are many things of far greater import we should be talking about, but the LSM will milk this for all its worth. And that,to me,is the real tragedy.

Rant over for now.I don’t expect any responses, but I said what I felt needed to be said.If I get banned for political incorrectness,so be it.

Evil ObamaCare Provides Tax Dollars for Abortion

On Monday, March 12, 2012, the Department of Health and Human Services issued a final rule regarding establishment of the state health care exchanges required under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PL 111-148).

The rule provides for taxpayer funding of insurance plans that include elective abortion.  This departure from the longstanding policy is accomplished through an accounting arrangement described in the Affordable Care Act and reiterated in the final rule.

To comply with the accounting requirement, plans collect a $1 abortion surcharge from each premium payer.  The enrollee will make two payments, $1 per month for abortion and another payment for the rest of the services covered.  As described in the rule, the surcharge can only be disclosed to the enrollee at the time of enrollment.  Furthermore, insurance plans may only advertise the total cost of the premiums without disclosing that enrollees will be charged a $1 per month to directly subsidize abortions.

The final rule mentions, but does not address concerns about abortion coverage in “multi-state” plans administered by the Federal Government’s Office of Personal Management (OPM).  There is nothing in the Affordable Care Act to prevent some OPM (government administered) plans from covering elective abortion, and questions remain about whether OPM multi-state plans will include elective abortion.  If such plans do include abortion, there are concerns that the abortion coverage will even be offered in states that have prohibited abortion coverage in their state exchanges. The final rule indicates that specific standards for multi-state plans will be forthcoming in future rules from OPM.

The final rule extinguishes the hope that the implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act would respect the rights of the unborn and the religious liberty of pro-life citizens who have conscientious objections to their tax dollars being used to fund abortion.

Senate says NO to Religious Liberty

Democrats created the HHS mandate requiring ALL health insurance plans to provide birth control, sterilization and the morning-after abortion pill, thus forcing Americans who oppose these activities to choose between paying for them, which would violate their consciences, or else stop offering health insurance to their employees.

Democrats and their lapdogs in the media lied about what the HHS mandate and the Blunt Amendment were about. Rather than admit the HHS mandate was a gross abrogation of our First Amendment rights, they claimed Catholics and Republicans were trying to deprive women of access to birth control, sterilization and the morning-after abortion pill.

Protesting the HHS mandate

Click on graphic to embiggen.

The HHS Obamacare mandate will require all employers to provide contraception, sterilization and abortion-causing drugs in their insurance coverage (without co-payment). Both the religious exception and the so-called Obama compromise are so narrow that they don’t cover most religiously-based institutions.

A search of public records has shown that none of the 15 members of the HHS committee has ever demonstrated any support whatsoever for the pro-life position, despite the undeniable fact that this is the majority position in America.

Worse, the vast majority of the 15 members of the committee that created the mandate have strong relationships with pro-abortion groups and activities:

Claire Brindis – Member of NARAL’s Board of Directors and one of it’s “most steadfast and generous donors.”

Angela Diaz – Former board member of Physicians for Reproductive Choice; former senior vice president of the International Women’s Health Coalition, an advocacy group dedicated to the premise that abortion and contraception are “universal and inalienable” human rights.

Paula A. Johnson – Chairwoman of Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts; affiliated with (NOW); winner of NARAL’s 2011 “Champion for Choice” award.

Magda G. Peck – Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood of Nebraska and Council Bluffs (served as both vice chair and chair); associated with a host of other organizations that advocate for abortion and free access to contraception.

Alina Salganicoff – Vice President and Director of Women’s Health Policy at the Kaiser Family Foundation, a major proponent of abortion and contraception on demand.

Donations to pro-abortion political campaigns: Linda Rosenstock (over $40,000); Kimberly Gregory ($35,200); Paula A. Johnson (more than $30,000); Francisco Garcia (between $11,750 and $13,000); Carol Weisman ($4,500); Roberta Ness (at least $2,500); E. Albert Reece ($1,000);  Alina Salganicoff ($950).
