Democrat Media Bias: The Clothing Price Tag Edition

2008 vs 2014 Media bias - Clothing price tags

When Righties pointed out the hypocrisy of Mrs. “Shared Sacrifice” wearing such a pricey gown when Americans are suffering, Progs jumped up and bellowed that we were soooooooostooooooooooooooooooopid for being bothered that the First Lady wore a formal gown to a state dinner. Michelle Malkin did a great job smacking that down. Read it here:

Politico names Most Judged Woman in America

Politico mag calls Wendy Davis “The Most Judged Woman in America.” Dry a tear. The subhead is the most absurd part of the whole piece:

“Wendy Davis did make a mistake. She thought that we were ready for a single mother.”

Yeah, right. I’m so sure the reason we’re being all judgey about poor pitiful Wendy “I put myself through college and law school” Davis is because she was a single mother for a few years before she snagged a well-established lawyer husband to take care of the stinking kid while he paid for her B.A. and J.D. degrees.

It’s got Nothing At ALL to do with her being a rabid supporter of late-term abortion or an ungrateful lying liar who lost parental custody and was court-ordered to abstain from alcohol and drugs for 24 hours before visitations.

Maybe the Demwits at Politico don’t realize that Wendy Davis is a user, not a victim, seeing as they didn’t choose to cover the SCANDAL part of the story.

Tell you what … when I see any Democrat female getting anything remotely like the treatment the Left still dishes out to Sarah Palin, I’ll consider the possibility that our side has gone too far.

Media Bias and the New Nixon

The IRS has apologized for targeting conservative political groups during the 2012 election in order to hinder their ability to raise campaign money and support challengers to Democrat candidates.

Now it’s coming out that IRS agents were targeting Tea Party groups in 2011 as well. Color me shocked. Okay. Not so much. Certainly the Palins aren’t surprised.

You know what OTHER administration misused the power of the IRS to target political enemies?

Watergate IRS

What’s the difference? The media. Nixon was a Republican. Obama is a Democrat.

Sarah Palin reports on ShamwØw in Beantown

President Obama flew in to Boston today to deliver another “ShamWow”-style infomercial for Obamacare, and it went about as well as his entourage’s snarled traffic debacle in Beantown.

As millions of Americans are being kicked off their desired insurance plans and seeing their premiums skyrocket, the President had a lot of ‘splaining to do today. For starters we anticipated a Presidential apology for lying to Americans repeatedly when he promised things like, “If you like your current health care plan, you can keep it.” Make no mistake, he knew he was lying when he said that. And make no further mistake, after five years of false Obama claims, no one should actually expect contrition on this administration’s part.

Bloomberg reports that in June of 2010, the administration knew millions would be kicked off existing healthcare plans due to Obamacare; but President Obama continued to knowingly deceive the American people with repeated claims that if we liked our current plan we could keep it.

So, finally busted, did the President apologize? Was remorse and sympathy shown for Americans who now can’t afford health insurance thanks to Obamacare? Nope.

He instead informed us that Americans who receive cancellation notices have been on “substandard” plans supplied by “bad apple” insurers. That’s right. Obama didn’t lie to you when he said, “if you like your plan, you can keep it.” Why? Because, you sillies, you DIDN’T REALLY like the plan you chose for yourselves! No arguing.

Barack Obama knows best and he’ll tell you whether you actually liked your insurance plan or not. If you’re an elderly bachelor, your old plan was clearly “substandard” because it didn’t offer maternity care. What’s that you say? You don’t need maternity care? Well, according to the President today, he says you do, and any insurance plan that doesn’t offer it is a “junk” plan provided by a “bad apple” insurer.

But don’t worry, the President also promised that only “rich” people making $250,000 or more will see their premium costs rise. This lie is so appalling and so easily debunked that the brazenness with which he made it is simply breathtaking.

But who will hold him accountable for it? Media, you know I love you… so let me help you save your hide with the American public by suggesting you fact-check that.

Despite the Obamacare rollout disaster and the broken government website (which HHS Secretary Sebelius admitted is a “debacle” in her testimony before Congress today), the President gleefully highlighted the few people signing up for Obamacare as indicative of his socialized medicine’s “success.”

He neglected to mention that the government is forcing Americans to sign up for his program or pay fines that will increase each year we fail to do so.

For sheer chutzpah, the President closed his speech by praising America’s “rugged individualism.” Because nothing says “rugged individualism” like heavy-handed big government forcing individuals to buy a product they don’t want and arrogantly telling them they didn’t really like the product they wisely chose for themselves and could afford.

Thanks for the infomercial, Mr. President. I don’t know anyone who wants your “ShamWow” product, but the IRS will make sure we call that toll free number or go online to order it right now…. well, just as soon as your impossibly broken $600 million website is fixed and your phones lines aren’t busy.

Happy with this, America? Make your voices heard. 2014 is just around the corner.

– Sarah Palin

P.S. Take a look at this article by Fox’s Eric Bolling:

http://nation.foxnews.com/2013/10/30/eric-bolling-why-healthcaregov-website-failure-mattersbig-time

As Eric asks, “If they can’t get a basic website up and running in three years… How on God’s green Earth are they going to administer health care to 300 million Americans? So, with billions upon billions of health related communications clearing through the government medicine portal annually, our very health will be hanging in the balance…Therefore, you must conclude: The Obama administration has our lives in their hands…Ask yourself… Do you trust President Obama, Valerie Jarrett, Kathleen Sebelius and Jay Carney with your life? I certainly do not!”

CtH: The comment I posted at Palin’s faebook … I read some judgmental ignoramus talking about how “compassionate” Obamacare is and how anyone who opposes it shouldn’t be called a Christian. ARGH.

Dh has not been able to afford health insurance since he chose to become self-employed. He provides a valuable service to the community at an affordable price … a price that firms big enough to include health insurance can’t do for what he charges.

The REASON we can’t afford a policy for him is that BC/BS has a monopoly in NYS. We are not ALLOWED to shop around and the policies here have been at the astronomical O’care prices for years and years.

So now that we have been “blessed” with the “Affordable” Care Act’s “compassion”, dh STILL can’t afford a health insurance policy, but now he’s going to be FINED by the IRS for not having one.

Dh was one of the people Obamacare was SUPPOSEDLY DESIGNED TO HELP. But it’s only made his situation WORSE. So excuse me if I don’t appreciate having the quality of my faith and compassion JUDGED because I think Obamacare SUCKS.

What we wanted was one of the half-dozen plans the Republicans put forward … those plans Democrats accused Republicans of not having … those plans the Democrat majority refused to discuss, debate or bring to a vote.

Those plans would have eliminated the NYS monopoly and allowed us to shop for an affordable, individual, catastrophic insurance plan in other states. These plans would have allowed individuals to claim the same tax deductions on health insurance premiums that employers got, making self-insurance more affordable.

Those two changes alone would’ve made an enormous difference to the people O’care CLAIMED to be about helping … the people like my husband who fell into the gap between “too rich for Medicaid, too poor for insurance.”

The shamefulness of “Barrycades”

2013_10 01 WWII memorial barrycaded

The National Park Service confirmed that they had been INSTRUCTED TO CLOSE OFF ACCESS to the open-air, ordinarily unmanned World War II Memorial on the Washington Mall and POST GUARDS to prevent an expected group of World War II veterans from visiting the monument and laying their wreath. Many of the veterans are in their eighties and nineties.

2013_10 01 WWII vets storm the memorial

Ten other states are expected to bring veterans to the nation’s capitol this week. Honor Flight organizers said that planning for each once-in-a-lifetime veterans tour takes months to organize and tens of thousands of dollars in donations. They have no intention of abiding by this ridiculous restriction.

I heard that Obama threatened to have anyone trying to enter the World War II Memorial area ARRESTED and one site reported that seven officials were dispatched Wednesday morning to keep vets out. That would be two more security officials than the State Department had in Benghazi a year ago on the night of the terrorist attack that killed four, including the U.S. ambassador.

But the latest word is that the park police have decided to call visiting the memorial a “First Amendment” activity. ::snort:: Good save, guys. The White House declined to comment, leaving the flunkies on the front lines to take all the heat … AS USUAL.

How totally petty and political was the “Barrycading” of the WWII Memorial? Check out what they put up at the World War I Memorial. Anybody can walk in there cuz you know … those vets  are all DEAD. Democrats only care about pissing on LIVING veterans.

2013_10 01 WWI Memorial

Sarah Palin posted: “The President is treating our veterans the same way he treated school kids when he cancelled their White House tours. When times called for obvious government belt-tightening, he took it out on kids rather than look for anything that would affect him personally.

And while our vets are barricaded from the memorial they built with their heroism, the government “slim down” won’t affect Obama’s golf game or his family’s White House chefs.

Meanwhile, Republicans in Congress are attempting to fund the Veterans Administration and other essential functions, but Democrats are blocking them because they want to make any slim down look as awful as possible in order to deflect from what this whole slim down thing is about, which is their Obamacare train wreck.

Good Congressmen are fighting for average middle class Americans to get the same breaks that Obama gave Congress, his pals, union bosses, and crony corporations who financed his campaign and snookered the media into putting him in office.

It is a sad day when We the People have to go cap in hand to the president begging him to give us the same relief he gave his friends by fiat. Thank God we have bold leaders willing to fight for those who can’t afford to pay powerful lobbyists to make Obama and Harry Reid listen.”

Wishing I’d been wrong

Risk war over his ego

“Risk war over ego” … I remember in 2008 saying I believed Obama was so arrogant and thin-skinned that he’d do this. It was the thing that scared me most about having him in the White House. I’ve often been proven wrong. Kinda wish this was one of those times. Ditto how bad I thought ObamaCare would be …

Øbama’s Syria Plan

2013_08 30 Our Syria Plan

“So we’re bombing Syria because Syria is bombing Syria? And I’m the idiot?” – Sarah Palin

* President Obama wants America involved in Syria’s civil war pitting the antagonistic Assad regime against equally antagonistic Al Qaeda affiliated rebels. But he’s not quite sure which side is doing what, what the ultimate end game is, or even whose side we should be on. Haven’t we learned? WAGs don’t work in war. [CtH: WAGs = Wild Ass Guesses.]

* We didn’t intervene when over 100,000 Syrians were tragically slaughtered by various means, but we’ll now intervene to avenge the tragic deaths of over 1,000 Syrians killed by chemical weapons, though according to the White House we’re not actually planning to take out the chemical weapons because doing so would require “too much of a commitment.”

* President Obama wants to do what, exactly? Punish evil acts in the form of a telegraphed air strike on Syria to serve as a deterrent? If our invasion of Iraq wasn’t enough of a deterrent to stop evil men from using chemical weapons on their own people, why do we think this will be?

* The world sympathizes with the plight of civilians tragically caught in the crossfire of this internal conflict. But President Obama’s advertised war plan (which has given Assad enough of a heads-up that he’s reportedly already placing human shields at targeted sites) isn’t about protecting civilians, and it’s not been explained how lobbing U.S. missiles at Syria will help Syrian civilians. Do we really think our actions help either side or stop them from hurting more civilians?

* We have no clear mission in Syria. There’s no explanation of what vital American interests are at stake there today amidst yet another centuries-old internal struggle between violent radical Islamists and a murderous dictatorial regime, and we have no business getting involved anywhere without one. And where’s the legal consent of the people’s representatives? Our allies in Britain have already spoken. They just said no. The American people overwhelmingly agree, and the wisdom of the people must be heeded.

* Our Nobel Peace Prize winning President needs to seek Congressional approval before taking us to war. It’s nonsense to argue that, “Well, Bush did it.” Bull. President Bush received support from both Congress and a coalition of our allies for “his wars,” ironically the same wars Obama says he vehemently opposed because of lack of proof of America’s vital interests being at stake.

* Bottom line is that this is about President Obama saving political face because of his “red line” promise regarding chemical weapons.

* As I said before, if we are dangerously uncertain of the outcome and are led into war by a Commander-in-chief who can’t recognize that this conflict is pitting Islamic extremists against an authoritarian regime with both sides shouting “Allah Akbar” at each other, then let Allah sort it out.

Lapdogs for Obama

Because of the absurdly left-wing bias of the Lamestream Media, Republicans like George Bush and Sarah Palin were mocked endlessly for things they NEVER SAID, while Democrats like Barack Obama get their most idiotic statements ignored or fixed for them.

  • What did George Bush never say? “Mission Accomplished.” Those words were on a sign behind him when he made a cautious speech about the future of the war in Iraq. The sign was put up to celebrate the ship’s return from a six month deployment.
  • What did Sarah Palin never say? “I can see Russia from my house.” Those words were part of a Tina Fey comedy skit on Saturday Night Live.

This week, AP inserted the words “(and in)” when quoting this statement made by President Obama:

“If we don’t deepen our ports all along the Gulf – (and in) places like Charleston, S.C., or Savannah, Ga., or Jacksonville, Fla. – if we don’t do that, these ships are going to go someplace else and we’ll lose jobs,” Obama said.

Charleston, Savannah and Jacksonville are not Gulf ports.
