On Labor Day, CNN will air The Reagan Show, a new film bashing the 40th president. In case you thought it would be anything other than hostile, the ads make the goal clear. A clip of Reagan saying, “Together we will make America great again,” is paired with a blurb from the website Screen Daily: “An elaborately constructed parable for the Trump era.”

A Study in Contrasts

The media despise Donald Trump. Always will. There hasn’t been a lot of positive said about how he’s handled the disasters in Texas, but anything positive would only be grudgingly given. He visited again yesterday on his way to Louisiana. The spirit, the courage, the love for your neighbor has been undeniable from the beginning. Pettiness and prejudices have been set aside, since everyone shares the suffering equally.

In stark contrast, Barack Obama would not deign to cut his vacation in Martha’s Vineyard short just last year when Louisiana suffered massive floods. He said “he was monitoring the situation closely.” As usual, the media mostly gave him a pass.

This is a national day of prayer. Rejoice and be glad in it.



President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump took time on Saturday to visit flood victims in Houston, Texas and Louisiana. It was their second trip to the flood damaged region.

In 2016, Obama sent out a letter lecturing flood victims about racism.  The Washington Times reported:

“President Obama has refused so far to survey the Louisiana flood disaster, but he did let state and local officials know that he’s watching to make sure they don’t engage in racial discrimination.

“In a 16-page guidance issued Tuesday, the Obama administration, led by the Justice Department, warned Louisiana recipients of federal disaster assistance against engaging in ‘unlawful discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin (including limited English proficiency).’”


It was just one year ago, August 2016. Massive flooding in Louisiana damaged or destroyed 60,700 homes in the state, 102,000 people registered for federal assistance, 13 people lost their life.

Where was President Obama? On a 16-day vacation on Martha’s Vineyard. He decided to finish up his vacation rather than cut it short and visit the devastated region. Take a look at these articles from 2016.

Trump praises ‘cooperation and coordination’ after he and Melania swing by Texas and Louisiana to visit thousands made homeless by Hurricane Harvey

Donald and Melania Trump flew out of Joint Air Base Andrews in Washington at around 9.30 on Saturday.  They arrived in Houston in the early afternoon and went straight to the NRG Stadium to meet evacuees.

Melania, who received criticism for the glamorous outfit she chose to travel to Texas in earlier in the week, was defiant with her wardrobe choices on Saturday.  She first emerged from the White House in a $1590 Ralph Lauren dress and $650 pair of Manolo Blahnik heels before changing on board Air Force One into a denim shirt, jeans and sneakers.

After spending time with evacuees at the stadium, the pair went on to a church in Pearland where Trump heaped praise on Texas governor Greg Abbott and congratulated him on doing a ‘terrific job’ since Harvey hit.

Trump Asks Congress For Nearly $8 Billion To Help Fund Harvey Rescue Effort

President Donald Trump asked Congress Friday night for $7.8 billion to help those left in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Harvey, which pelted parts of Texas with near-Biblical amounts of rain.

Trump’s request was significantly larger than what many experts had expected, as some Congressional sources believed the administration would ask for at least $5.5 billion. The bulk of the funds would go to the Federal Emergency Management Agency, but the request also etched out $450 million for the Small Business Administration.

President Trump Thanks National Guard and Cajun Navy in Louisiana for their Service

All Hail the Cajun Navy and their meal counterpart — Cajun Gravy

Using social media and the Zello walkie talkie app, Cajun Navy members were able to locate and deploy to those needing rescue.

But the navy isn’t the only band of volunteers sent by our sister state Louisiana. A caravan of meal-makers, going by “Cajun Gravy” showed up to do what they do best — feed people, and first responders in particular.

While Louisiana’s Cajun Navy is hard at work rescuing Texans from the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, The Cajun Gravy is making sure first responders are well fed. The Cajun Gravy is cooking up famous Louisiana dishes, including things like jambalaya and red beans and rice.

Thursday afternoon, they were operating out of Orange, Texas at a temporary housing location for about 1,000 first responders. Among those being served are Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries agents, Louisiana and Texas National Guard members, strike teams, and water rescue personnel.

A group of Louisiana cooks from the cities of Baton Rouge, Gonzales, and Donaldsonville formed the group after seeing the devastation left behind by Hurricane Harvey. One of the founders, Kyle Rome, owns Kickstands Kitchen, a catering company in Ascension Parish.

I wrote a real nice post on general subjects yesterday, and when I hit the “post” button, the gods of WordPress must have been hungry because they ate it. Gone. Never to be seen again. Even the all-seeing, all-knowing Bluebird couldn’t find it. Hopefully the beast’s hunger has been sated and this one will survive.

Being the most intelligent people on the planet, the readers of this blog know that DACA stands for ‘Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals,’ or DREAM act for those less informed. This was another dirty trick by the mulatto asshat known as Barack Obama. It continued his streak of never doing anything that had a positive benefit for the country, only harming it.

Loophole Allowed Over A Thousand DACA Recipients To Receive Citizenship


THIS WAS A BLATANT ATTEMPT AT LEGALIZING AS MANY ILLEGALS AS HE COULD… MORE VOTERS, MORE DEMOCRATS
The figures released indicate that 2,181 DACA recepients that have received green cards have applied for citizenship and 1,056 of these have successfully become citizens.
The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program was started by former President Barack Obama in 2012 and has protected roughly 800,000 illegal immigrants from deportation and granted them work permits. Trump vowed on the campaign trail to end the program and will make an announcement Tuesday on DACA’s future.
The Dreamers were all part of DACA, the legally questionable amnesty program that’s under scrutiny right now as President Trump decides whether to scrap the Obama-era amnesty.
The House and Senate Judiciary Committees revealed that more than 45,000 DACA recipients were approved for “advance parole,” which is permission to leave and reenter the U.S. despite not being in permanent legal status here.
But under a quirk of law, those granted advance parole can then ask to adjust their status and gain legal residence — and eventually citizenship — as long as they have a qualifying relationship.
The Obama administration had seemed intent on keeping the data secret, refusing to answer requests from Congress. The Trump administration complied.

About those “massive job losses” if DACA ends
The staggering numbers on display are sure to send a shock wave through the nation’s economy because a new “report” projects that the end of DACA would result in job losses in excess of the population of some smaller island nations.
Holy Guacamole, Batman! 700K jobs lost? An additional 30K per month after that? Almost half a trillion in lost economic output? Why, that’s pretty much the entry point to a new great recession. Except that you need to consider both the source of this “report” and what it is that they’re actually talking about.
First of all, Fortune is citing a paper from the Center for American Progress, which is essentially an unofficial arm of the Democratic National Committee. It was founded by John Podesta and the front page of their web site is nothing but one article after another about how horrible Trump is and why the Social Justice Warriors should just be allowed to reorganize society as they please.

Presidential Pardons

Last month, Joe Arpaio was convicted by a federal judge of CRIMINAL CONTEMPT.

He had been issued a court order to stop traffic patrols that the court alleged were designed to target illegal immigrants. Arpaio said the traffic patrols were not aimed at Hispanics and that he had done nothing wrong in continuing them. The only person being targeted was Sheriff Arpaio and President Trump was RIGHT to pardon him.

The Obama Legacy

The amount of havoc and destruction intentionally caused by the former muslim-in-chief is immeasurable. President Trump can undo some of the harm caused through executive order — doing away with onerous regulations, undoing the blatant land grabs and climate fraud and rebuilding our military. He is nominating many constitutionalist judges but he can do nothing about the ones Obama inserted like legal suppositories, thanks to the gone and forgotten Harry Reid. These judges will haunt our legal system for years to come.

Obama-appointed Judge Nelva Gonzales Ramos struck down the Texas voter ID law on Wednesday that requires ID’s to vote. Judge Ramos believes it is racist to believe blacks and Hispanics are able to fill out paperwork and purchase an ID card.

Earlier this year the Trump-Sessions DOJ asked a federal court to dismiss the department’s earlier claim that the ID law was enacted with the intention of discriminating against minority voters.

Americans need ID cards to function successfully in society.
But Democrats love their voter fraud.
A federal court judge in Texas struck down the state’s voter ID law on Wednesday, ruling it had a discriminatory intent and effect against Hispanic and black voters.

State Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye, who has previously condemned Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations at court facilities, said Tuesday she has a duty to call out federal agents who arrest illegal immigrants in or near the California’s courthouses.
“If no one ever speaks out, then we can never be the land of the free and the home of the brave,” Cantil-Sakauye said at a panel discussion hosted by state Sen. Hannah-Beth Jackson, according to the Sacramento Bee.

Court blocks major pipeline approvals, says feds didn’t consider ‘climate change’
A federal court has halted a major natural gas pipeline project from being built on grounds that federal regulators did not consider the “carbon emissions that the pipelines will make possible.”
The lawsuit was odd given at least some of the natural gas would have been used to retire older, coal-fired power plants. Natural gas emits less carbon dioxide than coal when burned for energy, and lowering U.S. CO2 emissions is ostensibly a goal of the environmental movement.
Judge Janice Brown countered in her dissenting opinion that FERC did not have to consider the effects a pipeline might have on global warming because that was the purview of other federal and state agencies.
Brown pointed out that FERC could approve a pipeline, but it had no power to approve the power plant that took the gas.
Brown wrote “the truth is that FERC has no control over whether the power plants that will emit these greenhouse gases will come into existence or remain in operation.”

New Gov’t Regulations Absolutely Plummet Under Trump
In the first half of 2017, the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs has processed some 67 regulatory actions, ranging from notices to final rules. During the first six months of former President Barack Obama’s first term, the department coursed through three times as many, processing 216 regulatory actions.
New regulations spiked even more under former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton. The Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs processed 310 under Bush and a whopping 993 under Clinton.

Donald Addresses the Scouts

The president addressed more than 40,000 members of the Boy Scouts at their National Jamboree. He was met with a wildly enthusiastic throng and he was in his element. Of course, he pisses a lot of people off no matter what he does. As a former scout, I’m going to go out on a limb and predict that a very large majority of those attending yesterday come from two-parent homes, don’t take government handouts, don’t commit rapes or armed robberies, and are more likely to volunteer for military service. Liberals despise them because they grow into that most dreaded of all terrorist groups, the white middle class.

Obama never addressed the organization once. The left is howling this morning about Trump turning his speech into a political rally. Never mind the fact that anytime a democrat gets in trouble he runs to the nearest black mega-church for solace and a pep rally. Obama did it all the time because he was looked on as some sort of deity.

My personal experience with the scouts was a happy one. Our troop was sponsored by a Methodist church and the farm across the road belonged to one of their members. About 1962 they held their first corn boil as a fundraiser. We were the hired hands. I had to show the others how to go out into the massive cornfield and pick sweet corn by hand: grip the ear where it is attached to the stalk, pull down, a quick twist and it comes loose. Always make sure the husk is very tight, not spongy. That means the kernels are filled out. If you pull the husk down a little, and pierce a kernel with your thumbnail, the white, starchy liquid should squirt to your knuckle. That means it has a good sugar content. That was more than 50 years ago and they still hold the event every August.

One of our assistant scoutmasters had a big farm with some woods and a creek running through it. We made a campground on it and built a dam across the creek to make the water deep enough for a swimming hole. (Can you imagine kids swimming in a creek these days?) We camped at least once a month to work on nature projects and had a really stupid idea to go on a Polar Bear camp-out in the dead of winter. We only came out of our tents to eat and have a massive snowball fight daily. I hit my friend Louis in the head with a slushball and he went down like a bag of wet cement. I ran screaming back to camp because I thought I had killed Louie. Ah, those were good times.

Flashback: Democratic Delegates Boo The Boy Scouts Of America

Democrats are all atwitter over Trump’s speech to the Boy Scouts, claiming that he talked politics or made them cheer like Hitler Youth.  Here’s how hypocritical they are. They used politics all over the Boy Scouts, but booed them and attacked them.

LOS ANGELES When Gloria Johnson learned that a group of Eagle Scouts was about to take the stage at the Democratic National Convention, she immediately went into action.
She and other California delegates grabbed poster board and markers and made signs that read, “We Support Gay Boy Scouts.” As the uniformed Scouts took part in the opening ceremony, the delegates, seated in the front of the hall, waved their signs and booed.

Under normal circumstances, jeering at children is the sort of behavior that might get a delegate sanctioned, if not booted from the convention altogether. But anyone who expected the Democratic leadership to scold people bashing the Boy Scouts of America was attending the wrong convention.

I am withdrawing my son from your organization next year. You should all be ashamed.’
