Heads up, Dumbocrats! You can’t blame Republican leadership for ISIS.

Not that they won’t try. Some of their moron followers will even believe it. But then … Jim Jones’ followers believed drinking the kool-aid would ensure them a seat on the alien spaceship.

Nov 13, 2015: Just hours before ISIS attacked Paris, President Obama bragged, “We have contained ISIS.” [3:59]

In the interview above, Obama also sneered at Ben Carson’s assessment of Obama’s military leadership in the Middle East, saying “He doesn’t know much about it.” Back in the day, then-Senator Obama was a very harsh critic of Bush’s handling of the war on terror. Now he whines about how hard it all is and how it takes time, which are exactly the things Bush said back then.

OBAMA no ISIS strategy

Nov 16, 2015: G20 Reporter to Obama, “Why Can’t We Take Out These Bastards?” [2:18]

Nov 16, 2015:  Following Obama’s presser, his former head of intelligence, Lt. Gen Michael Flynn, had harsh words.

“Number one, the president was 100% wrong. If you don’t clearly define the enemy that you’re going to face, you cannot figure out the way to defeat that enemy. We are facing radical Islamists.

“And frankly, this is a war on reality, and the president and his close advisers need to get real. They are obviously not under enough pressure, they are not JVs, they just demonstrated that again, and they will absolutely attack again in places like London, in places like Berlin, in places like New York, in places like Washington, DC. They’re very, very well organized.

“This is the problem of letting the world go to hell and assuming it won’t come back to bite you in the rear end. And our frankly — and I’m going to be very candid here, Sean — our amateurish foreign policy has its own place of responsibility in the mayhem that we are seeing right now.

“The president, to stand there and say that our strategy is working against this vicious, vile enemy, is absurd. It’s absolutely absurd. And I just — I’m stunned at his press conference today, and the way he characterized this brutal attack, this brutal 9/11-style attack in Paris as a ‘setback.’”

GOP DEBATE: Cruz on illegal immigration

Cruz is exactly right.

VIDEO @ http://therightscoop.com/ted-cruz-kills-it-on-illegal-immigration-video/

Saying Republicans are anti-immigration is offensive. We’re pro-law abiding immigrants! Besides which, Mexico and most other countries have zero tolerance for illegals. Why should we be any different?

Immigration laws

Saying Republicans lack compassion is also offensive. IMO, Democrats are the hard-hearted ones for so blithely ignoring the suffering of the millions of Americans that their horrible economic policies have put out of work.

Why are any devout Catholics still aligned with the Democrat brand?

At the beginning of the 20th c., the GOP was very hostile to Catholicism and to the flood of largely Irish and Italian immigrants, many of whom were Catholic. When Democrats nominated the first Catholic presidential candidate in 1928, the GOP responded with anti-Catholic ads like this one.

Al Smith GOP anti-RCC ad

The hostility of the GOP to Catholics started a multi-generational devotion to the Democrat brand that reached its peak with our only Catholic president, JFK.

Kennedy quote

All of this predates the Democratic Party jumping on board the abortion and same sex marriage band wagons, but brand loyalty is a tough nut to crack.

Having been raised in an all-Democrat environment, I experienced this difficulty personally.  I worked on Jimmy Carter’s campaign, but felt compelled to leave the party after the DNC abandoned the unborn. For years, I hunkered down in the Right to Life party, voting Republican only because they were the most pro-life candidates, but never, ever identifying myself with “those people.”

When Right to Life folded in New York, I got a letter advising me to register Republican. (NY primaries are open only to registered party members.) As I read it, my stomach heaved like I was car sick. I realized it was a visceral reaction to the IDEA of registering Republican.  Until this happened, I had NO IDEA I harbored this powerful prejudice!

Add this inherited revulsion for the GOP brand to the fact that lots of people are just too busy to research political issues beyond what the MSM and Democrat Catholics like Pelosi and Biden tell them.  And why should they when they get so much support for the “Democrats are the goodies, Republicans are the baddies” reality they were raised with?  I pray for them every day.

Election News

Life, family and religious values won big this week. Political correctness and radical left-wing causes lost. Word is the MSM is suffering vapors and has retired to the boudoir to dab lavender oil on its temples.

SWOON pearls

65% of Ohio voters rejected an initiative to legalize marijuana, despite pot supporters having out-spent opponents 20-to-1.

Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant easily won re-election, despite his public support for ending legal abortion in his state.

Pro-Life Republican Matt Bevin is now governor of the usually solidly Democrat state of Kentucky.  Reports show that his defense of Kim Davis was a huge factor in his victory.

Virginia Delegate Bob Marshall easily won re-election against a Democrat opponent who had spewed the usual traditional values are “divisive, mean-spirited, and discriminatory” crap.

Uber liberal San Franciscans voted out the Sheriff responsible for freeing the illegal immigrant who subsequently went on to viciously kill Kate Steinle.

Republican Mike Harmon successfully challenged Democrat incumbent, Adam Edelen, for State Auditor.  Edelen spent nearly $1 million on the campaign; Harmon spent about $40,000. Edelen had said he planned to run for Senator Rand Paul’s seat in 2016.  Yeah, no.

Houston voters, who usually lean solidly Democrat, rejected the radical transgender law that would have forced men to put up with women and women to put up with men using their restrooms, showers, and changing rooms. The lesbian mayor of Houston demanded opposition ministers deliver copies of their sermons to her, then refused to put the issue on the ballot. She was overturned by a unanimous state Supreme Court decision and the law was voted down 63% to 37%.

MSM harmful if swallowed

The MSM is so blind to its own bias that they think the left is the center.  It’s not.

Leadership of Commission on Presidential Debates

The Commission that plans presidential debates advertises itself as “non-partisan” and lists politically neutral associations for all commission leadership members, even for people who have been very active in politics.

For example, Leon Panetta’s bio lists him only as “Chairman, Panetta Institute for Public Policy.” Puh-leeze. Panetta served eight terms (1994 to 1997) as the Representative (D) for CA-17. Then, he went on to serve in not one, but three high level positions within Democrat presidential administrations!

  • 1994-1997: Clinton’s WH Chief of Staff
  • 2009-2011: Obama’s CIA Director
  • 2011-2013: Obama’s Defense Secretary

They also list four former presidents as Honorary Co-Chairmen; however, none of them are the two still-living Republicans.  N.b., I removed the two dead Republicans from the list when I made this graphic.

PLUMBING THE JOURNALISTIC SEWER

You’ve probably heard about it by now. You may have even seen parts of it. Last night’s debate was as pathetic a display of moderator arrogance and outright venality as has ever been my fortune to witness. I don’t even think they had everything planned, it’s just when they started they couldn’t help themselves. I may do a separate post with the entire debacle broken down into pieces. For now I’ll just post short bites, some of which you have no doubt already heard.

TED CRUZ GOT THINGS STARTED. IT WAS ALSO THE HIGHEST RESPONSE FRANK DUNTZ HAS EVER GOTTEN FROM ONE OF HIS INFAMOUS FOCUS GROUPS.

Ted Cruz Slams the Media During GOP Debate
“The questions that have been asked so far in this debate illustrate why the American people don’t trust the media,” said the U.S. senator from Texas.
