Yesterday our most benevolent ruler took time from his busy schedule of raising money and tearing the country apart to stop in Aurora,Colorado to meet with families of the Batman Massacre.He appeared to be attentive,sympathetic and I’m sure he promised them anything they needed.Fortunately for them they live in a swing state he needs desperately.What a marked difference to his response to victims of the Fort Hood massacre.I may be cynical,but I refuse to believe this poser gives a tinker’s dam about anybody but himself.I know him too well.

For me, it just boils down to the fact that all the publicly available services Obama cited — teachers, roads, bridges, the internet — are there for everybody.
Some of us have ADDED VALUE to those things with our own intelligence and hard work. Some of us have not.

Yes…that is exactly what he meant and his premise is true (partially-who’s to say I wouldn’t build a road if it wasn’t built for me?), but he’s also wrong in his conclusions. As you state, everyone had those and some people chose to build something with them, while others sat around and only utilized what was built for them. BIG DIFFERENCE!

Several people did something like this for me one horrible hot day many years ago when my clutch cable snapped in the middle of a dangerous intersection as I was attempting to turn left.
I had 4 very young children in the car. My first thought was to get them out of traffic, so I hauled them out of the car post haste, ran them across the road and screamed at them to get their backs up against that brick wall and NOT MOVE.
When I turned back, a bunch of cars had stopped and blocked traffic, their drivers and dunno who all were pushing my car into a blessedly empty parking space right at the corner.
It’s been more than 20 years, but it still makes me weep to think of it.

When my Marine was home on leave, the Lefties had an anti-war rally in the town square. She wanted to go, but checked with her CO first. He said she could go if she did not wear her uniform and did not allow anyone to hand her anything. They’d had experience before with the Left photographing soldiers in these situations then lying in the cut lines that they supported the rally.
