Michael Flynn is vindicated

2020_05 08 flynn rises

On May 7, 2020, the government filed a Motion to Dismiss the Criminal Information Against the Defendant Michael T. Flynn, in which the government moved to dismiss with prejudice the criminal information filed in this case pursuant to Federal Rule of Criminal Procedure 48 and as an exercise of its prosecutorial discretion.

Through the course of my review of General Flynn’s case, I concluded the proper and just course was to dismiss the case. I briefed Attorney General Barr on my findings, advised him on these conclusions, and he agreed.” – Jeffrey Jensen, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Missouri

The Honorable Emmet G. Sullivan, United States District Judge, has so ordered.

Attorney General Barr said, “I want to make sure that we restore confidence in the system. There’s only one standard of justice. And, I believe that… justice, in this case, requires dismissing the charges against General Flynn.

When asked if Barr was doing the president’s bidding, he responded: “I’m doing the law’s bidding. A crime cannot be established here.”

Reade v. Ford

2020_05 05 biden v kavanaugh

As of right now, Tara Reade has far more evidence backing her sexual assault allegation against Joe Biden than Christine Blasey Ford ever had against Brett Kavanaugh.

Reade alleges that Biden assaulted her in the summer of 1993.

  1. A clip from Larry King Live from August 1993, the last month Reade worked for Biden’s Senate office, features a mother expressing concern about her daughter’s insurmountable “problems” working for a prominent senator’s office. Reade had mentioned that she told her mother and that her mother had called the show anonymously before the clip resurfaced.
  2. Absolutely no one contests that Reade worked for and knew Biden.
  3. On-the-record corroboration from Reade’s former neighbor Lynda LaCasse says Reade gave her a detailed account of the assault just two or three years after it happened.
  4. Reade’s brother and a close friend have both confirmed that Reade told them about the assault at the time it occurred.
  5. A woman who worked with Reade in the mid-1990s said Reade told her “she had been sexually harassed by her former boss while she was in D.C., and as a result of her voicing her concerns to her supervisors, she was let go, fired.”

May the Force of Andrew Klavan Be With You

Klavan’s episode today is totally awesome and so worth watching that I am giving it its own blog posting. I strongly encourage all my highly intelligent and deeply thoughtful readers (which, of course, is all of you!) to give it your precious time and attention.

Click to see it on Facebook [28:54] or YouTube [46:57].

A few gems to whet your appetite …

Trump is making federalism great again.

Governors refusing to reopen are mainly motivated by fear of the media.

Without freedom, there can be no liberty.

If the government mandates it, then it’s not charity.

An awesome clip comparison between President Trump and Chicago’s mayor talking about those protesting continued lockdown.

We have seen the press stripped naked in this crisis.

The press went ballistic about how outrageous it was for President Trump to say he was treated worse than Lincoln who was assassinated. What Trump actually said was he has been treated worse than Lincoln by the press.

Click  to hear a rare message from former President George W. Bush, encouraging us all in this difficult time.

WU FLU: Secretary of State Mike Pompeo [3:37] The evidence strongly supports the conclusion that COVID-19 was a naturally occurring virus that escaped from a sloppily run lab and that the ChiComs then allowed the entire world to become infected by it.

Part of this is confusing, because they got their negatives muddled and ended up trying to say the same thing three times.

Chris Cuomo Lies Some More

Hypocrisy makes me nuts!

2020_05 03 chris cuomo

March 31, 2020: Chris Cuomo tested positive for COVID-19. He continued to work, anchoring his CNN show from his basement where he claimed he was quarantined to protect his family.

April 12, 2020: Chris Cuomo packed his family into the car and took a 30-minute drive from their home in Southampton to some property they are building on in East Hampton. A biker recognized him and criticized him for breaking quarantine.

According to the biker, Cuomo got angry. “He said, ‘Who the hell are you?! I can do what I want!’ He just ranted, screaming, ‘I’ll find out who you are!’ I said to him, ‘Your brother is the coronavirus czar, and you’re not even following his rules — unnecessary travel. He just began to boil more. He said, ‘This is not the end of this. You’ll deal with this later. We will meet again.’ If that’s not a threat, I don’t know what is.

The biker says he filed a report with the East Hampton police, because he hates bullies and wanted to get something on the record. He also said the police gave him “a huge pushback” about the report. Continue reading
