Bruce and Nellie Ohr were in it up to their necks

2020_05 14 Steel Ohrs

At one time, DOJ attorney Bruce Ohr denied there was a conflict of interest between his Trump-Russia work at the DOJ and his wife Nellie’s Trump-Russia work at Fusion GPS.

But the recently released transcript of FBI agent Michael Gaeta’s testimony before the House Intelligence Committee tells a different story.

Fusion GPS is the opposition research company that produced the now-discredited Trump-Russia dossier that was attributed to Christopher Steele and allegedly based on Russian sources, but which is a total work of fiction that may have been authored by Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson and his wife, Mary Jacoby.

Michael Gaeta, Bruce Ohr, and Christopher Steele were all Russia experts who had known each other since 2010.

  • Michael Gaeta was head of the FBI’s Eurasian Organized Crime unit, which specializes in investigating criminal groups from Georgia, Russia, and Ukraine.
  • Bruce Ohr has spent most of his career at the DOJ overseeing gang and racketeering-related prosecutions, including Russian organized crime.
  • Christopher Steele ran the Russia desk at MI6 headquarters in London between 2006 and 2009. In 2009, he co-founded Orbis Business Intelligence, a London-based private intelligence firm.

ObamaGate: It’s on!

2020_05 14 obama toon

RussiaGate is now a complete dead letter — but ObamaGate is taking its place. Just how far did the then-president go to cripple his successor?” – New York Post editorial

It’s easy for me to understand why Obama would go to any lengths to destroy the Trump presidency. He was and is a thin-skinned narcissist who never, ever forgets a grudge.

I learned this way back when I first heard this story. On October 21, 2006, New York Times’ Maureen Dowd wrote a column called “Obama’s Project Runway.”

In it she says he logs “a lot of time at the gym” calls him an “intellectually nimble, preternaturally articulate smarty-pants.” Later, she says he “combines the political ability — alien to the Bush administration — to see something from your opponent’s point of view with the cool detachment of a J.F.K.”

But in the third-last paragraph, she mentions that his “ears stick out”, a trait she calls “intriguingly imperfect.

On Sunday, December 10, 2006, roughly 50 days after the article appeared, then-Senator Barack Obama sought out Dowd after a press conference and “chided her — in a kidding way” for having written that his “ears stick out.”

I just want to put you on notice,” he reportedly told her. “I was teased relentlessly when I was a kid about my big ears.”

He was a U.S. Senator for crying out loud. One might think he’d have had too much to think about to remember and be bothered about such a stupid thing. One even might think that anyone with such thin skin should not be in politics.

One would be wrong on the first count, but 100% right on the second. Continue reading

FLYNN: [5:35] – Acting Director of National Intelligence, Richard Grenell, has declassified a list of Obama administration officials who were involved in illegally “unmasking” former national security adviser Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn in his communications with the former Russian ambassador during President Donald Trump’s transition period.

Attorney General William Barr is now in possession of the list, and has the authority to make the document public. Continue reading

Covering Flynn

2020_05 13 media malpractice

These people remind me of the Soviet media, about which the people said, “There is no news in Pravda and no truth in Novosti.” In Russian, pravda means truth while novosti means news.

2017: The FBI goes after Trump’s National Security Adviser, Michael Flynn.

  • The liberal media danced with joy over the possibility that what they called “the biggest scandal since Iran-Contra” would bring down the Trump administration.

Jan. 14, 2020: Flynn moved to withdraw his guilty plea for lying to the FBI during his January 2017 interview with federal prosecutors. The motion cited “bad faith, vindictiveness, and a breach of the plea agreement’ by the government.

  • ABC, CBS, NBC combined evening news coverage: ZERO seconds.

Mama and Baby Owls with Egg and Nest

I just finished this for my two youngest grands and I’m SO excited about how great it turned out! For scale, the squares in the background are 2″ x 2″. It’s a paid crochet pattern that was very well written, lavishly illustrated, and easy to follow. I put the info at the bottom for any crocheters who are interested. It’s all single crochet worked in the round, with some increasing and decreasing, plus a row of reverse single crochet to finish the top of the nest and a bit of stitching and stuffing. I’d call it maybe an advanced beginner level.

OBAMA: When asked if she believes that Flynn was the victim of a plot that went all the way up to Barack Obama, Flynn’s attorney, Sidney Powell, said, “Absolutely.”

Now that there’s evidence of his collusion out in plain sight, Obama has been trying to spin Flynn’s dismissal as “unprecedented.

He’s wrong on half a dozen counts, as Jonathan Turley explained in a series of tweets.

President Obama is being quoted on Flynn, saying ‘There is no precedent that anybody can find for someone who has been charged with perjury just getting off scot-free.’ It is a curious statement. First and foremost, Flynn was not charged with perjury.

Second, we now know Obama discussed charging Flynn under the Logan Act which has never been used successfully to convict anyone and is flagrantly unconstitutional. Continue reading

SUNSHINE AT LAST: I wouldn’t be at all surprised if that is a real tear in Adam Schiff’s eye, cuz he is SO screwed. The House Intelligence Committee FINALLY released transcripts of 57 closed-door interviews with witnesses in the Trump-Russia collusion probe and they PROVE there NEVER was ANY evidence that Trump colluded with Russia.

We have long suspected the probe was, as Tucker puts it, an an elaborate and intentional hoax, staged by the most most unscrupulous and power-hungry political players this country has ever seen.” Now we know it with absolute certainty.

Click to hear Tucker talk about some of what’s in the more than 6,000 pages of transcripts [11:25]. Continue reading

RUSSIAN COLLUSION: Fox News reports that Rep. Adam Schiff is in panic mode. Remember back when Schiff’s Intelligence Committee was interviewing people not just behind closed doors, but inside a SCIF room?

SCIFs (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities) are accredited areas, room(s) or building(s) where classified stuff is stored, used, processed or discussed. Continue reading
