CATHOLIC: Only three angels are named in Holy Scripture – Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael. In general, we are not privileged to know the names of any others, including our guardian angels. We can pray to angels for their intercession, but we have no right to assign names to them.

COMMITTEES: I heard one commentator say the GOP is not, but should be treating Dems the way they treated Rep. Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga. That is, removing them from House committee assignments for petty little gripes, such as posting tweets Dems disapproved of.

What Speaker McCarthy is actually doing is removing people who, if the Dems had had an ounce of integrity or love for this country, would have been removed long ago. Schiff has repeatedly leaked classified information and spent years abusing his authority as chair of the Intelligence Committee to target the Dems’ #1 political opponent with malicious lies.

As for Swalwell, he should have been booted off Intelligence the minute it was learned he’d been having an affair with a Chinese spy. As McCarthy pointed out, “Eric Swalwell cannot get a security clearance in the public sector. Why would we ever give him a security clearance in the secrets to America?”

As for Omar being on the Foreign Affairs Committee … puh-leeze. She has long been a vocal hater of our nation. How she can even take the oath of office with a straight face is beyond me. But she may end up keeping her seat. Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., is one of a handful of Republican who oppose McCarthy’s efforts to remove her. Their votes may be enough for her to stay on. The RISK is of suffering a serious adverse event; the BENEFIT is the reduction of hospitalization for the virus. The way I read these numbers, the risk far exceeds the benefit.

ATTACK VIDEO: [6:07] – This footage proves untrue some of the things people have said, e.g. that DePape was in his underwear; he is fully clothed. Also, that he and Paul faked the break in; he definitely broke in. However, I still wonder why Pelosi himself didn’t have better security on his home. According to the Garabandal seer, Conchita, the death of Pope Benedict XVI marks “the beginning of the end of times.” The death of Pope Benedict XVI also demonstrates that Fr. Michel Rodrigue is a false prophet.

On January 3, 2019, Fr. Michel Rodrigue said God told him, “Pope Francis will die as a martyr. Then the Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI will appear, who still wears his papal ring. He will try to summon a council to save the Church. I saw him weak and fragile, held on both sides by two Swiss Guards. I saw him suddenly fleeing Rome due to the all-around devastation. He is hiding but he will be found afterward and I also saw his martyrdom.”

Clearly, that’s not going to happen! Apparently the dates of other prophecies he’s made have also come and gone. Sadly some still seem to believe in him though, for a devout Catholic, it should be a Big Red Flag that both of his bishops have publicly denounced him. One of them also noted that he had “renounced his pastoral charge as pastor of the three parishes that I had entrusted to him.”

I read the account by Theodore Sagezza (see the fromrome link below) of a visit to a “refuge” that Fr. Rodrigue says St. Michael the Archangel told him to establish. The description of the very isolated and off-grid compound with locked gates and overworked volunteers wasting resources due to repeated prophecies that don’t come to pass fairly reeks of cult.

There are a lot of disturbing aspects in the account, but to me the worst was that, inside the chapel “there was a big framed portrait of Fr. Michel Rodrigue.” That just is not done in Catholic churches! The only time I’ve ever seen anything remotely close is at my parish where the long-dead founder’s picture is in the parish hall. But we’ve had many, many priests come and go since then; not one of them has a photo.

GRAMMY NOTES: I know somebody who lived in Beijing in the early 1980s. He said that, at least in the cities, every woman had someone assigned to keep track of her menstrual cycle. If she failed to start bleeding in a timely way and was not scheduled for her one baby, the government took her in to get her womb vacuumed out.

From what I’ve read from following pro-life news for decades is that, in the country, women weren’t forcibly aborted until they were visibly pregnant with an illegal baby. And if they managed to give birth, the baby was euthanized with an injection of iodine into its brain.

The one exception was if the first child was disabled. Since Chinese culture favors males, the incidence of girl babies who were left to die in dumpsters, abandoned at orphanages, or had their hands cut off was very high. The only person I know who adopted a Chinese boy was Jim Caviezel and that is only because the kid had a brain tumor, so the parents dumped him.

In 2022, 34 healthy volunteers had the ‘rona virus shoved up their noses. Despite all the doomsday coming from the global elite, only half of them developed even mild symptoms. The other half didn’t get infected at all.

Good nutrition, exercise, and rest are all important in developing and maintaining a strong immune system. Another key factor is promoting positive emotions, thoughts, and actions.

The New York Times reported that Alexandra Pelosi said, “I think that [the attack on Paul] weighed really heavy on her soul. I think she felt really guilty. I think that really broke her. Over Thanksgiving, she had priests coming, trying to have an exorcism of the house and having prayer services.”

The following day, FOX and Friends Weekend reported that San Francisco Archdiocese reported being unaware of any exorcism at the Pelosi home.

Since everyone is jumping to “Pelosi lied” conclusions, I’d like to clarify this issue. Any Catholic priest can bless a house – i.e., sprinkle holy water around while saying a house blessing with or without deliverance prayers. We had it done fairly recently at Casa Hyphen.

Because this is within a priest’s normal faculties, the local bishop doesn’t need to know about it. It’s only the formal Rite of Exorcism that requires a trained priest who has been designated by his bishop for such work. However, a formal exorcism would not be done simply because somebody asked for it. It’s a deadly serious process that requires a long preliminary process of investigation, interviews, and discernment prayer.

It’s likely that what the NYT said Alexandra said is correct, but she clearly doesn’t understand the nuances of RCC protocols. I had the same conundrum when a relative told me her “probably won’t last through the night” premie triplets were given the Sacraments of Baptism and of Anointing of the Sick (after which they made an astonishing recovery and are now healthy 30+ somethings).

My pastor explained that the babies were certainly baptized, but that the priest would have done Prayers for the Sick, not the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, because the latter includes and require the Sacrament of Reconciliation, which babies clearly can not and do not need to do.

So, like Alexandra, that mom hadn’t lied to me. She had just misunderstood exactly what the priest had done.

The Madonna cover (below) appears to be based on this statue of Our Lady of Sorrows. It is reproduced frequently on the internet and is even for sale in some places, but I was not able to find any attribution for where the statue actually is or who made it.

Our Lady of Sorrows is a Catholic devotion dating back many hundreds of years. In images, Mary is portrayed sorrowful and in tears, with swords piercing her heart. Meditations and prayers focus on the seven great sorrows she experienced during her life on Earth:

1. The prophecy of Simeon (Luke 2);
2. The flight into Egypt (Matthew 2);
3. The loss of the child Jesus when he stayed behind (Luke 2);
4. Her meeting Jesus as he carried His cross (not explicitly found in Scripture, but depicted in the fourth Station of the Cross);
5. The Crucifixion of Jesus (Matthew 27, Mark 15, Luke 23, John 19);
6. The removal of Jesus from the cross (Matthew 27, Mark 15, Luke 23, and John 19); and
7. The burial of Jesus (Matthew 27, Mark 15, Luke 23, and John 19).

The Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows is celebrated on September 15.

Madonna has been known for sacrilegiously appropriating Catholic themes since the beginning of her career. In her latest, she stars in an unspeakably blasphemous photo shoot for Vanity Fair: The Icon Issue portrayed as the Blessed Virgin Mary dressed up as Our Lady of Sorrows on the cover. Inside, she appears as Jesus in the Last Supper, where she is flanked by nearly-nude female “apostles” at a Roman orgy type dining table, one of whom is obscenely posed.

When asked about religion, she said, “Religion is respecting other religions. Religion is not joining an exclusive or extremist group.” She said she cultivates “spiritual practices. Practices that apply to me and don’t have to apply to everyone. And I think everyone should do that because I find it important to pray and have a connection with the soul, with the spiritual force, call it what you will.”

Satan. I call it Satan.
