Protecting Our First Amendment Rights

On January 26, 2021 – six days after Joe Biden was inaugurated – eight FBI and other law enforcement agents showed up at Douglass Mackey’s home and arrested him. He was charged with felony election interference, a crime that could have put him in prison for up to ten years.

But the alleged election interference had not involved the recent Biden vs. Trump election, but rather the Clinton vs. Trump election more than four years earlier. In fact, the memes (sample above) that Mackey was being charged over had appeared on the internet nearly five years before the arrest.

Despite living in Florida, Mackey was prosecuted and convicted in the Eastern District of New York before two liberal judges. In October, he was fined $15,000 and sentenced to seven months in federal prison to be followed by two years probation.

This politically-motivated persecution of an American citizen abused 18 USC 241, known as the Ku Klux Klan Act, a law which was passed in the aftermath of the Civil War to stop violent deprivations of civil rights. The law was used to prosecute some of the most infamous crimes that were part of the backlash to the 1960s civil rights movement. The Biden Justice Department is now using it to punish people – including Donald J. Trump and various pro-life activists – for disagreeing with Democrats.

Mackey just won an important victory in his appeal, which put a stay on the scheduled start of his prison sentence in January. Connecticut-based federal District Court Judge Omar A. Williams also ordered that the appeal, which he said presents “substantial” and “debatable” issues of law, be expedited.

If Mackey ultimately loses the appeal in the Second Circuit, he intends to take his case to the U.S. Supreme Court. This case is being used by the corruptocrats as a trial balloon. It is vital that Mackey win. You can donate to his defense fund @ https://www.memedefensefund.com/.

CATHOLICS: CLICK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9LJ-S0Rens [5:22] to hear Matt Fradd (Pints with Aquinas) talk about why Sedevacantism has to be false. He also discusses what schism is and how we can obey our call to submit to the pope when we don’t agree with what he is doing and saying.

JACK CHICK: The Catholic Church founded Islam, Nazism, Mormonism, and Communism?! Who knew?! Jack Chick, utterly uneducated fundamentalist cartoonist, that’s who. Sadly, his sick, hate-filled Chick Tracts are still in print.

Among other things, these foul publications purport to “prove” that the Sacraments are ineffective, that the Pope is an antichrist, that Jesuits run around the world fomenting wars, that the Vatican is bent on world domination, that the Holy Eucharist is based on Egyptian worship of Osiris, that Mary is the Masonic Isis, and that Jesus hates the Catholic Church, which He calls the “Mother of Abomination.

I first encounter Chick Tracts in college when a neighbor approached me with one that his mother had given him. He was in love with a Catholic girl; his anti-Catholic mother was appalled and wanted to save him from falling into popery and damnation. The tract said things that, if true, would have meant that no Christian could ever be Catholic. Thankfully, the arguments were ones I had no trouble rebutting on the spot.

MEDIA: The undeclared PR arm of the Democratic Party wants American voters to be afraid! Fear COVID! Fear CLIMATE CHANGE! Fear TRUMP! This week, the Washington Post, New York Times, and the Atlantic were all running hot and heavy on the theme of TRUMP WILL BE A DICTATOR!!!

A Trump dictatorship is increasingly inevitable. We should stop pretending.” “The Fear of a Looming Trump Dictatorship.” “A Second Trump Presidency May be More Radical Than His First.” “He could want a third term!” “Grave and extreme consequences.” “Trump and Trumpism pose an existential threat to America and to the ideas that animate it.” “The Danger Ahead.” “If he wins the election, Trump will commit the first crime of his second term at noon on Inauguration Day: His oath to defend the Constitution of the United States will be a perjury.”

PHILIPPINES: The Islamic State has claimed responsibility for Sunday’s bombing during a Catholic Mass in Marawi that injured at least 54 and killed four.

TRUMP: New York’s Trump-hating Attorney General Letitia James is busy ignoring actual crimes in order to satisfy her campaign promise to take Trump down. Her case is the first ever brought in New York in which a borrower is being sued for fraud when no one is claiming actual harm. The state is seeking a $250 million fine against Trump, and wants him to be forced to give up control of his businesses.

A Deutsche Bank AG executive told a court in New York on Tuesday that it is not unusual for loan clients to overstate their net worth, and that the bank does its own due diligence in determining eligibility for loans. Another executive testified that the bank had benefited from its business relationship with Trump and had wanted to continue that relationship.

CLIMATE WARRIORS: The New York Slime is tooting the horns of a posh couple whose 6,000 square foot vacation home on Cape Cod is a model of cutting-edge green technologies. COAL: FAUXTUS’ climate czar, John Kerry, announced “we” have “proudly” committed to not build any new coal-fired power plants and to get rid of existing ones entirely. While no specific date was given for when the Biden administration plans to nix existing U.S. coal plants, other regulatory actions by the administration zero in on 2035 as the year when coal ends. Just below 20 percent of U.S. electricity was powered by coal as of October.

FBI: The weaponization of our justice system continues. On his way home from the premiere of the Daily Wire’s new “transphobic” comedy, “Lady Ballers,” Siaka Massaquoi was accosted by FBI agents who arrested and charged with four misdemeanors for his actions way back on January 6, 2021. Siaka, who has a part in “Lady Ballers”, will be familiar to PoliNationers as the husband in the Babylon Bee video series about a California couple who moves to Texas.

On June 10, 2021, Siaka’s apartment was raided by over 20 FBI agents armed with assault rifles. He has allegedly been under investigation ever since for “associating with members of a social media group.” Besides these heinous crimes, he is reported also vice-chair of the Republican Party of Los Angeles. I’m guessing his real crime is participating in the Daily Wire movie. CLICK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Py2MzGtmaJ0 [2:54] to see the trailer. 2A: Last year, Oregon voters passed ballot measure 114, which would have required Oregon citizens to acquire a permit before purchasing a gun and restricted magazines to 10 rounds or fewer. A Circuit Court judge just ruled that these measures violate both the state’s and the nation’s constitutions.

BIDENOMICS: A recent CNBC survey found that 61% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. The White House said the U.S. economy is the strongest it has ever been. Voters don’t agree. An October poll by Quinnipiac found only 37% approve of Biden’s economic performance.

An October poll by AP-NORC found about 8 in 10 Americans saying their overall household debt is higher or about the same as it was a year ago, while only 15% said their household savings had increased over the past year.

CANADA: CLICK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cvAApI8-DKU [2:57] to hear Fr. Mark talk about the new report from Statistics Canada. Below are some highlights from the data:

In 2019, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the age-standardized mortality rate in Canada was 830.5 deaths per 100,000 population. In 2021, this jumped to 907.2 deaths. In 2022, it jumped again to 972.5 deaths.

Despite the alleged effectiveness of the ‘rona jabs, the number of COVID-19 deaths increased from 14,466 in 2021 to 19,716 in 2022. The report blamed this on “exposure to new highly transmissible COVID-19 variants and the gradual return to normalcy (e.g., reduced restrictions and masking requirements).

However, these new variants are far, far less lethal than the original and early variants that circulated in 2020. Also, numerous studies have shown that lockdowns, masks, and other restrictions had little effect on transmission or death rates. In fact, some studies showed that the people who were most likely to get very sick from COVID were the home-bound and the masked.

FOOD INSECURITY: CLICK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=es614SrcbhI [6:09] to hear a reality check about welfare and hunger in the United States. The comments about poor people and healthy eating strike a chord with me. After Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait, the bottom fell out of the building industry. Predictably, since architects are at the front end of the process, our family was hit early and hard. I am very grateful for the emergency help we received courtesy of taxpayers and charitable friends, relatives, and total strangers. All five of us had widespread food allergies, so I was always looking for whatever nutritional advice I could find. The WIC people offered free consultations with a certified nutritionist who told me, “It’s so nice to finally work with someone who wants my help. Hardly any of the women who get these WIC checks care about their own families eating healthy. They swagger in here in their designer boots and are like, ‘shut up and give me the money.‘”

JUSSIE SMOLLETT: An Illinois appellate court upheld Smollett’s conviction for lying to the cops and ordered him to complete his 150-day jail sentence. So far, he’s only spent six days behind bars. NATURAL IMMUNITY: A study entitled “Risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection and hospitalization in individuals with natural, vaccine-induced and hybrid immunity: a retrospective population-based cohort study from Estonia” was published on November 21, 2023, in the peer-reviewed journal, Scientific Reports. The study analyzed infection and hospitalization data for Delta and Omicron from 246,113 individuals matched for demographic and clinical characteristics and sorted into categories for no immunity, natural immunity (infected/recovered), vaccine only, and vaccine plus natural. One big finding was that natural immunity conferred substantial protection against hospitalization for both the Delta and Omicron variants.

ABORTION: This is not satire. “The Samuel Alito’s Mom’s Satanic Abortion Clinic” exists. It provides “free religious telehealth medication abortion care, courtesy of The Satanic Temple.” Cosmopolitan magazine is promoting the Satanic abortion clinic and the Satanic Abortion Ritual. The ritual invokes the following tenets of Satanism: That one’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone and that beliefs should conform to one’s best scientific understanding of the world. Its Personal Affirmation (i.e., prayer) is “By my body, my blood. By my will, it is done.”

BIDENOMICS: According to a new report, the typical American household needs roughly an additional $11,400 just to maintain the lifestyle they enjoyed under Trump.

CANADA: Carolyn Burjoski has won the chance to continue with her defamation case against the Waterloo Regional District School Board (WRDSB). Last year, after she spoke out at a school board meeting against pro-LGBT books being available to young students at school libraries, she was silenced and publicly accosted. The judge said in his decision to allow the case to continue, “The Human Rights Code does not prohibit public discussion of issues related to transgenderism or minors and transgenderism. It does not prohibit public discussion of anything.” In addition to allowing the case to proceed, the judge ordered the school board to pay $30,000 of Burjoski’s legal fees.

CATHOLIC: On Monday, Bishop Strickland issued an open letter to the faithful regarding his removal as Bishop of the Diocese of Tyler, Texas. Things that stand out for me are that, despite multiple requests, he has yet to be given a copy of the reasons why he was fired. He says that, when the reasons were verbally spoken to him, none of them included the administrative problems or mismanagement of the diocese that have been claimed. Instead, they were all about him defending the traditional doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church which the current pope and his Synod on Synodality threaten. In particular, he refused to cancel Latin Masses in his dioceses, as the pontiff demanded, because that “would have required me to leave part of my flock unfed and untended.  As a shepherd and protector of my Diocese, I could not take actions which I knew with certainty would injure part of my flock and deprive them of the spiritual goods which Christ entrusted to His Church.  I stand by my actions as they were necessary to protect my flock and to defend the Sacred Deposit of Faith.”

ITALY: On Saturday, November 25, the Rome headquarters of the pro-life and pro-family group Pro Vita e Famiglia was attacked by protesters who sprayed graffiti, smashed windows, lit fires, and even planted a homemade bomb inside the building. Italy’s President Meloni wrote, “I don’t know how anyone thinks of fighting violence against women by making themselves the protagonists of intolerable acts of violence and intimidation such as those that occurred on Saturday against the Pro Life and Family Association.”

VAXXX: A paper entitled “Adverse Events Following Immunization With mRNA and Viral Vector Vaccines in Individuals With Previous Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 Infection From the Canadian National Vaccine Safety Network” was published in Clinical Infectious Diseases on March 15, 2023. In it, Canadian researchers reported on the large, prospective observational study they did to assess the short-term safety of COVID-19 vaccines in adults with a previous history of SARS-CoV-2 infection.

Among the 684,998 participants, 18,127 individuals (2.6 percent) reported previous laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 infection two to six months before receiving their first vaccine dose. According to the study, these people were more likely to experience an adverse event the week following vaccination—regardless of the vaccine type—that interfered with daily activities, school, and work or required emergency department visits or hospitalization. The greatest risk was associated with the first dose, with weaker risk for second and third doses.

FAUXTUS: God has a sense of humor.

GOOGLE MAPS: Google Maps removed directions to a Washington, D.C. pro-life pregnancy center and instead offered users directions to a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic, two different doula locations, and a pro-life pregnancy center across the river in Maryland. When the issue was pointed out to them by The Daily Signal, they oopsied and put Capitol Hill Crisis Pregnancy Center back in.

MASKS: A peer-reviewed study entitled “Association between Face mask use and Risk of SARS-CoV-2 Infection – Cross-sectional study” was published in Epidemiology and Infection on Nov. 13, 2023. It reported on an analysis of mask use among 3,209 individuals from Norway. After adjusting for factors such as age, vaccination status, use of public transportation, etc., the study also found that mask wearers had a 33% to 40% higher incidence of COVID-19 compared to those who never or almost never wore masks. The researchers cautioned against making too much of the results, since there were many factors they did not consider, such as people who wore masks because of their profession.

NEW YUCK CITY: A total of 2,516 NYPD cops have left so far this year, the fourth highest number in the past decade. Meanwhile, crime is up 30% and Mayor Adams has decided to save money by canceling the next five police academy classes. Police Benevolent Association president, Patrick Hendry, said, “Our police officers are being worked to exhaustion, and 911 response times are already rising. What is going to happen when no reinforcements arrive for months on end?

POPE FRANCIS: Two Vatican insiders leaked to the AP that Pope Francis has decided to punish conservative American Cardinal Raymond Burke (75) for being a source of “disunity” within the church. Burke had not received notification of measures being taken against him which reportedly will include revoking his salary and tossing him out of his apartment at the Vatican.

UNITED METHODISM: The United Methodist Churches in the United States have had 24.3% of its affiliate churches withdraw from the denomination over its embrace of LGBTQ ideology. Until recently, churches that met the requirements were allowed to disaffiliate with their property intact. But it sounds like the PTBs are sick of losing all that money. The latest batch of requests were denied, despite meeting all the many requirements. The congregations can go worship where they like, but the U.M.C. is keeping their property. The Institute on Religion and Democracy says, “In the future, United Methodism will increasingly rely on closing and selling churches for income even as it loses millions of members.”

VIRGINIA: A former Prince William County registrar, Michele White, has been charged with altering 2020 election results in the Virginia Election and Registration Information System [VERIS], so that the system reported false election results. Joe Biden allegedly received 54% of the county vote vs. Trump’s alleged 44%. White’s trial is due to begin on Jan. 16, 2024.

CHOOSE: At the end of The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis, every soul presents itself to Aslan and either chooses or rejects Him. Every soul, that is, but the group of dwarfs who refuse to choose, because “the dwarfs is for the dwarfs.” Yet in refusing to choose, they have chosen, for there are only two choices. God or Not God. And Satan rules the latter. For more thoughts on this, click the link.

DISNEY: In the latest episode of “Get Woke! Go Broke!”, the fools making Walt roll in his grave just managed to open a new animated flop on a five-day holiday week-end. Ten years ago, “Frozen” set box-office records. Last week, “Wish” came in third place, with an abysmal $31.7 million take. Between production and advertising, Disney spent $400 million on it. I googled “Disney Wish” to look for a graphic and was surprised to find that the movie did not appear in row after row after row after row of graphics. They were all about Disney Wish cruises.

Joel Abbott’s review says, “This movie plays on the ‘when you wish upon a star’ theme that Disney loves. It’s about a girl, Asha (meaning ‘wish, hope, desire’), who is invited to apprentice under a magic king who grants wishes to his people. The king creates order, law, stability, and peace. But then Asha learns that the king only grants the most important wishes, which seems unfair — why would an all-powerful king who claims to love all his people withhold his power and mercy from some of his citizens? She wonders, is this even a good king?

(Do you see where this is going?)

We see snippets of the king’s vanity. The people around him adore him, even worship him. He is their Father God, but Asha has discovered that he is actually a villain.

Instead, Asha will have to flee society — that ordered realm of the god-king, and reconnect with Gaia, Mother Earth, that cosmic force that will grant her the power to become her own goddess with literal star power. With this power, she will return to overthrow the patriarch king and free the people from the shackles of his rules in order to end oppression and grant everyone’s desires.

FOLLOW THE SCIENCE MONEY: Something to keep in mind when researching divisive, hot button issues like abortion and COVID-19. The so-called experts are more than happy to lie if it serves their political agenda.

Until very recently, ACOG’s “Guide to Language and Abortion” contained the following legal and viological nonsense: “A fetal heartbeat exists only after the chambers of the heart have developed and can be detected via ultrasound, which typically occurs around 17 to 20 weeks’ gestation. … What pregnant [women] may hear is the ultrasound machine translating electronic impulses that signify fetal cardiac activity.

This bit of nonsense has been used repeatedly in court cases sponsored by Planned Parenthood to try and strike down so-called “heartbeat” laws. Not only are “heartbeat” and “cardiac activity” legally synonymous, but also it is common knowledge that the 4 chambers of the heart are formed by the end of week 7.

RINO: Mitt Romney says he would rather vote for a Democrat than for Trump or Vivek Ramaswamy. He says that, in 2020, he voted for his wife Ann rather than cast his ballot for Trump. Hmm … I seem to remember him asking Trump for a job in his administration and being turned down. Sour grapes much?

VAXXX: In Australia, 97.53% of all individuals aged 16 and above have gotten at least one ‘rona jab. Since the nation’s draconian vaxxx mandates went into effect, there has been a surge in the number of cardiac arrests. In Victoria, Australia, the rate increased by 2.5% from 2020 to 2021, then from 2021 to 2022, went up by 5.8%. Both years marked record historical highs. Heart damage is a known side effect of the vaxxx.

GRAMMY NOTES: This makes me feel really old. I got a handful of pennies once. If T.F. Mom was feeling especially flush, it was a whole quarter which, given that I only got a dime per pair for polishing shoes before Mass, was a real bonanza!

CATHOLIC: Sins are things that offend God. Sins of commission are wrongs that we choose to do, while sins of omission are the good things we ought to do t hat we choose not to do. In order to be guilty of a sin, we must know at some level that what we are choosing to do or not do is an offense against God. However, ignorance of the law is not an excuse, since our consciences often tell us that something is wrong even if we don’t know exactly why it is wrong.

ISRAEL: In 135 CE, in an attempt to erase the association between Israel and the Jewish people, the Roman Empire changed its name to “Palestine” (land of the Philistines). In the Old Testament, the Philistines were among the tribes that fought with the Jews over the Holy Land; Goliath was a Philistine. To make the Roman moniker even more offensive, the Philistines had ceased to exist half a millennium before 135 CE.

However, the use of the name “Palestine” continued to be used long after the Roman Empire fell, but it only ever referred to a geographical region, never to a nation or a group of people. Interestingly, while the name “Israel” appears in the Qur’an, the Muslim name – “Filastin” – does not.

During the first half of the 20th century, “Palestine” referred to Jews living in the area, as well as their institutions. In 1937, a local Arab leader told the Palestine Royal Commission, “There is no such country [as Palestine]. Palestine is a term the Zionists invented! Our country for centuries was part of Syria.”

The so-called Palestinian national movement came only after the 1967 Six-Day War, when Israel won control of Judea and Samaria from Jordan. Since then, just like with CRT, the Arabs that used to scorn the name have rewritten history to claim they are the true descendants of the Philistines.

POPE FRANCIS: On October 23, 2023, the Vatican sent a letter to the German bishops stating, unequivocally, that “the Church has no authority whatsoever to ordain women to the priesthood, and that all the faithful of the Church must definitively abide by this decision.” Period. End of discussion. Any attempt to ordain a woman will bring on automatic excommunication. In addition, the letter reiterates that it has always been and will always be the “constant teaching of the Church” that sexual acts between persons of the same sex are immoral.

COMMUNITY NOTES: Under Elon, X allows users to post additional context directly to a post, rather than in a comment most people will never see. For Thanksgiving, PETA posted the cartoon above with “We’re lucky turkeys would never do this to us—you don’t have to do it to them, either.” Community Notes helpfully informed us that not only are turkeys omnivorous who will eat mice and lizards if they can get them, but even worse, they will cannibalize themselves and other turkeys both in captivity and in the wild.

Some guy posted, “You really thought you done something with this didn’t you” with lots of laughing emojis. PETA replied, “Yep” and showed their post had received 30 million views. But right next to the 30M, it showed that only 10K had give it a heart, which is the very definition of “ratioed” – i.e., a post that has gotten a lot of views because it is so bad. LOL

But my personal favorite comment was this: “Turkeys pray before their meal. You could learn from them, you atheist scum.” ROFL

ISRAEL vs. HAMAS: On Friday morning, Israel and Hamas began a four-day ceasefire and exchange of hostages and prisoners. Israel’s military agreed to temporarily stop its airstrikes and ground invasion of Gaza. Hamas agreed to release dozens of hostages as Israel releases Palestinian prisoners.

TEMU: After I posted my PSA about avoiding this ChiCom nightmare, my cousin texted me, “I bought from Temu once (did not give them my phone number) and yes, their stuff was so poor I gave it away. But they would then send me messages for months saying, ‘Thank you for your order of $$$’ when I had not purchased anything from them. But this practice of theirs caused me to check my credit card and go to their website to view my cart which they loaded with stuff, but they did not check out or charge. They bombarded me with ads for a long time. I have successfully detached myself from them and warn everybody I know of their deceptive practices.

GRAMMY NOTES: A while back, Buzz dumped out both of these jigsaws into a pile on the floor. Mama decided today was a good day to sort the pieces and assemble the puzzles. Dearest and I did a 600 piece puzzle on Thanksgiving. It was such a fun and relaxing time, I am already shopping for a new one to do on Christmas.
