Here’s a little quiz.
A man says he hates you. He says it often, publishes it in the paper, carries signs about it up and down in front of your house and work place. He spits at you and throws things at your property. He volunteers at your kids’ school so he can tell them all the ways you are a horrible, evil human being.
One day, this man comes up to you and says, “I want to burn your house down, but I don’t have enough money for kerosene and matches. Give me some money.”
You respond by:
a) calling the cops
b) handing him $50
If you answered a, you might be a Republican.
But if you answered b, you probably are a Democrat.

Good morning everyone! Today’s my last chance for killing a bill in the Montana legislature – odds are not in my favor. I would appreciate any good thoughts or prayers you might have left after the important things.
Have a good day!

Has anyone checked out the new Hillbuzz site? Looks like the over moderation is still in place. Not good news if he wants traffic for his ads. And boy, are there ADS !

And don’t you love the way he tells advertisers that if they buy space on his site, their ad will be seen by “10,000 educated, affluent Hillbuzzers every day”? Does he really get 10,000 hits every day? And how does he know the educational and financial status of all the people who visit his site?

I think advertisers will use a stat counter like Alexa before they invest in ads……these stats don’t look like $$$ to me. Though he’s had quite a bounce this week:

He’ll lose that if he keeps his commentors in moderation hell. He’s added a “report” button, so let his readers moderate.

TEN thousand? Reallllly. When I had admin status over there, I saw the stats fer real. The average when I began early last year was 14,000. It rose to 18,000 before I left.
I can easily believe he has 10K now … lots of his readers never looked at the comments. Nor do I at any of the places I go besides here. And the people he alienated were mostly the community regulars and people who followed our comments.
I find it very interesting, however, that he’s bragging on 10K number now. I once mentioned in a comment at HB that we had 18,000 average readers and he made me take it out, saying we should never mention our numbers except for big milestones like “11 million total hits.”
According to him, 18,000 is pretty small potatoes in the Big World of Blogs and he didn’t want me to give the Left any ammo to use against him.

The Alexa link he’s using has already dropped him 20,000 places in traffic from what he’s claiming in his ad info.
Maybe they’re still tweaking it, but it takes forever to load. Advertisers aren’t going to like that 😉

Two thoughts … The kids told me they knew soldiers who would not be able to feed their families if their paychecks stopped.
Also, back at HB when I did that Class v Crass about her pathetic little “support military families” effort, a soldier said in comments, “Please, we prefer she stays away!”
Okay, three thoughts. I have always thought MEchelle’s lack of enthusiasm and follow through on her “top priority” issue, then her big shift to childhood obesity had more to do with the liberal media than anything.
Like they’d feature her on their covers for making nice to Army wives? I don’t think so. But MEchelle with apple made Newsweek’s cover. And she got lots of stroking on talk shows that can’t like anybody in a uniform, apart from maybe firemen.
Now, though, the Left is cursed with a Nobel Peace Prize for Not Being George Bush President who promised to close Gitmo, end military tribunals for terrorists, and get us out of Iraq by … oh wait, wasn’t that like “absolutely last day” sometime LAST YEAR?
And now … Gitmo’s open, tribunals are back and and we’re not only NOT out of Iraq, but we’re IN a third war. Call me jaded, but I can’t help thinking this suddenly renewed interest in military family support is more of the same ol’ same ol’ political hot air from this windy administration.
Bush and Cheney honestly cared about the military whether it made them popular or not. They visited war zones to learn and visited wounded soldiers without cameras. Remember when Campaign Obama was scheduled to go visit a military hospital, then canceled at the last minute when they wouldn’t let his “people” (cameras) inside with him?
One of my kids met Bush and was totally whelmed down to her patent leather pumps at the sincere and humble way he thanked her for her service. I cherish the photos and often call the mind the stories she told of that day at the White House.
Another one of my kids was chosen to represent our state when Hillary visited Iraq, but high winds prevented La Clinton from arriving, so said kid had lunch with one of the Big Mucky Muck COs, a man with lots of shiny stuff on his uniform who, much later, saw her and called her by name in front of her peers and impressed the HECK out of them LOL.
Then there’s BHO, who couldn’t remember the name of the dead soldier whose bracelet he wore on his wrist (against the Gold Star Parents’ stated wishes), and bragged about the lady who was going to be buried in an Obama t-shirt, except he couldn’t remember HER name either.
Hmm … maybe they named the dog BO so he would be able to remember it.

Pete, I could have done without the news that Trump says he will run as an Indie if he doesn’t get the GOP nomination. But it is best to be prepared so I guess it is something I needed to know. I have been demoralized and disappointed in so many over the last few weeks that I don’t think I am willing to give any politician the benefit of the doubt right now.
