What I observe is most of our favorite conservative blogs and news sites are NOT talking about this. They are avoiding it. Take a notice. You will be surprised. Makes me sick. But has enlightened me as to where many are really coming from. Oh, of course they will start talking about when they get their cue from the the Establishment Conservatives which usually comes just before MSM goes with the story.

I am so glad I gave up teaching before it all got so out of hand. I hated being forced into the NEA, knowing full well I did not have any say in how they used my money. As soon as I resigned to stay home and raise my own kids, I took all of my money out of the teachers retirement system and we bought a much needed dining room set. All these years I have had something to show for my hard work instead of seeing it being stolen by the NEA.

I’m so thankful I finished high school in 1968,before the union took hold.(The American Education Association unionized in 1964.)
The science teacher my junior year was a man named Lamont Clikeman.One day a car pulled into our farm and Mr. Clikeman got out.When I saw him,I nearly peed my pants.Back then when a teacher made a home visit,you were in deep doo-doo.Turned out my grandma and Mr. Clikeman grew up together in Pecatonica,a town of about 450 people and knew each other for years.
Nowadays teachers don’t make home visits because either they don’t care or its too dangerous to go where some of these kids live.

A few years ago, a woman showed up on my porch asking if I was Chrissy ____ who had gone to elementary school at ______? Yes.
“I was your first grade teacher.”
“Miss Smith?! Wow!”
Turns out, we were her first class ever. She had kept a scrapbook about us and had just retired and moved to a house very near mine.
My maiden name is hyphenated with Dearest’s, so when she heard it, she thought she’d drop by in case I was “that” Chrissy.
I have so many wonderful memories of that year! It was such a joy to reminisce with her and learn she had thought we were pretty darned special too. 🙂

i wish I had some faith that Newt could win. He really knows how to summarize and put things into prospective. But he has so many in his own party working against him, Pres. Newt just won’t happen. But I do hope he stays in as long as possible. As long as his message is hitting home, the tea party agenda will not be marginalized on the GOP platform at the convention.

Newt burned a lot of bridges when he left the House.As far as his work as a lobbyist,a LOT of pols become lobbyists when they retire or are voted out.Why is it people spend millions and millions of dollars to get elected to a job that pays $170,000 per year?For the power and perks,of course.They all do it,but they see it as a way to marginalize Newt to distract from his message.You don’t make waves in DC or you pay a price.

On government assistant? Can’t vote. Conflict of interest. That is my stance. If you choose to be supported by tax dollars, NO VOTE. So the upside of flunking the drug test is you get to vote!.
As to drug testing. Being on welfare is a job. You get a paycheck for staying out of the workforce and finding other things to do during the day. All my children, any job they have applied to in the last four years has required a drug test. Also, random testing is in place at their jobs.

When I was doing medicaid transport I picked up many people who lived in public housing.A lot of them told me the first of the month when welfare checks came,drug dealers would go door to door peddling their weed and crack.A week later people were asking for a few dollars to get some food.It was heartbreaking and maddening at the same time.

Remember how he had to keep looking at his notes to quote bible scripture when he finally went to the national day of prayer, but stated the moslem call to prayer was one of the sweetest sounds?
I wish I could find the video but it has been washed from the internet. I saw an al jazeera video on youtube when barry took his pilgrimage to pay homage to his heritage on his first trip as president. He was walking into one of their most famous mosques, and the look on Barry’s face said it all. He was so overcome with emotion, I thought he was going to cry. Mr Cool, who never shows any emotion, was moved by the site of this moslem mosque, built on a Christian holy site.
Would love to see that video again.

The democrats are trying to break up 6 republican districts.My congressman,Don Manzullo has been our congresscritter for 20 years.I get his newsletter and he’s a steady conservative although a back-bencher who doesn’t do much to make waves.I don’t know a lot about Adam Kinzinger who is from southwest Chicago other than he was backed by the Tea Party.I still haven’t decided.
The other race they cite is between Jesse Jr. and Debbie Halvorsen,another leftist wacko.This could get ugly.

I hope halverson and jjj eat each other alive. They are both criminals. Who knows, people might even see past it and vote for a republican. Jackson should be sitting in jail along his buddy Blago. I remember going to Soldier Field years ago and turned the wrong way on Lake Shore Drive when I was going home.I think I was at 95th and Stoney Island when a cop pulled me over and asked me where I was going.I told him I was lost and trying to find the Northwest Tollway.He gave me directions and told me it was dangerous for a white person in that part of town and to lock my doors and don’t stop if anybody approaches you.That’s why I don’t go to Chicago anymore.

A couple of years ago I took a wrong turn around midnight, due to detours, and ended up in another world. Being raised in Detroit, I knew not to stop for the red light when no cars. I was thrown off though because cars started flashing. It was, “To pull over or not to pull over. Is it really police or not.” I slowed through an intersection and then was blocked in by cars, not squad cars, and a guy with a pony tail sticks a gun in the car and a lady starts screaming, “Oh my God, their is a kid in here (had son with me). There is a kid in here. Get a uniform over here.” They asked what I was doing and told them I was lost. Oh boy, the expletives. They said, “Lady, get you ass out of here. Go straight down this road and after second light you will be safe to get lost again.” I asked how to get to the airport. “Lady, get the hell out of here and don’t you look back and keep the kid down. Now!” I think I interrupted an undercover operation going down by all the expletives mixed with, “months shot” and, “they know us!”, and the chilling, “We are dead.” Not until I got home did I realize the fuss. I must have been suspected to be who/what or a part of what was going down by my car. Dark Windows Buick Riveria-mauve, and sort of pimped out. I scanned the papers for days but never saw anything about it. Still pray for those undercover officers. I never was shit-my-pants scared in Detroit but this night, this area in Chicago, was bone-chilling. For one thing, other than those talking to me there was nothing: no people. no sound. no light. no life. And yet you could smell the danger.

I drove a Cadillac for several years when I was in my early twenties. The car had belonged originally to my father’s boss’s wife, then she sold it to my dad, and after he’d driven it a few years he got a new car and gave the old one to me. I was too poor not to accept it, although it looked totally out of place in the low-income blue-collar neighborhood where I lived –especially being driven by a flower child with long frizzy hair who always wore homemade peasant dresses. I would have been much more at home in a VW bug or something, but nobody offered me one of those.

We have been watching the American Heritage series, just saw a segment that included this telling incident.
In a court case about prayer at a public school graduation, a group presented argument and original founders’ documents demonstrating that public schools existed before the USA did and that men who helped write and ratify the Constitution not only attended graduations at which prayers were offered, but did the offering!
One of the justices noted that their evidence proved one of two things. Either these founders had been hypocrites, knowing prayer at a public school graduation was wrong and doing it anyway, or else they didn’t understand the Constitution.
That would be the Constitution they WROTE. ?!?!?
The ignorant arrogance of Leftists never ceases to amaze me.
