I don’t care what part of the political spectrum you ride, if you’re a voting citizen, you should be paying attention ALL the time, not just when it’s time to go to the polls.
Please read the article from American Spectator Pete linked to. If it makes you angry, speak up! Heck, if you approve of the cuts, speak up.
Obviously, I’d rather you didn’t, but my kids risk their lives defending your right to call them bad names and vote for people who will screw them over, so have at it.

I just did it. They never asked for any money and they did put me on a list to receive emails about my legislators votes.

Which is dumb, because it means a TON of people now trying to get jobs AND collecting unemployment. So instead of the government paying them to work, they (or rather, America’s workforce) can pay them to do nothing. Good plan. Apparently they want to cut some of our benefits too. Yes, the military has some pretty good benefits, but that’s to compensate for their pay. Max said they’re talking about cutting COLA, which is the Cost Of Living Allotment. It varies from duty station, how much and if there is one or not. It’s another pay compensation. Civilians pay relates to many things, including where they are working. Military base pay is based on rank and years of service. BAH and BAS (Basic Allowance for Housing and Sustenance) is based on rank and dependents. COLA is to compensate for cost of living b/c base pay has nothing to do with where you live! Our friend said they got a huge COLA in Hawaii but they used it every single month b/c everything is really expensive there. well, anyway, here’s hoping stupid cuts don’t happen 🙂 xoxoxoxoxoxo”

I think we are just playing into the hands of the left when we keep looking at racial inequity. We know it exists, but we need to remain calm. The militants are stoking the flames right now. They want us to get madder and madder until we explode.
Sharpton and Jackson are the tools to stir up a race war. They want to create chaos. They want us to get mad and take it to the streets so we can have full blown riots. We can not let the inequity of this fuel disaster.
We need to be patient and vote show our revulsion at the ballot box this.
Don’t give in or they win. Don’t become a tool to alinsky tactics.
Keep your eyes on the prize!
Just keep thinking about how wonderful it will be to see BHO and his gang of thugs leave the White House. O Happy Day! It is what keeps me going.
