NORTH CAROLINA: Since a law banning abortions after 12 weeks of gestation went into effect, facility-based abortions dropped 31%.

ROWLING: In response to an insane proposal in the UK government, Harry Potter author and TERF extraordinaire is doubling down on her opposition to trans bullies. If the Labour party has its way, “transphobic abuse” would be treated the same as assault and harassment motivated by hatred on the grounds of race or religion, which are punishable by up to two years in prison. Included in the acts they want to criminalize are refusing to use a person’s preferred pronouns or referring to them by their former name or their birth sex rather than their chosen gender.

TRUMP: Former Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal has endorsed former President Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential bid, saying that Americans “are in danger of losing our country” otherwise. “Trump may not be warm and cuddly, but he is a warrior, and that is what we need right now.”

VAXXX: A new peer-reviewed study reports how German scientists learned that both the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 mRNA serums cause heart dysfunctions that significantly increase the risk of acute cardiac events. This study was done in mice who began to show heart damage 48 hours of getting the jab. So why wasn’t this done before millions and millions and millions of human guinea pigs were innoculated?! And why are the FDA, Pfizer, and Moderna still refusing to release the data from their follow-up of human myocarditis patients?

MAKEUP FREE: On Sept. 29, Natasha Beresford (26) was crowned the first Miss Make-Up Free London 2023. The new pageant encourages judges to look past appearance and evaluate contestants based on inner beauty, talents and ethics. In addition to being lovely in her own skin and having an impressive resumé, she wore the most modest and feminine outfit of the five semi-finalists. MUSLIMS SUCK: On Tuesday, Egypt shut its border with Gaza and, on Thursday, Egyptian leader Abdel Fattah al-Sisi told his fellow Muslims in Gaza that, war or no war, they are not welcome. Sometimes I gotta wonder if Allah wasn’t just the name of a demon who whispered in Mohammed’s ear.

PRAY FOR PEACE: Catholic and Orthodox bishops have declared Tuesday, October 17, to be a worldwide day of fasting, prayer, and abstinence for peace. October 17 is the feast of St. Ignatius of Antioch, a first-century martyr and Church Father. A disciple of John the Apostle, he was sentenced to death in 107 for refusing to renounce the Christian faith. While he was being taken to Rome to be brutally devoured by wild beasts in a public spectacle, he wrote seven letters of encouragement, instruction and inspiration to fellow Christians which are still treasured today.

VAXXX: A study entitled “Potential Autoimmunity Resulting from Molecular Mimicry between SARS-CoV-2 Spike and Human Proteins” was published on June 23, 2022 in the Special Issue of Virus Bioinformatics 2022. It reported that the spike proteins on the surface of the COVID-19 virus share structural similarities to human proteins that could trigger autoimmune disorders like arthritis, vasculitis, lupus, and adult-onset Still’s disease.

WH SPOX: Multiple times in recent weeks, KJP has been called out for ignoring specific reporters. Last week, when reporter Jalil Afridi of Pakistan’s The Frontier Post was called on, he asked if he could have two questions since she had not called on him in four months. That shows disrespect to a free and independent media! It’s blacklisting one of the nation’s largest and most-read newspapers, Karine. GRAMMY NOTES: I had a gastro appointment on Tuesday for my never-ending gut issues, which resulted in a diagnostic diet that we thought would put the kibosh on our usual anniversary fancy-foods celebration. But my guy is so good … he took the diet sheet to Wegman’s and hunted down a delicious meal and dessert for us that fit the OK foods list! After eating, we said a rosary in thanksgiving for our amazing marriage and family, then watched a movie. It was perfect. ❤

The Barbarity of Hamas

The following is excerpts from “Israelis Describe Hellish Scenes in Communities Attacked by Hamas Terrorists” by Bill Pan, published in The Epoch Times on October 13, 2023.

The atrocities were too much to handle, even for someone with decades of experience in recovering bodies.

Content warning: This article contains graphic descriptions of extreme violence that may be distressing to some readers.

An Israeli emergency responder with two decades of experience in recovering bodies said he found it difficult to deal with what he witnessed in communities ravaged by the onslaught of Hamas terrorists, a picture that could only be described as hellish.

“Do you want me to tell you about the hardest sights? Bodies of babies tied up,” Mendy Haviv, a commander of non-governmental rescue and recovery organization ZAKA, told Epoch Israel.

Mr. Haviv and his ZAKA volunteers entered Be’eri, a kibbutz near Israel’s border with Hamas-controlled Gaza. Home to more than 1,000 people before Hamas unleashed attacks that Israeli officials characterized as the “worst since the Holocaust,” Be’eri is now a place marked by horror and inhumanity.

“At the end of the kibbutz, in a house that was completely destroyed, they [the babies] are sitting on a fence outside of the house,” Mr. Haviv recalled. “Their bodies are burned. Their parents, sitting in front of them, are slaughtered.“

He moved on to describe even more harrowing scenes: a pregnant woman with her stomach cut open and a woman burned in a wheelchair.

“Burnt bodies, burnt houses everywhere. Decapitated heads of children of several ages,” he added. “The smell of rotting corpses [is so bad] that you can’t even breathe. This is the horror we are dealing with.”

In kibbutz Kfar Gaza, a little more than five miles north of Be’eri, Mr. Haviv said the volunteers encountered booby traps placed under the victims’ bodies.

“The bodies are still there, with the explosive charge, at least until yesterday,” he told Epoch Israel. “The whole activity there for those 24 hours just makes you cry.“

The search and recovery commander said he was not allowed to take photos of the victims. But for the purpose of identification, he only took pictures of unique marks like tattoos and earrings.

“I don’t photograph horrors. I don’t photograph decapitated heads. Definitely not. Because the Jewish religion forbids me to do this,” he said. “But for the purpose of identification, I take pictures of what needs to be taken: tattoos, earrings, all kinds of signs, so that the family will know that the person was found [dead] and was not kidnapped.”

Retired Lt. Col. Yaron Buskila, an Israeli Defense Force (IDF) veteran-turned-military commentator and contributor to Epoch Israel, said he talked to a rabbi who went into the kibbutzim with IDF troops to give the victims proper Jewish burial. He now regrets having that conversation.

“I regret that I even met the rabbi,” said Mr. Buskila, who has seen combat during his service. “His descriptions of things he saw were so shocking to hear that I just threw up.”

In addition to children and adults being decapitated, according to Mr. Buskila, the rabbi saw “babies that were hanged in a row” with their mothers’ bras.

“Even in the [horror] film, it is difficult to see such sights,” he said.

GEORGE SOROS: The Nazi sympathizer who has been using his billion$ to fund the Far Left has always hated Israel. In 2007, he insisted that both American and Israel “must open the door to Hamas”, a group that included Jewish genocide in its founding charter.  

HAMAS: In response to the call by the former leader of Hamas to stage global demonstrations in support of the Palestinians who bombed and invaded Israel, the NYPD has ordered all cops to report in uniform starting Friday.

ISRAEL: A senior Hamas official says that Hamas began preparing for its recent attack on Israel two years ago, which means after the Biden administration orchestrated its disastrous withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan.

PALESTINE: One of the moronic co-hosts on The View tried to defend Gazans on the basis that they did not elect the terrorist government making war on Israel. Actually, they did. In 2006, Hamas won the majority of seats in the Palestinian Legislature; since 2007, there have been no new elections, because Hamas doesn’t want to lose control. However, it is unlikely they would, since a 2021 poll showed 59% of Gazans are satisfied with the performance of the Hamas government and 47% support Hamas’ use of violence as their primary method of resistance.

VAXXX: A study entitled “Effects of the COVID-19 booster vaccine on glycemia and insulin resistance in people with type 1 diabetes: A prospective pilot study” was published on September 5, 2023 in Diabetes Research and Clinical Practice.It reports that the ‘rona booster may cause a rise in blood sugar in folks with Type 1 Diabetes. For most, the effect is minor and transient, though some have had acute reactions that required hospitalization. Diabetics are encouraged to pay close attention to their blood sugar following any vaccination, since the reason for the rise is not understood at this time.

WOMEN’S SPORTS: The Education Amendments of 1972, more commonly referred to as Title IX (or Title Nine), prohibited sex-based discrimination in any school or any other education program that receives funding from the federal government. It led to massive growth in athletic opportunities for females as schools were forced to fund neglected teams for girls. Title IX is now being used to destroy these gains.

War in Israel

October 7, 2023: Israel has declared a state of war.

ISRAEL DECLARES WAR: On October 7, Hamas launched thousands of rockets from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory, in an unprecedented, unprovoked surprise attack. They also crossed into Israel to attack homes and civilians. The attack has resulted in hundreds of deaths and thousands wounded 2,500 wounded. At least 150 hostages — mostly Israelis but also including foreign and dual nationals — being held in Gaza by Hamas.

ISRAEL: Israel has responded with massed forces, tanks and other heavy armor against Hamas, leveling over 1,000 buildings and cutting off water, food and energy supplies for 2.3 million people.

More than 260,000 Gaza residents have been forced from their homes. The European Union has called for a “humanitarian corridor” to allow civilians to flee. Israel has also struck targets in southern Lebanon, an area controlled by Hezbollah, an ally of Israel’s arch enemy Iran.

FAUXTUS: US President Joe Biden has diverted an aircraft carrier battle group to the eastern Mediterranean and pledged to send more munitions and military hardware to support Israel. To Israel’s enemies, he said, “To any country, any organization, anyone thinking of taking advantage of this situation, I have one word: don’t.” I bet that’s got them shaking in their keffiyehs. Meanwhile, reports have emerged that U.S. weapons the weakling POTUS ordered our military to leave behind when they rushed out of Afghanistan have ended up in the hands of Palestinian groups operating in the Gaza Strip.

TRUMP: Former President Donald Trump warned that the shocking and brutal attack by Hamas terrorists on Israeli civilians over the weekend has the makings of World War III. He also drew ties between the Biden administration’s flooding of young male, military-aged unvetted immigrants into the country and the Pearl Harbor style-attack by Hamas.

Some are saying it’s propaganda, but Israeli Major General Itai Veruv said on air, “What I saw, hundreds of terrorists in full armor, full gear, with all the equipment and all the ability make a massacre. Go from apartment to apartment, from room to room and kill babies, mothers, fathers in their bedrooms… They locked themselves in the protection rooms of their houses and people were out with their children and they killed them. They killed babies in front of their parents, and then killed the parents. They killed parents and we found babies between the dogs and the family killed before him. They cut heads of the people. … It’s not a war, it’s not a battlefield. It’s a massacre, it’s a terror activity.”

IRAN: Days before the attack, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei called for the eradication of the ‘Zionist regime’ which he described as a ‘cancer.’ On Oct 10, he said the Israeli “regime cannot conceal its monstrous and devious face in the attack on Gaza and the massacre of Gazans through the act of lying or by playing the victim. By speaking nonsense, it cannot attribute the bravery of the Palestinian youth and their intelligent plans to non-Palestinians.”

HEZBOLLAH: This morning, a Lebanese imam affiliated with Hezbollah told MSNBC’s Matt Bradley that there were hundreds, even thousands of martyrs prepared to sacrifice themselves against Israel. MSNBC’s Matt Bradley said, “If Hezbollah does decide to enter the war, it would be a game changer. Hezbollah is so much more powerful than Hamas [and] enjoys much more support from Iran and other actors in the Middle East. … They have real weapons, real training … that really more resembles an army.”

RASHIDA TLAIB: The first Muslim woman to serve in the Michigan legislature and one of the first two Muslim women elected to Congress, Democrat Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) made headlines for herself when she added a loud “F**k Trump!” to her oath of office. She has a Palestinian flag outside her office on Capitol Hill. Earlier this week, she had no comment to these questions from a reporter:

“Congresswoman, Hamas terrorists have cut off baby’s heads and burned children alive. Do you support Israel’s rights to defend themselves against this brutality?” No comment. “You can’t comment about Hamas terrorists chopping off baby’s heads? Congresswoman, why do you have the Palestinian flag outside your office, if you do not condone what Hamas terrorists have done to Israel? Do Israeli lives not matter to you?” No comment.

BLM: On Oct. 10, Black Lives Matter Grassroots, which represents 26 local BLM chapters across the country, issued a lengthy statement “in solidarity with the Palestinian people.” The gist of it was that the Palestinians must not be condemned since they “have been subject to decades of apartheid and unimaginable violence.” Also, “let us understand the resistance in Palestine as an attempt to tear down the gates of the world’s biggest open air prison.”

FOREIGN NATIONALS: Dozens of foreigners in Israel, many of them tourists or students, have been reported or missing, while thousands have asked to be evacuated.

BORDER: The Archdiocese of Mexico has warned that the huge increase in migrants has overwhelmed the shelters run by the Roman Catholic Church, creating “a true humanitarian crisis.”

CANNABIS: Currently, 23 states, three U.S. territories, and Washington, D.C., have legalized marijuana use, with another eight decriminalizing it. Recent studies are showing disturbing side effects from recreational use of THC. One survey of more than 2,500 teens and found that 70% of THC users experience anxiety symptoms compared to 40% of non-users. Another study found that teens using cannabis recreationally are two to four times as likely to develop psychiatric disorders, including depression and suicidality, compared to teens who don’t use cannabis.

CATHOLIC: A new survey of 1,000 Catholics found that 95% of those who attend Mass at least once a week believe in the true presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. Among self-identified Catholics who only attend Mass a few times a year, that number drops to 51%. Only 3% of the respondents said they attend daily Mass at least some of the time; this is too small of a sample to be statistically significant, but I’m betting if you surveyed 1,000 of those (us), the number who believe that Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist would approach 100%.

DISINFORMATION: Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, NBC News, Associated Press, and others marked today with tributes to Matthew Shepard, who was pistol whipped, tied to a fence in freezing conditions, then set on fire in 1998 by two men who allegedly were gay-hating rednecks.

But according to The Book of Matt, the motivation behind these heinous acts was not homophobia, but drugs. The book’s author, investigative journalist Stephen Jimenez, spent 13 years interviewing more than 100 people with a connection to the case. His conclusion is that, far from being a gay martyr, Matthew Shepard was actually an intelligent and once promising young man who ruined his life with drugs and promiscuity.

At the time of his death, he was an HIV-positive, meth-addicted, homosexual prostitute who suffered from bouts of depression. He also bought and sold crystal meth. The two men who tortured and killed him didn’t care that he was gay; they wanted to steal his meth stash, which was valued at $10K. In fact, one of Shepard’s killers was his pimp, with whom he’d had occasional sexual encounters.

IMO, the worst thing to come out of the Shepard homophobia myth was hate crime legislation, which set the deeply dangerous precedent of criminalizing thoughts. Crime is supposed to be about what a person has done, not about why they did it. Motive may be important in helping a jury discern guilt and it should certainly factor into sentencing, but it should never be labeled as a crime in and of itself.

EDUCATION: Critics of school choice often say it leads to higher tuition at private schools, but a new study shows the opposite is true. Over the past 10 years, states that adopted school choice policies had lower rates of tuition increases than states that never had school choice policies. States without school choice had an average 27.6% increase in tuition, while states with school choice saw a 15.4% increase.

FENTANYL: Between 2019 and 2021, fentanyl-related adolescent overdose deaths nearly tripled. A quarter of those deaths involved counterfeit drugs — pills purporting to be Valium, Xanax, or Percocet that the teens got from friends or bought online. Mama Buzz was just telling me about a talk she heard about the rise in dangerous counterfeit drugs that may contain no active ingredients or may contain enough fentanyl in a single pill to kill you. Point being … you should only use drugs that your doctor has prescribed and that you have filled at a reputable pharmacy. If the bottle does not have your name and the doctor’s name on it, don’t trust what’s inside. Drug counterfeiters gotten very good at making their pills look like the real things.

HYDROXYCHLOROQUINE: A new study entitled “Efficacy and safety of in-hospital treatment of Covid-19 infection with low-dose hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin in hospitalized patients: A retrospective controlled cohort study” has been published in the October 2023 edition of New Microbes and New Infections. It found that COVID-19 patients treated with hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin were more likely to survive than those treated with the standard protocol.

Mask Update

As of May 11, 2023, the CDC was still recommending masking for anyone over 2 years of age. Their claims include:

  • Masking is a critical public health tool for preventing spread of COVID-19, and it is important to remember that any mask is better than no mask.
  • To protect yourself and others from COVID-19, CDC continues to recommend that you wear the most protective mask you can that fits well and that you will wear consistently.
  • Masks and respirators are effective at reducing transmission of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, when worn consistently and correctly.

On September 28, 2023, a paper entitled “An analysis of studies pertaining to masks in Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report: Characteristics and quality of studies from 1978 to 2023” was published in The American Journal of Medicine. In it, researchers examined all the mask research that has been published in the CDC’s Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR).

The CDC touts the MMWR as its “primary vehicle for scientific publication of timely, reliable, authoritative, accurate, objective, and useful public health information and recommendations.” It is one of the most influential federal health journals, one which the researchers note “has substantial influence on United States health policy.”

Of all the studies they looked at, 77 met their inclusion criteria; all were published after 2019. Fifty-eight stated that masks were effective, yet only 11 had statistically significant evidence. All of them were retrospective, cross-sectional, or observational in design; zero were randomized. More than half claimed causal rather than correlative or associative results, which retrospective, cross-sectional, observational, and non-randomized studies cannot validly assert.
