AUSTIN: It’s been two years since Austin police stopped responding to non-emergency calls because of low officer numbers. Now they include in “non-emergencies” getting mugged. They recently boosted the department’s budget, so they’ve got money to update their logo, but not to put officers on the street to respond to thefts. EVs: A recent study found that 20% of electric vehicle owners are going back to gas fueled vehicles. Reasons cited for defecting include: moving to an area without enough of the right kind of charging stations; needing a gas car for long trips; astronomical repair costs; huge environmental costs in manufacture and disposal of batteries.

It ought to settle the much argued question of masks for the public.”
