Learning the Hard Way

Donald Trump is NOT! like Barack Hussein Obama. He’s not the weak, America-hating fraud that he succeeded. Liars and cowards are most often prevalent in Democrats and Obama is no exception.

Now Iranian president Rouhani is engaging in empty saber rattling. His comments sound just like the late and unlamented Saddam Hussein who called Desert Storm “the mother of all battles.” For about three days anyway. Now comes this:

“America should know that peace with Iran is the mother of all peace, and war with Iran is the mother of all wars,” Rouhani had told a meeting of Iranian diplomats.

May Day! May Day!

Just kidding. Had to come up with something relative to the first of May.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced yesterday that the IDF had loads of evidence that (gasp) Iran lied about stopping their nuclear program with that joke the Democrats called the “Iran deal”. The Ayatollah, along with every other leader in the world, knew what the leftists and the slobbering press refused to see or accept. That Barry was an imbecilic phony who got by his entire life having things done for him because an African polygamist got a liberal white tramp to open her legs. For eight years all he had to show was his hostile takeover of the nation’s health system. With time running out he needed something to show as a “legacy”. The deal he struck was simple: Give the lying terrorist regime everything they wanted for them to sign a worthless piece of paper so he could do his Neville Chamberlain act. Continue reading

The Donald Does Dinner

The president hosted his first state dinner last evening, honoring President Macron of France and his wife. The event was arranged largely by our stunning First Lady. President Trump held a press opportunity before the gala and reminded everybody he was in charge.

A toast to ‘unbreakable friendship’: Trump and Melania pull out all the stops as they host President Macron, the French first lady and 120 guests at the White House for glittering state dinner
President Donald Trump and wife Melania welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron and wife Brigitte to the White House Tuesday night for their first state dinner
The Trumps held hands on the steps of the White House before they each exchanged kisses with the Macrons
Melania stole the show in a Chanel haute couture silver gown embroidered with crystals and sequins
In a toast before Tuesday’s dinner honoring France, Trump described his wife as ‘America’s absolutely incredible first lady’
He went on to raise a glass to President Macron saying: ‘May our friendship grow even deeper’
Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner were among the first to arrive with the first daughter wearing a $12,000 pink Rodarte gown
All eyes were on Melania as she stole the show in a Chanel black Chantilly lace haute couture gown that had been hand-painted with silver and embroidered with crystal and sequins.
The First Lady paired her gown with a pair of gunmetal stilettos.
Brigitte Macron opted for a Louis Vuitton cream full-length gown with long sleeves and gold brocade detail.

Melania meticulously plans first State Dinner
In a departure from past State Dinners, the president is not inviting any Democrat lawmakers or members of the press to the shindig that will celebrate the historical ties between the two countries and mark the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I.
But then, given the shameful way Democrats have treated President Trump, who can blame him?
The menu for Tuesday dinner will include three courses featuring American dishes with French influences, according to The Hill. The main course will consist of a rack of spring lamb with Carolina gold rice jambalaya, cooked New Orleans’ style.
Wines made from French plants harvested in Oregon will also be served.
CBS News White House Correspondent Mark Knoller tweeted specific details of the menu:

Macron Rests Hand On Trump’s Arm After Trump Mentions Hero French Policeman
“This righteous calling, this sacred heritage, is what moved a young Frenchman to risk death for American liberty at Yorktown. It is what spurred the Americans to storm the cliffs of Omaha Beach,” he continued. “Just weeks ago, we added a new name to this chronicle of our great heroes, a brave French policeman named Arnaud Beltrame. He stared down evil and did not flinch.”
Beltrame willingly traded places with a hostage during a standoff in March. He died of injuries sustained in the incident and was later awarded with a French national honor.

Andrea Mitchell, NBC’s chief foreign affairs correspondent, stated on MSNBC Tuesday that French President Emmanuel Macron is serving a “four-year term,” which is not true.

Trump Warns: If Iran Threatens Us, They Will Pay “A Price Like Few Countries Have Ever Paid”

At a White House press conference with the French President, U.S. President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to Iran to never threaten the U.S. with nuclear weapons, or pay “a price like few countries have ever paid.”
He also warned the Arab States that they are going to have to pay if the U.S. is going to protect them from Iran, saying “the United States is embarrassingly into the Middle East.” Trump said states like Qatar, Kuwait, the U.A.E., and Saudi Arabia are “immensely wealthy” and “would not be there if it were not for the United States (and to a lesser extent, France).”
The United States will not continue to pay, and [the Gulf States] will also put soldiers on the ground, which they are not doing. We will, in fact, bring lots of people home, and we will have a strong blockage to the Mediterranean, which to me is very important. Because if we don’t you have Iran going right to the Mediterranean and we will not have that.

Merkel Headed for a ‘Cold Reception’ in Washington, German Press Fears
‘Fanfare for Macron, Cold Shoulder for Merkel,’ laments the leading German daily ahead of the Friday visit

Germany, an export nation, is especially worried at the prospect of trade agreements and duty-free [market access] losing their validity” HUFFPOST wrote, alluding to the recent measures taken by the US government to raise tariffs on foreign steel and aluminum imports.
“Furthermore, it will be about the international trouble spots–primarily Syria. The US has lost trust globally, but recently France and Great Britain supported military strike against the Assad regime,” the left-wing news outlet added. Germany did not take part in that mission.

Hawaii, the 50th state in our union, is a liberal paradise. Voting Republican there is considered a felony. In this hard left Valhalla everything is run top to bottom by Democrats. That’s why it is disingenuous that after someone mistakenly hit the wrong button to sound a false alarm of an impending nuclear attack, the knee-jerk assclowns on the Left blamed Donald Trump.

‘He feels really bad’: Civil Defense employee who sparked terror in Hawaii by accidentally triggering ballistic missile warning will be ‘retrained’ say officials after thousands fled to bomb shelters

  • The alert was issued to residents’ phones at 8.07am on Saturday morning.
  • It told them to seek shelter and warned of an ‘inbound ballistic missile threat’.
  • It took 38 minutes for a second phone alert to be issued across the state.
  • By then, terrified residents had flocked to shelters and into their garages.
  • Civil Defense employee accidentally hit alert, was unaware until his phone got it.
  • An FCC investigation into the incident is underway, officials said.

Klein: For 38 Terrifying Minutes, Hawaii Experienced Israeli Life under Rocket Threat

For thirty-eight terrifying minutes on Saturday, Hawaii residents unfortunately experienced a sampling of life in Israel during recent wars here when Hawaiians received a mistaken emergency alert notification warning of a “ballistic missile threat inbound to Hawaii.”

Jim Carrey, Jamie Lee Curtis Lash Out At President Trump Over Hawaii Nuke Scare

Carrey tweeted about a half-hour later, writing along with posting an image of a mushroom cloud that Trump will bring about a global nuclear holocaust, “I woke up this morning in Hawaii with ten minutes to live. It was a false alarm, but a real psychic warning. If we allow this one-man Gomorrah and his corrupt Republican congress to continue alienating the world we are headed for suffering beyond all imagination. ;^\”

Democrat Tulsi Gabbard blames Trump for false missile alert in Hawaii

Hawaii’s nutty Rep. Tulsi Gabbard blamed Trump for the false missile alert in Hawaii that made millions panic. She says it’s his fault because he hasn’t done what a handful of presidents before him had not been able to do either – solve North Korea.

If there’s one thing you actually CANNOT blame Trump for is the mess in North Korea. Each president before Trump has kicked the can down the road, even as we had more and more signs that they were building up their nuclear and ICBM capabilities. Yes, it falls on Trump’s lap, but it’s not an easy thing to solve, and he’s certainly trying.

In any case, given that some idiot in Hawaii just “pressed the wrong button” and panicked millions, maybe Tulsi should look after her own in the state before casting aspersions on the prezzy.

False missile alert: So are we buying this “wrong button” story?

When Allahpundit was covering the breaking news of Oh My God We’re All Going To Die yesterday, panic slowly turned to relief, but those feelings gave way to a mixture of anger and confusion. What the heck happened? By the end of the article we learn that the rather tardy apology from the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency (HEMA) boiled down to one excuse… somebody pushed the wrong button.

Trump says DACA ‘is probably dead’ because of Democrats

President Trump in a tweet on Sunday said the Obama-era policy that protects young immigrants known as “Dreamers” is “probably dead” and blamed its demise on Democrats.

“DACA is probably dead because the Democrats don’t really want it, they just want to talk and take desperately needed money away from our Military.”

In his series of tweets, Trump also renewed his call for a “merit” based immigration system.

I, as President, want people coming into our Country who are going to help us become strong and great again, people coming in through a system based on MERIT. No more Lotteries! #AMERICA FIRST,” he said.

Trey Gowdy resigns as House Ethics Committee member

Gowdy faced criticism late last year after it was revealed that he used $150,000 in taxpayer dollars to settle a dispute with a former aide, who had accused the GOP congressman of firing him after he refused to focus his work on investigating former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Maryland Rep. Elijah Cummings, the top Democrat on the Oversight Committee, said last month that it was “astonishing” Gowdy wouldn’t meet with a whistleblower who claimed to have information on former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn.

Iranian Officials Blast Trump Over Threat To Pull Out From Nuclear Deal

Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that it would not accept any renegotiation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), otherwise known as the 2015 nuclear deal, and promised a response to new U.S. sanctions.

“While Trump is forced to carry out the binding measures included in the JCPOA, he is continuing his past years approach, and in order to show his hostility towards the great Iranian nation, he has put some Iranian and non-Iranian individuals on the sanctions list out of desperation under illegal, worn-out, and ridiculous pretexts so as to make up for at least part of his failures,” the statement reads.

New United Nations Boss Unveils Plan to Promote Global Mass Migration

Guterres, a former Socialist Party prime minister in his native Portugal, took over the top job at the UN on January 1st, having previously served as the institution’s High Commissioner for Refugees.

His article, titled ‘Migration can benefit the world. This is how we at the UN plan to help’, makes the bold claim that mass migration “powers economic growth, reduces inequalities and connects diverse societies”, in order to promote the Global Compact for Migration.

McAuliffe Says He’d Deck Trump if Trump Got In His Space

McAuliffe, the Democratic governor of Virginia, is likely to run for president in 2020. That apparently would be the same year he might be facing assault charges.

Judicial Anarchy Over DACA

Another activist judge runs roughshod over the separation of powers.

Needless to say, President Trump was not happy with this latest example of judicial overreach.

It just shows everyone how broken and unfair our Court System is when the opposing side in a case (such as DACA) always runs to the 9th Circuit and almost always wins before being reversed by higher courts,” President Trump tweeted, referring to the District Court judge from the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

Protecting the national security of the citizens of the United States and concerns over whether Obama had overstepped the constitutional bounds of his executive authority by ordering DACA’s implementation in the first place play second fiddle in Judge Alsup’s mind to the welfare of immigrants in the country illegally and of the University of California at which they are students or staff outweigh any other considerations.

Notably, one of the plaintiffs in this case – Janet Napolitano, serving in her capacity as chancellor of the University of California – is using California taxpayers’ money to defend the constitutionally shaky DACA which she helped to create as Secretary of Homeland Security in 2012.

IRAN: From Vice President Pence: “The last administration’s refusal to act ultimately emboldened Iran’s tyrannical rulers to crack down on the dissent. The Green Revolution was ruthlessly put down, and the deadly silence on the streets of Iran matched the deafening silence from the White House. To this day, many Iranians blame the United States for abandoning them in their hour of need. Today, the Iranian people are once again rising up to demand freedom and opportunity, and under President Trump, the United States is standing with them. This time, we will not be silent.”

IRAN: The U.S. Treasury Department announced it’s placing new sanctions against five Iranian entities over ties to the country’s ballistic missile program and said that “additional sanctions targeting human rights abuses would be forthcoming.”

TAX CUTS: To date, more than 100 companies are giving “Trump bonuses” after the Republicans’ historic tax victory. “There is a broad and deep tsunami building,” John Kartch of Americans for Tax Reform tells the paper, as businesses across the country look to raise wages, increase charitable giving, and extend bonuses.

REFUGEES: Violent crime in Germany rose by about 10% in 2015 and 2016. A study found that 90% of that crime was attributed to young male refugees.

DRUGS: Under Obama, states were advised the DOJ would not obstruct states that legalized marijuana, despite the fact that marijuana use is illegal under federal law. Trump’s DOJ has just rescinded all that policy.

New Year, New Format

We begin 2018 with a different approach to disseminating the mindless drivel you’ve come to expect from your intrepid reporter. They will generally be long, usually rambling, and at some point you will realize you wasted minutes of your life you’ll never get back.

President Trump’s 1st Year in Office an ECONOMIC MIRACLE: All Time Stock Market Highs – Most Jobs in History – Highest GDP Ever

President Trump’s first year in office resulted in the greatest year in stock market history! The Dow ended up nearly 5,000 points for the year which was the highest increase in the Dow’s more than 100 year history. The Dow reached all-time new highs a record 71 times in 2017, breaking the record for the most all-time highs in a calendar year set in 1995.

At the final bell for the year the Dow closed near its highest closing amount ever at 24,719. Since last year’s election the Dow is up 35%!

Finally: Signs of a real economic recovery for the US

US GDP, for example, is now on pace to grow at an annual rate of about 3 percent for the first three full quarters of President Trump’s term. Compare that to the less than 2 percent average annual growth under President Barack Obama.

Indeed, not a single year saw 3 percent growth or more under Obama, the only president in modern history with such a sorry record. Things may finally be turning around.

Trump pulls brakes on $13B Obama-backed rail-tunnel plan

An Obama-era plan to have the federal government finance half of a $13 billion rail tunnel project ran into a red light Friday from the Trump administration.

The original Obama-era plan called for costs to be split among New York state, New Jersey and the federal government.

But in a letter Friday, the Trump administration notified New York and New Jersey that the Obama-era deal was now “non-existent” because the states recently requested that their portions be covered by loans from the federal government — meaning Washington would supply all of the initial funding for what the Trump White House is calling “a local project.”

Former Israeli Ambassador To The US: Obama Rejected Iran Green Revolution For Nuclear Deal

US President Barack Obama chose not to support the 2009 Iranian Green Protest Movement, because he hoped to reach a deal with Iran on its nuclear weapons that he signed six years later, then-ambassador to the US and current Deputy Minister Michael Oren (Kulanu) said Monday.

Obama’s failure to help Iranian protesters has been criticized since then by Israeli officials, led by Jewish Agency chairman and former Soviet dissident Natan Sharansky, who has called it the biggest failure to help human rights in modern history

Former National Security Advisor Susan Rice tweeted a New York Times op-ed by former Obama aide Philip Gordon, “How Can Trump Help Iran’s Protesters? The Unreported Revolution

Protests have raged for days throughout Iran, as people rebel against an oppressive regime that rules with an iron fist. This is not the first time the people have risen up, resulting in rivers of blood among those craving freedom.

What’s going on in Iran? – June 2009 – Green Revolution

Fact Check: Was Obama ‘silent’ on Iran 2009 protests?

On June 13, 2009, Iran announced that incumbent President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad won a landslide victory. His main opponent, Mir Hossein Moussavi, had already alleged blatant violations. After the announcement, angry crowds of Moussavi supporters took to the streets.

June 15, Obama gave remarks on the situation. He said he was watching the news from Iran. It is “up to Iranians to make decisions about who Iran’s leaders will be,” he said, adding that “we respect Iranian sovereignty and want to avoid the United States being the issue inside of Iran.”

Asked why he would not spell out potential consequences for Iran over its behavior, the president replied, “Because I think that we don’t know yet how this thing is going to play out. I know everybody here is on a 24-hour news cycle. I’m not.”

[CtH: He was fast enough with condemning COPS, without having ANY of the facts.  What a hypocrite.]

His silence validated the mullahs, despite the blood on their hands and the nuclear centrifuges in their tunnels,” presidential hopeful Tim Pawlenty alleged last year in the race for the Republican nomination.

Anti-Regime Protests Break Out Across Iran

The crowds drilled to chant ‘death to America’ went off the script and demanded the end of the Islamic regime instead. Videos show Iranians chanting ‘Death to the dictator’ and ‘Death to Rouhani’.

President Obama, busy cementing his ‘legacy’ with a Nuclear Deal with the Iranian regime, refused to show any support for the pro-democracy movement in Iran. He even threw a lifeline the Iranian regime at a time when international sanctions were finally beginning to show results.

As columnist Eli Lake explained, writing for the Bloomberg, “Obama wasn’t just reluctant to show solidarity in 2009, he feared the demonstrations would sabotage his secret outreach to Iran.”

“Obama from the beginning of his presidency tried to turn the country’s ruling clerics from foes to friends,” Lake added.

President Obama’s Nuclear Deal allowed Iran access to assets frozen in the US to the tune of $100 billion. The Obama administration even shipped $1.7 billion in cash to the regime, described as ‘settlement of old legal claim.’

With President Trump in office, those cash payments seem to have stopped. Buoyed by the cash flow thanks to Obama-Kerry Nuclear Deal, regime overstretched itself militarily, funding and manning pro-Iranian militia in Syria, Yemen and Lebanon. Tehran even resumed aid to the Gaza-based Islamist terror outfit Hamas — Hezbollah’s estranged evil Sunni twin, patching up ties strained by Iran’s intervention in the Syrian conflict.

Iran cuts social media access as unrest turns deadly
Iran cut access to social media on Sunday in a bid to head off further protests after days of unrest that saw two people killed and dozens arrested.

The interior minister warned protesters will “pay the price” as footage on social media showed thousands marching across the country overnight in the biggest test for the Islamic republic since mass demonstrations in 2009.

#NeverTrump National Review Licked ‘the Mud Off of George W. Bush’s Boots’ While He Allowed Iraq’s Christians to Be Ethnically Cleansed
The Bush administration showed absolutely zero concern for the Christian communities of Iraq,” said Zmirak. “And we’re not talking five or six hundred people; 1.3 million Christians lived in Iraq when the Iraq War started, and they have lived there for two thousand years. They were some of the earliest Christian communities in the world. Way before there were Catholics in Rome, or before Constantinople existed, there were Christians in Iraq.”

“Seventy-five to eighty percent of [Iraq’s Christian communities] were ethnically cleansed while George Bush was president, while he was commander-in-chief, while he ruled that country as absolutely as Kim Jong-un rules North Korea. He didn’t care,” Zmirak stated

Some call Trump’s Iran protest tweets striking turnabout from Obama era

Those protesters are being buoyed by messages from the Trump administration, says the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), a coalition of democratic Iranian groups and personalities.
In two tweets earlier Saturday, President Donald Trump offered up a message of hope to the protesters: “The entire world understands that the good people of Iran want change, and, other than the vast military power of the United States, that Iran’s people are what their leaders fear the most…”

Trump added: “Oppressive regimes cannot endure forever, and the day will come when the Iranian people will face a choice. The World is watching!”

US ‘strongly condemns the arrest of peaceful protesters’ in Iran
Iran’s leaders have turned a wealthy country with a rich history and culture into an economically depleted rogue state whose chief exports are violence, bloodshed, and chaos,” the department said in a statement. “As President Trump has said, the longest-suffering victims of Iran’s leaders are Iran’s own people.”

“We urge all nations to publicly support the Iranian people and their demands for basic rights and an end to corruption,” the statement added.

CNN Caught Sharing Iranian Regime Propaganda

The Iranian regime also decided to hold their own rallies in support of the corrupt ruling class.  Protesters were bused in for the rallies.
The pro-regime protesters were carrying ‘down with Israel’ signs.  This photo was taken from Tasnim News Agency in Iran from their protest shots today.
Later today CNN reported on the rallies. CNN took their photos from the Tasnim News Agency.  They are literally spewing the pro-regime propaganda in their news reports

Supreme Leader Tweets About Jesus, But Iran is One of World’s Worst Persecutors of Christians
Iran is also one of 10 countries currently designed “countries of particular concern” under U.S. law for egregious violations of religious freedom.  Iran carries out more executions each year than any country apart from China, applying the death penalty for offenses including apostasy, insulting Mohammed and other “grand prophets,” moharebeh (enmity against Allah) and “corruption on earth.”

Just two weeks before Christmas, however, the independent Iranian Christian news agency Mohabat News reported that security forces raided six houses in Karaj, Iran’s fourth-largest city, where Christians hold house church services.

It said four converts to Christianity were arrested and that shops owned by two of the men were also raided.  Four of the Christians received ten year prison sentences, after being convicted of engaging in missionary activities and “conducting activities against national security,” Christian Solidarity Worldwide reported at the time.

“The charges and sentences against these four men are unwarranted and unjustifiable, given the paucity of the evidence against them,” said CSW chief executive Mervyn Thomas.

Iran Starts Killing Protesters, ABC Ignores While CBS and NBC Downplay

Disgustingly, the deaths didn’t trigger much air on the three major American networks. ABC’s Good Morning America had a blackout of the deaths and protests all together while NBC only found 24 seconds for them. CBS finally discovered the protests, as they continued into their fourth day, dedicating a meager 16 seconds.

Instead of allowing serious time for the brutal murders of Iranian civilians and the protests, whose marchers have been chanting “Death to Rouhani” and “We don’t want an Islamic republic,” NBC’s Sunday Today ran a four minute and 37 seconds long highlight reel of the media slamming and smearing President Trump from this past year.

More on Politico’s Hezbollah Story

Fox interviewed the author, Josh Meyer

The MSM has been ignoring or sneering at this story, despite the fact that Politico is hardly a right-wing news organization. However, the Washington Post did finally get a round tuit and their reporter’s assessment is this:

Josh Meyer’s groundbreaking investigation was rigorously reported, deeply sourced, thoroughly vetted and is of significant public interest given the national security implications. POLITICO is proud of this story and believe it captures the complexity of the decision making by the Obama administration in pursuit of a deal with Iran that it viewed as a major foreign policy achievement. It’s hardly surprising that Obama loyalists have pushed back on the overall thrust of the article.

In his months of reporting the piece, Josh conducted an exhaustive review of government documents and court records and spoke with dozens of key participants at all levels of government. It’s worth noting that the principals mentioned in the piece were given the opportunity to comment and when they declined, POLITICO interviewed numerous sources who could speak on their behalf.

Also, Josh responded himself on television [Tuesday], specifically responding to the false claim that the article is based on uncorroborated complaints from disgruntled low-level officials. “I also talked to many, many dozens of other people to get a sort of ground truth and see what their allegations were when held up to the light of day. So this is not a story in 14,000 words where I was just taking spin from some people,” he said.

The MSM may be ignoring this story, but Congress isn’t.

Rep. Ron DeSantis (R., Fla.), a member of the House Oversight Committee and chair of its National Security Subcommittee, told the Washington Free Beacon on Wednesday that he and other top lawmakers are examining evidence that could implicate top former Obama officials, including National Security Council official Ben Rhodes, the architect of the former administration’s self-described pro-Iran “echo chamber.”

“I’ve long believed that the Obama administration could not have done any more to bend over backwards to appease the Iranian regime, yet news that the Obama administration killed the investigation into a billion dollar drug ring that lined the terrorist group Hezbollah’s pockets in order to save its coveted Iran deal may very well take the cake,” DeSantis said.

“Hezbollah is a brutal terrorist group with American blood on its hands and it would be unconscionable for American policy to deliberately empower such a nefarious group,” he said.
