December 2013 saw 74,000 new jobs added to the American economy.
Economists had expected December 2013 would produce a minimum of 120,000 new jobs.
American businesses need to add 200,000 new jobs each month just to keep pace with population growth.

At 8:00 a.m. on January 10, 2014, the White House crowed about how many jobs had been created on their watch.
Three minutes later, Senate Democrat leader Harry Reid shook his finger at Republicans for stalling on extending unemployment benefits.
Do these people talk to each other?
So how is it … if the economy produced way fewer jobs than needed just to keep unemployment even, the “Unemployment Rate” number somehow dropped from 7.0% to 6.7%?
Simple. The “Unemployment Rate” is a phony statistic that totally ignores those who have given up hope.
Any media report crowing about Obama’s economic recovery is lying to cover his Democrat butt.
The media are salivating over the possible rhetorical lynching of what some have called the presumptive(their words,not mine) republican opponent to Hillary!. I WILL find an appropriate term for this she-beast in the course of time.
Apparently one of his top aides ordered two lanes of the George Washington Bridge going into Ft. Lee closed for four days last fall. This was supposedly in retaliation for the democrat mayor of Ft. Lee not endorsing Christie in his reelection. There were massive backups and an ambulance was delayed getting to a hospital where the 91 year old patient died. There was no direct proof the traffic jam was the causal factor.
The media have been in full feeding frenzy all day,salivating at the chance to clear the way for the Butcher of Benghazi. They rejected out of hand his denial of any knowledge of this as readily as they accept every lie their idol spews about not knowing anything about anything.

She counters that it must be politically correct, because the party is sponsoring the contest and “There was no way the party could be wrong on anything.”
Ideological purity is nothing new and The Anchoress is correct to point out that the we have our own narrow-minded purists on our side as well. I expect every group has them. I’ve certainly seen it in my Catholic experience.
On the right, a man who refused to sit with his family at Christmas Mass, because that side of the church would be receiving Eucharist from a lay minister and he only took it from the priest.
On the left, a nun who refused to give Eucharist to a war veteranbecause he had carried a gun into battle and, in her mind, that made him guilty of mortal sin.*

The Anchoress’ article is a review of an op-ed in US News and World Report entitled “The Catholic Supreme Court’s War on Women.” The specific issue I find particularly interesting is that while the Left is unsurprisingly outraged at Sotomayor’s siding with the nuns, the outrage expressed in this particular screed is based entirely on the premise that she’s doing it because …. gasp …. she’s a CATHOLIC. [Cue creepy music and fog machine.]
The Anchoress has a way with words. I especially like this summation of the op-ed: “bigotry intent on fomenting paranoia.” Also, “Are not the women who serve the indigent poor as entitled to justice as anyone else? Do Justice and Mercy only trend in one direction, in Stiehm’s world? Are they only rewarded to the socially obedient? Oh, my! Steihm sounds exactly like what she imagines the church to be:an entity demanding only one’s strict and unthinking obedience. Funny how easily we can become precisely the thing we hate, isn’t it?”
Sorry, but I cannot help myself. We cannot have freedom without an unbiased media. In most oppressed countries I know of, the media was forced into dishing propaganda for the dictator du jour. Here, they chose it. And it makes me so angry, I could just spew.

I truly believe that the Left is dragging souls into Hell; therefore, I feel I have a responsibility to God to reach them with the truth. In order to do this well, I must stay in prayer and remember always that God loves these lost sheep with a passion I cannot begin to fathom.

In other words, in his opinion, our First Amendment right to freedom of religion is subject to the government’s approval. December 19, 2013: The White House announced it will grant a “hardship exemption” for people who have had their prior coverage canceled and believe that Obamacare’s offerings are unaffordable.Note: This isn’t insurance. It’s just an exemption from the FINE for not having insurance. But, oh goodie, Obama is encouraging health insurers to make up bare bones options for these people … which the guy in this video says aren’t affordable either.
So … those people we have heard about?The ones with cancer, MS and other devastating illness who WERE getting the care they wanted but have had their health insurance plans eliminated by Obamacrat Decree? THOSE people are STILL SCREWED … and the individual health insurance market is in chaos.

Keep in mind that this was based on research done prior to 1996. If you’d read this, the only thing that would have surprised you about Dr. Gosnell’s horror show is that it finally got exposed and he actually got convicted and sent to prison.
If you don’t need your consciousness raised about this issue, you might want to give this book a pass. I had to skip some stuff, because it was so difficult. And I’ve never gotten some of the images out of my mind. E.g., one abortion survivor told Crutcher how the abortionist who sucked her tiny child out of her womb did so while eating a tuna fish sandwich.
However, if you’ve got someone in your life who thinks Gosnell was an aberration and Democrats are pro-woman, this might be just what you need to kill the kool-aid.
