McCabe was previously the deputy FBI director and following President Trump’s dismissal of James Comey, he will be in charge of the nation’s preeminent law enforcement agency. The White House said Tuesday that the search for a new FBI director will begin immediately.
Until the administration finds this director, a man strongly connected to the Democratic Party will be in charge. The Democratic Virginia governor’s PAC donated $467,500 to McCabe’s wife Jill McCabe’s 2015 state Senate campaign. The Virginia Democratic Party also spent a little over $200,000 on the campaign.
The now-acting FBI director’s wife lost the campaign to the Republican incumbent. After the Wall Street Journal reported these findings, then-candidate Trump said, “We’ve never had a thing like this in the history of this country.”

The private university announced Wednesday that Martin’s parents, Sabrina Fulton and Tracy Martin, will accept a bachelor of science degree in aeronautical science with a concentration in flight education on behalf of their son.
The degree is in “honor of the steps he took during his young life toward becoming a pilot,” the school said in a Facebook post. Florida Memorial’s Department of Aviation and Safety has a designated Cessna pilot training center, and the school also houses the Trayvon Martin Foundation. It is based in Miami Gardens, where Trayvon Martin lived with his father.

Trump To Sign Executive Order That Allows Churches To Endorse Political Candidates
Donald Trump will mark the National Day of Prayer by signing an executive order that scales back the restrictions placed on churches that prevent them from being politically active in order to maintain their tax-exempt status.
BEING POLITICALLY ACTIVE HAS NEVER BEEN A PROBLEM FOR BLACK CHURCHES. THEY GET AWAY WITH ANYTHING.
The order directs the Internal Revenue Service to use “maximum enforcement discretion” over the amendment, but it also gives religious organizations “regulatory relief” from an Obama administration mandate that required them to provide their employees with health coverage that included contraception.
Trump promised repeatedly throughout the campaign to “destroy” the Johnson Amendment because he believes it threatens the freedom of religion. However, it would require an act of Congress to completely repeal the amendment.
“I will get rid of and totally destroy the Johnson Amendment and allow our representatives of faith to speak freely and without fear of retribution,” Trump said just days after he took office at the National Prayer Breakfast.

Democratic Rep. Ted Lieu (Calif.) is pushing a resolution to designate May 4 as the National Day of Reason as a response to the National Day of Prayer.
Lieu thanked Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) and Reps. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.), Zoe Lofgren (D-Calif.) and Humanists for Climate Action on Twitter for supporting his resolution to recognize “the importance of reason in the betterment of humanity.”

Despite the 90+% negative, often vicious, media coverage of Trump’s first 100 days, a recent Washington Post/ABC News poll shows a significantly higher degree of voter regret among Clinton voters than among Trump voters.
When asked who they would vote for if the election were held today, 96% of Trump voters said they would vote for Trump again, while only 85% of Clinton voters said they would vote for Clinton again.
In other words, if the election were held today, Trump would win both the electoral and the popular votes.

Congress agrees on $1 trillion deal to fund government until October 1

The hard-won deal could be the first major piece of bipartisan legislation to be pushed through Congress since President Trump took office, and would provide billions of dollars for the Pentagon — but would not provide funds for his ballyhooed Mexican wall.

Unlike Rickles, Minaj is no “Mr. Warmth.” At least based on audience reaction, his dragging, staccato-like delivery left many barbs hanging in midair, leaving listeners wondering when they would drop. And to make matters worse, by taking multiple shots at non-attendees, both living and dead, Minaj’s quips quickly veered off into the offensive. This became most evident when the comedian evoked none other than Rickles himself, who died just over three weeks ago:
“Don Rickles died just so you wouldn’t ask him to do this gig, alright? RIP to Don Rickles, the only Donald with skin thick enough to take a joke like that.”

I STUMBLED ACROSS THIS TRASH WHILE CHANNEL SURFING ONCE. TOOK ALL OF FOUR SECONDS TO FIGURE OUT ‘BEE’ WAS SHORT FOR BEE-OTCH.
“I do the show for me and for people like me, and I don’t really care how others see it, quite frankly…. We need catharsis, a place to analyze things in a different way. we see things through a different filter. We just need to break it down.”
That lack of ability to consider another point of view could explain her answer to the question, “Is there a smug liberal problem?”
