Busy day today. My regular Thursday yarn-spinning session with my uncles, then my partner wants to get the boat in the water later this AM. It seems like he hasn’t gotten the registration renewal for the boat (it’s only $18) and the old sticker expires today. It’s sunny, but the high is only going to be about 60 degrees, but we dress for that. Then later tonight is the first night of the NFL draft. It’s only important to a football junkie like me.
I don’t have time to do a whole post but I thought you might get a smile out of one of these.
I had done almost an entire post when my computer crashed. When I recovered it,the whole thing had been wiped out. There went an hour of my life I’ll never get back.
It occurred to me that the Soros-funded war between the street apes and the police is coming about, like the final scene in Conquest Of The Planet Of The Apes. It’s what Obama has been planning since before he stole his first election.
Anyway, I spent yesterday having lunch with my best friend, who has been in and out of the hospital while the doctors try to figure out the cause of his blackouts. So far all the tests have shown nothing. He wasn’t feeling too bad yesterday so we left the boat in the shed and just went to the local lake and fished off the pier. That we didn’t catch anything was of no import. We just spent a few hours talking about nothing in particular. We’ve been friends for 20 years, since his wife is DWs BFF (that’s how she and I got together in the first place.)

Grandson RJ Pistol’s first baseball game, scheduled for Saturday morning, was postponed due to inclement weather. They played Sunday afternoon under a bright blue sky with the temperature hovering around 60, with a breeze that necessitated a jacket. As usual his cheering section included mom, dad, stepmom, grandpa,two grandmas, and older sister. He hit the ball hard several times and recorded an RBI groundout in the fifth inning. It was a beautiful day.

Eric Holder Takes $77 Million Job With JPMorgan Chase
Just after announcing his resignation as U.S. attorney general, Eric Holder has accepted a top job with Wall Street finance giant JPMorgan Chase.
Starting in early November, Holder will serve as JPMorgan Chase’s chief compliance officer, where his responsibilities will include lobbying Congress on the company’s behalf and ensuring it “gets the best deal possible” from any new proposed financial regulations. Holder will also fetch morning coffee and breakfast orders for CEO Jamie Dimon and board members.
Granted, there’s nobody around so this will go largely unseen but there are times when one just has to vent. Christian Bakery Ordered to Pay $135,000 to Lesbian Couple

The lesbian couple turned away by a Gresham bakery that refused to make them a wedding cake for religious reasons should receive $135,000 in damages for their emotional suffering, a state hearings officer says.
Rachel Bowman-Cryer should collect $75,000 and her wife, Laurel Bowman-Cryer, $60,000 from the owners of Sweet Cakes by Melissa, an administrative law judge for the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries said in a proposed order released Friday, April 24.
“This is a proposed order and we view this matter as continuing to be active litigation,” Paul Thompson, a lawyer for the Bowman-Cryers, said.
Anna Harmon, one of three attorneys representing Aaron and Melissa Klein, said, “It’s a shocking result and it shows the state’s relentless campaign to punish Oregonians who live and work according to their faith.”

Gay Group Cancels Charity Because Gay Hotel Owners Spoke Well of Ted Cruz
On Thursday, April 23, an openly gay hotel owner remarked on his Facebook page that he had accepted the opportunity to speak with GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz about LGBT issues.
Only a few hours passed before militant gays began to attack the man for daring to even speak to Cruz. Now, a day later, a gay organization has actually canceled a charity event at the hotel over the conversation.
Of course: Facebook page calls for boycott of gay businessmen who hosted reception for Ted Cruz.

Thanks to Chrissy about her newest post regarding Dana Perino’s new book. W wasn’t perfect by any means. He often infuriated us when he didn’t defend himself against the 24/7 personal assaults launched against him because they didn’t manage to steal Florida in 2000. But there was never a doubt he loved the troops and they would walk through hell for him. I think the difference in attitude between somebody like the Bush presidents and Klintoon (Mogadishu) and Bam (Benghazi) is that some value life and know there are things worth fighting for. That’s why they both wore the uniform. On the other hand, you have two sociopaths who care about absolutely nothing beyond their own self interests.
Those of you who visit the garden regularly probably get tired of my constant whining about what I perceive as reality. Maybe I had an operation at some point that connected my optic nerve to my sphincter muscle that’s causing my shitty outlook on life. Aside from researching for things to post here I never read about anything political. It just doesn’t seem to matter much anymore. Once you understand how the game is played you can nearly always predict the outcome of any situation.

Politicians, liberals in particular, flout the laws we’re forced to live by at will without much fear of punishment.
The game is rigged. We finally got a majority in both the House and the Senate and nothing has changed. The GOIP elite don’t care if the democrats run the show as long as they get their cut.
Amnesty is an inevitability because the left needs the votes and the GOP’s money men at the Chamber of Commerce want the cheap labor.
The few conservatives willing to stand up for the people are quickly silenced or targeted by the media whores for ridicule and abuse.
I’ll concede most minorities may be decent people. It’s just that any time I see a headline about a murder, rape or armed robbery my initial thought, even before reading, is usually accurate. It’s cringeworthy to see the level of savagery that seems to be commonplace in many areas.
Things will never change. Once you get a majority of people accustomed to living on a basic subsistence without working, you have a captive electorate. Even with the alarming abortion rate in the black community there are still millions born into poverty to single mothers that will continue the cycle of ignorance and dependency. Add to that the tens of millions of illegals rushing across the border to take advantage of the things hard-working Americans have sacrificed so much for and the only logical conclusion is that we’ll never see another republican president again.
For the most part I will content myself with old westerns, watching my grandkids grow, and my regular Thursday breakfast with my cousin and uncles. I’m watching more baseball than I used to and am eagerly anticipating the upcoming NFL draft.

Normally this isn’t posted until after I’ve had my morning nap and scanned a bunch of rescources to find some interesting tidbits for you. I stopped after I finished delivering papers this morning at the local Steak and Shake, which is the only restaurant around us besides McD’s that’s open at 3:30 AM. There are two young girls who work there, a waitress and a cook. Most of the night business is drunks at the drive thru ordering some burgers. Not too much foot traffic, so they both come out and talk to me. They don’t have omelettes on the menu, but I talked the cook into making me one with bacon and cheese. It wasn’t bad, but then how do you screw up scrambled eggs? I’m still awake because I had three cups of coffee that was strong enough to strip paint. I’ll do what I can before I get tired, then finish after my nap. No promises.
Really late getting started today. The temperature is in the upper 70’s so I took my fat, pasty-white self along with my beloved child bride, got some sammiches and went to the local state park. It’s on a man-made lake my partner and I fish a lot (during the week)….weekends it’s jammed with people from the Chicago suburbs. We sat on a bench by the water and just enjoyed the day. It’s funny how things you always took for granted suddenly become more precious than gold when you realize the awesome gifts God had granted us.
