RE: THE VAL JAR GRAPHIC

There has been some discussion as to the authenticity of the graphic I posted Monday from Obama’s Muslim soulmate,ValJar. The truth is,I don’t know. As stated,it’s just something I picked up from Facebook. I do not operate as a professional news disseminator who,by the standard of ethics, should get something verified by two independent sources before publishing anything. Granted, the journalistic standard today is bash conservatives, even if you have to make things up and completely ignore the criminal acts of favored liberals. Watch how the Lyin’ Brian story is reported on any news outlet, save Fox News.

It may not seem like it,but I spend an awful lot of time poring over websites looking for things I feel may be of interest to you. As I have stated ad nauseum,I lack the skills of Chrissy,Grunt or Mindful. I can’t take several sources,as CtH does, and add graphics complete with bold print and italics. I can’t photoshop the way Grunt does in his unique personal style. I just do the best I can with what little I have. If it’s not enough,so be it.

VICTIM OF VEHICULAR VENDETTA

Ever had a love/hate relationship with a car? Did it seem like every payday, just like clockwork, the damn thing decide to break down at the most inopportune time? When I was in college I worked part time and got paid every 2 weeks. I had a 1960 Mercury comet. The engine had a cracked blocked,so we put in an engine from a Plymouth Valiant. It was a Comet/Valiant hybrid… Vomit for short. Every other Friday…dead battery, starter, alternator, timing chain, fan belt, flat tire. It was possessed by demons.

I’ve had my Ford POS for about a year. I had an issue with the starter sometimes making that zinging noise when I turned the key. Took it to my mechanic and he couldn’t get it to misbehave even once. It’s been OK since. Monday my doorlatch was frozen when I went to leave for work. Took it to the Merlins shyster around the block from my house. He thawed it out and put some gop on it. It worked about a dozen times yesterday morning, then the door wouldn’t close again. Took it to our mechanic yesterday and,you guessed it,he couldn’t get the latch to jam even once. I can sense it chuckling at me. Sometimes I hate my life.

SO HOW WAS YOUR WEEKEND?

We’ve been pretty fortunate around here this winter, but that all ended Saturday/Sunday. Our area got somewhere between 12-15″. The door latch on my Ford POS was frozen,so I had to take DW’s car to work this AM. She has an SUV with a 4 cylinder motor that is as useful in snow as teats on a boar hog. Got stuck twice going to work, once after I started my route,so I gave up and went home and got stuck in our as-yet-unplowed driveway. Finally got my car fixed and got the job finished this afternoon. Hopefully we won’t get blasted like that again this season.

No, this is NOT me.

THE FRIDAY NON-POLITICAL POST

It’s that time of the week that everyone who still works anticipates…..Friday! Get your paycheck, look at your bills and realize you worked the whole week for somebody else. Such is the price we pay for living in what at one time was the greatest country on earth.

OK,I started to wax political and I promised myself I wouldn’t. What I WILL do is post some of the laugh-out-loud funniest stuff I’ve been saving.

TALENT SHOW REVIEW AND REGULAR STUFF

Stupid machine is acting like a Malaysian Airlines jet…it keeps crashing. This probably won’t work, but I’ll give it a try.

Ever been to a grade school talent show? We went to our granddaughters’ show on Tuesday. It was actually better than I expected. It’s a pre-K through 8th grade Catholic school, so each class had a distinct uniform. The pre-k-kindergarten group sang along with a recording of the old Sunday School song, wise man/foolish man (built his house upon the sand). I’m sure they practiced doing all the gestures in unison, but one just stared off looking for his mom, and another girl who will be the class clown grinned and danced to the tune in her head. There were skits, a first-grader read jokes off her note cards, one kid did a hula hoop, one had several duck calls he demonstrated, and the biggest surprise was a boy from Miss Isabel’s fifth grade class who pulled a violin out and announced he was going to play Orange Blossom Special. I was ready to cringe, since there’s nothing as ear-splitting as someone on the violin when they don’t know how to play. Apparently he started years ago because he was really good.

Three 8thgraders were hosting the show and they gave away ‘Mary’ awards, named after the school, St. Mary’s, to teachers in appreciation. There were certificates for best musician, most helpful, athletic, most compassionate, etc. There was an award for best principal (the head honcho lady) and one for knowing the most about the Saints. The priest won that one. They even had an award for the best janitor (they only have one). One of the kids ran to get him and when he came into the auditorium the room erupted. They really love this little man.

I know this is boring, but there’s a point. The children were all quiet, patient and respectful. My stepdaughter, who I consider one of my own kids, teaches at a public school in another city but sends her kids to Catholic school, like many other teachers do. There’s a reason for that.

This video is a tragic example of what public school teachers are subjected to when faced with trying to teach violent, ignorant savages anything useful. The 62 year old teaher took away the 16 year old ninth grader’s phone and was pummeled. In my day, this would have been unthinkable. Sadly, if the man had tried to defend himself or fight back, the little darlins’ mama and her baby daddy would appear out of nowhere to sue the poor man and the school to get a chunk of money. Our educational system has been destroyed by the teachers’ unions and the democrats the unions and welfare leeches vote for perennially.

Apparently the video has been removed…use your imagination.

“It’s troubling that in our society today students think that inside a school they can put their hands on each other and teachers as well,” said Jonathan Hodges, a veteran school board member. “I went online trying to find this video and I found numerous videos of teachers being attacked by their students.”

SUPER BOWL COMMERCIALS

This is my fourth Super Bowl here with you. Every year I search for the best commercials since, let’s face it,a lot of non-football fans tune in just for the ads. I looked through a LOT of videos yesterday and, maybe I’m getting old and cranky, but there just weren’t as many really good ads as there usually are. There’s a gay commercial,a lesbian one,and a GoDaddy commercial where Danica Patrick is getting a massage while being hit on by another woman. I’m no prude, but it seemed there were a lot of scantily-clad women and suggestive advertising which didn’t seem appropriate for viewing by small children. It just seems to me that a lot of advertising executives take the age-old canard that sex sells and push the envelope as far as they think they dare.

Coca Cola has a couple ads that look like they’re taken from this BLR:

This is the one everybody is hyping as “too hot for TV”…I just think it’s stupid

I’m posting some more in the reply section.

SNOWMAGEDDON REDUX

To my bestest buddy CtH and all the lurkers who live in the northeast, thoughts and prayers for you surviving this challenge. To the rest of the liberals in the armpit of socialism who keep electing the likes of Chuck U. Schumer and Mayor Commiepinko Deblasio, piss on you. How’s that global warming working out for you? For being northeast of Chicago on the Illinois/Wisconsin border,we’ve been blessed with a fairly mild winter season so far. We had some freezing rain overnight and the streets were,as grandpa was fond of saying,’slicker than snot on a pump handle.’

Talking about the weather is preferable to having to talk about the national embarrassment/communist/narcissistic asshole who has dropped all pretense of caring for anyone but his muslim brothers.

Today’s post will be short, since I agreed to leave my station here to go with DW to a grade school talent show. Miss Isabel is in it,since she is a budding flautist. I think she should take up the guitar so she could be another Joan Jett or Lita Ford. I’m using the trip as an excuse to hit the White Castle in DeKalb since I’ve been Jonesing for a bag of sliders since forever.

IMAGINE A PRO-ABORTION RALLY THAT DREW A COUPLE HUNDRED THOUSAND PEOPLE. WOULD THE MSM MENTION IT?

OF COURSE THEY WOULD. A RALLY FOR LIFE? NOT SO MUCH.

Hundreds of Thousands of Pro-Lifers March for Life: Mourn 57 Million Abortions

Hundreds of thousands of pro-life people turned out for the annual March for Life in Washington, braving cold temperatures to take a stand for the right to life of unborn children. While marchers mourned 42 years of legalized abortion, many sounded a hopeful theme for a pro-life future and think the decision will eventually be reversed.

Unfortunately, you could rally tens of millions of people, but it only takes one idealogue wearing a black robe to negate the whole effort.

REGULAR STUFF PLUS GRANDMA UPDATE

I thought I’d do this since today is the March For Life in D.C.

It hardly seems possible, but our very own Bluebird has officially been a grandma for 12 days. I feel fairly confident in stating that she and all the other relatives are well on the way to spoiling this little one rotten.

10923590_10204799357242067_7071388367384623994_n

Stop and ponder for a moment that 12 days ago the president would have had no problem seeing this little life ended. If that doesn’t infuriate you I don’t know what else to say.

THE NIGHT OF A THOUSAND LIES

To those of you who had the stomach strong enough to watch snake oil show last night, more power to you. As I read elsewhere this morning,I didn’t watch the Kenyan for the same reason I don’t shove porcupines up my butt… it’s an incredibly stupid thing to do. There are plenty of videos today since mere words cannot do justice to the rank hypocrisy and blatant lies  that flew like snowflakes in a blizzard.

John Fund summed it up pretty succinctly:

Obama’s ‘Free Stuff for Everyone’ Speech
By John Fund
A pollster at last week’s GOP congressional retreat summarized the proposals President Obama is making tonight as “free stuff for everyone.” Indeed, on everything from enhanced child-care tax credits to free community college the president was in a Santa Claus kind of mood in this month after Christmas. All of the proposals enjoy majority support in polls — although that support tends to fall after people weigh the price tag.

Take paid sick leave. Obama mentioned that wherever the issue was on the ballot this fall it passed when people voted on it. But he was careful not to mention that the only state where it was on the ballot was Massachusetts. Yes, the state that hasn’t sent a single Republican to the U.S. House in 20 years and consistently votes Democratic for president by about ten points more than the rest of the country. Question 4, the Massachusetts ballot measure that mandated paid sick leave in the state, did pass but with only 60 percent of the vote — meaning that after a real debate the issue might be an even split nationwide.

Republicans need to make a sustained argument that paid sick leave is yet another mandate on small- and medium-sized businesses that they can ill afford just as they are being buffeted by the gales of Obamacare.

WE SEEM TO HAVE A CELEBRITY IN OUR MIDST; OUR INIMITABLE GRUNT WAS PUBLISHED AT THE EARL OF TAINT:

Ol’ Flat Balls, Yep.

(I’m not watching his lyin’ ass, fyi.)

From a pic and idea sended in by my doublegood pal the Grunt. Hope I caught the essence of the man. Not Grunt, Obama.
