The Dreaded Complication

For most physicians, the dreaded complication is that the patient dies, but what abortionists dread is having the baby survive.

INCREDIBLE! I just googled “Gosnell trial” and one of the top hits was a HuffPo article posted 10 hours ago with the title …

“Kermit Gosnell Trial Is A ‘Peek Into The World Before Roe v. Wade'” by NARAL President Ilyse Hogue

Wow … could they BE any more blindly self-serving? Gosnell’s atrocities are the direct result of unrestricted, unregulated legal abortion, NOT some grotesque flashback to the “bad old days” when, BTW, fewer than 300 women died per year from illegal abortions nationally.

And you know why the number was so low?

Because it was a felony to perform an abortion, so the doctors who did it (and they mostly were doctors, using real tools, not coat hangers) had to be very careful so they wouldn’t get caught.

But now that we have “safe, legal” abortion, politicians like Kathleen Sebelius (former Kansas Governor and bff of late-term abortionist George Tiller) actively protect abortion butchers from prosecution and Planned Parenthood routinely spends millions lobbying against the passage of and then fighting in the courts to strike down laws that attempt in any way to protect the health and safety of women seeking abortion. This is why abortionists like Gosnell operate with impunity.

Speaking of which … this country elected President Barack Obama, a man who

  • made Kathleen Sebelius the Secretary of Health and Human Services,
  • has enthusiastically supported Planned Parenthood for years, and
  • sided with Kermit Gosnell on the killing of infants who survive abortions.

For the record, Fox News is barely covering the Gosnell trial. I’m appalled.

Tammy Bruce tweeted a good point here:

quite a few pro-lifers turning into self-righteous jerks over #Gosnell. Hint: Want to influence pro-choicers? Don’t be smug jerks.

This is what I’m talking about==> RT @PaddyMODonnell we just don’t like people murdering babies. But I guess it doesn’t bother you.

when you start to sound like a liberal, getting *excited* and smug about mass murder because it helps ur “cause,” yes, ur a jerk.

    Tweeter makes sense:

HOW did #Gosnell’s abortion clinic go 17 years without being inspected? Even tattoo parlors get inspected monthly in many PA counties.

Gosnell is not some aberration in the abortion industry. He is just the one that got caught.

Unfortunately, the MSM will treat this tragedy the same way they did Fast and Furious and the Benghazi murders.Anything to hide what an ugly theology liberalism is.Liberalism is their religion and abortion is their sacrament. They will stop at nothing to protect what they treasure.

I found this from last November:10 things a pro-choice candidate will never be asked by the media.

It goes without saying that I do not like a single thing about this topic, but I like the job you did in this post communicating about this issue.

Good article here: “an official of Planned Parenthood recently suggested that the right to kill children extends well beyond birth. Why not? If it’s right to kill them when they’re minutes old and screaming, why not kill them when they’re six months old or a year?

It’s all apiece with the liberal culture of death. In Holland, reports exist that older people refuse hospitalization out of fear that a doctor will kill them. In England, the National Health Service is placing helpless elderly on what is euphemistically called the “Pathway” and refusing them medication, food, and water. Under ObamaCare, we will have much the same, with what Sarah Palin called “Death Panels” deciding who lives and who dies. ”

Something truly remarkable happened yesterday. After days and weeks of pushing by New Media and social media, the mainstream media has not only admitted that they should have covered the ongoing capital murder trial of abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell, they have promised to immediately remedy that mistake…

This is not the usual-usual from our media. Normally, like a game, the media will only admit to this kind of oversight long after it is too late to do anything about it. Worse still, the admission of the mistake is generally just a convenient excuse for the media to talk about its favorite subject — themselves.

Much of the speculation has been about why so many news outlets ignored the story. But perhaps the real story here is the way the trial became a national story without the help of the MSM—and arguably even despite its best efforts to ignore the trial. In the last century, there were a few central news gatekeepers who controlled what stories Americans heard. The internet and social media have changed all that; the people have swept aside the gatekeepers and ripped the gates from their hinges.

The MSM is no longer in control; anyone and everyone now has the tools to call the media out and if the story is hot and compelling enough (and the trial of an accused multiple baby killer passes that test with ease), it will force itself into the national conversation.

    Good.

“The internet and social media have changed all that; the people have swept aside the gatekeepers and ripped the gates from their hinges.”

Anyone remember the 1994 movie “With Honors”? (From Netflix: Harvard public-policy major Monty Kessler (Brendan Fraser) finds himself in a pinch when his thesis ends up in the hands of Simon Wilder (Joe Pesci), a resourceful vagabond living in the university library’s basement. Sensing a meal ticket, Simon offers to trade pages of the essay for food and lodging. An unlikely bond forms between the pair, and Simon teaches the self-absorbed, overachieving Monty that there’s more to life than book learning.)

Fave scene: Pesci’s speech to a Harvard class about why America is great.

Mention it now because the top line is the theme of the thesis that Fraser’s character eventually submits, knowing his professor will hate it for its optimism about the American system.

      Really good flick.
