Trumpalin vs. Cruz

Some commentators seem to think Palin will bring her Conservative followers into the Trump camp. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

2016_01 Comments on TrumPalin

Pam Geller notes two red flags she has seen in Palin’s past behavior that indicated she is not the ballsy, principled conservative leader we thought she was. I.e., when she quit the Governorship of Alaska and when she promised, but never delivered, a written statement of support for 911 family survivors to read at a Ground Zero mosque protest.

Sarah Rumpf lists specific instances in which Trump and Palin have been on opposite sides in the past. I.e., abortion, private property rights, courtesy towards the disabled, politicians who flip flop, marriage, and putting the rights of the little guy ahead of government and business thugs. Since Trump is shooting for top of the ticket, one must conclude that Palin has decided to sacrifice principle for whatever it is The Donald has promised her.

Doug Ross provides this handy graphic comparison. At http://directorblue.blogspot.com/2016/01/your-handy-dandy-trump-vs-cruz.html, you can click on each policy or issue to read the back story.

WE ARE SIMPATICO

It is gratifying to know that my fellow blogger and bestest buddy CtH shares the deep disappointment I’m sure many of us feel about Sarah Palin endorsing The Donald. I have never been ambiguous about my feelings toward Trump. I enjoy watching him slap the media around but I don’t trust him one iota. He’s not running because he wants to make things better, he’s running for the attention. He laps it up like a thirsty hound. Sarah threw away years of goodwill with her joining the circus that is the Trump campaign. My guess, which is as good as anybody’s, is that Palin has been screwed over by the GOPe so badly she’s only in it for herself now. I doubt she will be his VP candidate, given that the left’s vitriol toward her is still an all-consuming fire. I do, however, think he’s promised her a position, perhaps as Energy secretary. Trump is using ethanol subsidies to pander for votes in Iowa, even though it’s a fact (Algore admitted it) that ethanol does nothing for gas and he lied about it just to get votes in 2000. Meanwhile, underdeveloped countries are starving for the corn that once was used for food that now is wasted in refining fossil fuels.

Sarah Palin Just Threw Away Years of Goodwill as a Principled Conservative

While Trump has been sharply criticized by many (including me) for his lack of support for conservative principles on many issues, Palin has been viewed as a conservative standard-bearer ever since she first appeared on the national scene in 2008. Much of Palin’s popularity with tea partiers and conservative activists comes from her willingness to be a strong voice for conservative principles, and sadly, today’s endorsement stands in direct contradiction to many of Palin’s own words over the years.

On abortion On eminent domain On mocking people with disabilities On flip-flopping politicians

Today, Palin is standing in Ames, Iowa to put her support behind someone who cannot be trusted to protect the unborn, who has twice traded in his wives for younger models (literally), who claims to be for the “little guy” but who has been all too willing to use government as a hired thug to line his own pockets, and who spent years making significant donations to Hillary Clinton, the likely Democratic nominee.

I miss the Sarah Palin I thought I knew. I miss the tough-talking governor who energized the 2008 ticket. I miss the tea party champion. I miss the brave woman who didn’t just talk the talk, but walked the walk on the pro-life issue, no matter how nasty the attacks on her and her family. I don’t know where this Sarah Palin went, but she wasn’t in Iowa today.

I am so done with that woman

No palin

I’m sorry if any of you like Donald Trump.  I think he’s a narcissist whose only moral compass is the one that points at Donald Trump.  We’ve had eight devastating years of this kind of “leadership.”  How an allegedly devout Christian and pro-lifer like Sarah Palin could SUPPORT his candidacy just boggles my mind.

Palin claims Trump will support life.  Yeah, right.  Just like Obama promised to rein in government spending and lower the debt?  ::pblt::

http://liveactionnews.org/donald-trump-abortion-muddle/

I get the anger so many of us feel and how much of a relief it is to hear The Donald rail against the evils the Left has inflicted on our once great nation.  But look past that to the man behind the message.  He’s even more abrasive, more self-serving, and less qualified than Barack Obama ever was.

Now, to add injury to insult, she’s playing the victim card on behalf of her son.  I’ve got PTSD.  I know people who have it, including soldiers.  We don’t blame our bad behaviors on it, even when those behaviors are demonstrably connected to the trauma.  And why not?  Because we’re grown-ups who take responsibility.  We pull up our socks and do what needs doing to get better.

As for her blaming Track’s problems on Obama’s treatment of vets … puh-leeze. That excuse might fly with some messed up vet who has nobody and nothing.  But Track Palin has a big, wealthy, supportive family.  Sarah playing Mama of De Nile does not change the fact that Track has only Track to blame for his behavior.

POST-OP POST

Your intrepid reporter underwent successful cataract surgery yesterday. God bless Medicare. The surgeon was referred by my family doctor and is the best in the city. When he schedules these operations he does an average of 16 in a day.As always, the doctor was running behind so it took an extra hour. The patient behind the curtain next to me in pre-op spoke no English and the nurse had to get a translator on the phone to get the necessary questions answered. When she came to check on me I asked how often they had to do that. She said it was a lot. Welcome to America.

Trump floats unexpected choice for VP

Former Sen. Scott Brown, who represented Massachusetts, but now resides in New Hampshire, got the nod this weekend.

While speaking at a Portsmouth, New Hampshire rally Saturday, Trump said that Brown would make a “very good” vice president.

When Trump asked Brown if he would consider another political run, an audience member suggested a Trump-Brown ticket.

Cruz Camp Concerned Sarah Palin May Endorse Trump in Ames
The Donald Trump campaign announced last weekend they will be making a major announcement on Tuesday in Ames, Iowa at Iowa State University… With a special guest–

“I think it [would] be a blow to Sarah Palin, because Sarah Palin has been a champion for the conservative cause, and if she was going to endorse Donald Trump, sadly, she would be endorsing someone who’s held progressive views all their life on the sanctity of life, on marriage, on partial-birth abortion,” Cruz campaign spokesman Rick Tyler said on CNN’s “New Day.”

WOULD SHE RUN AS TRUMP’S V.P. IF ASKED?
IS HE SMART ENOUGH TO REALIZE WHAT A FORCE SHE STILL IS, EVEN AFTER BEING SCREWED OVER BY MCSTAIN?

ABOUT THAT SHAM OF A “PRISONER EXCHANGE”
Obama’s ugly prisoner exchange with Iran

First: It’s a de facto prisoner exchange — of Americans who had done nothing wrong, for Iranians charged with or convicted of real crimes, even if the administration proudly noted that it had refused to spring anyone accused of terrorism

Second: The White House sprang the deal the day it was unlocking $100 billion in Iranian assets as per the nuclear accord.
Obama & Co. insist the nuclear understanding will pave the way to better Iranian behavior, but none of our allies in the region — from the Israelis to the Saudis — buys it.

Instead, they’re figuring out what they have to do to guard their own security now that America no longer has their backs.

KHAMEINI: WHAT ABOUT THE JEW?
OBAMA: F*CK THE JEW
FROM 2013:
Reports: American who went missing in Iran worked for CIA

Both the State Department and Bob Levinson’s family have long denied he was working for the U.S. government when he disappeared on a trip to Iran in 2007.

But Thursday’s reports from the Washington Post and the AP claim that Levinson had been on a CIA mission to dig up information.
‘Extremely Betrayed’: Family of Ex-FBI Agent Believed Held By Iran Lashes Out at White House
“We had to learn it from the TV ourselves, and that’s very disappointing and heartbreaking,” Robert Levinson’s wife, Christine, told the Associated Press. She used stronger language in another interview, telling ABC News that she felt “extremely betrayed” by the White House.

YOU WERE WORKING, I WAS WATCHING

There was a massive rally in DC today to stop the Iran Deal. Noted conservatives Mark Levin, Ted Cruz, Phil Robertson, Sarah Palin, and The Donald, whose party is unclear. There were thousands of pissed-off patriots in attendance, although the news outlets will put it at “hundreds” or a “sizable’ crowd. In the end, it will make little difference since we are largely ignored by the DC gasbags who want our money and votes but not our voices. They’d just as soon we sat down and shut up. Not gonna happen.

I have posted the videos so you can view the ones you want.

Democrats can say and do just about anything

Or so it would seem. In 1971, Bernie Sanders launched his first bid for Senate. In 1972, he published this essay about how, at heart, men and women really hate each other. Read the first few lines.

1972_02 Bernie Sanders creepy essay

Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT) styles himself a 2016 presidential contender. If a Republican candidate had ever written an essay like the one Sanders wrote, it would be leading every news show, every talk show, and every social media Top Hits. But he’s a Democrat, so the Left is giving him a pass.

In 2008, Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin mentioned that you can see Russia from Alaska (which is true). Palin look-alike Tina Fey of SNL spun it into the comedy gold line, “I can see Russia from my house.” The Left put Fey’s words into Palin’s mouth so often that multitudes of voters thought Palin was a moron.

In 2012, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney talked about how much care he had put into hiring females for his Massachusetts gubernatorial administration. He instructed his staff to headhunt qualified women and was proud of the fact that they had given him multiple binders filled with women’s resumes to consider. The Left turned the phrase “binders full of women” into a symptom of the GOP’s alleged war on women.

But Bernie’s creepy sex essay?

“What difference at this point does it make?!”

Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., head of the House Benghazi committee seeking her emails, said,  “Without access to Secretary Clinton’s personal server, there is no way for the State Department to know it has acquired all documents that should be made public, and given State’s delay in disclosing the fact Secretary Clinton exclusively used personal email to conduct State business, there is no way to accept State’s or Secretary Clinton’s certification she has turned over all documents that rightfully belong to the American people.”

CPAC 2015 : A REVIEW

In case you were interested in anything, here’s some of the video and related commentary.

Cruz: “The Next 20 Months Are Going to Be Very Dangerous”

You know, prior presidents have been repudiated [and] they’ve reacted with contrition. [P]resident Obama, instead, reacted with anger and defiance.”

“I believe the next 20 months we are going to see a degree of lawlessness that will exceed anything we’ve seen in the previous six years,” he continued. “I think we’re going to see executive order after executive order. I think we’re going to see the abuse of regulations in a way that crushes small businesses, destroys jobs. I think we are going to see the continued weaponization of the IRS in the federal government, and it is going to be dangerous.”

Scott Walker Is Trying to Woo CPAC. And It’s Working.

This is from National Journal,so take it for what it is.

The Wisconsin governor continued his pivot toward the right in his CPAC speech Thursday, and the crowd loved it.
“Here in America there is a reason we celebrate the Fourth of July and not April 15th,” Walker said. “Because in America, we celebrate our independence from the government, not our dependence on it.”

Walker got an unexpected opportunity to flex his legendary anti-union muscles on stage when protesters interrupted his speech by shouting from the crowd.

“Those voices cannot drown out the millions of Americans who want us to stand up for the hardworking taxpayers,” Walker said to the protesters.

Suddenly the Left cares about a potential president’s academic credentials

Funny how they kept bleating that Barack Obama was the Smartest Man Evah, without once blinking an eyelid over the fact that Obama had all his academic records sealed.  We have NO evidence that he was ever enrolled at any of the three colleges he claims he attended, much less what courses he took or what grades he earned.

But George Bush? “OMG he only got C’s!”  And Sarah Palin? “OMG she went to a college in fly-over country!” Now it’s Governor Scott Walker, a man with a proven record of success that far outstrips any credentials Barack Obama had before he ran for president … suddenly he’s unfit because he didn’t graduate from college.  What a bunch of hypocrites!

Greta Van Susteren – February 12 at 9:38pm

Have you seen the media reports about Governor Scott Walker not finishing college? Many in the media are falling all over themselves like it is the Pentagon papers! I am not telling you to vote for or against Gov Walker should he run for President …but I am saying this: I know a lot of very very smart people who never went to college and I know a bunch of big dummies who did go to college (and graduated.) I don’t know about you, but I sure don’t measure intelligence by college degrees.

Greta’s Facebook page @ https://www.facebook.com/gretawire?fref=nf

I was born literally across the street from Cornell University and have lived in or near its hometown of Ithaca, New York, for all of my sixty years. I know from a great deal of personal experience that having a college degree is no guarantee of intelligence, competence, or common sense. If you need more than just my word on this …
