Inequality Godzilla

You’re going to start seeing this in photoshops and cartoons and on t-shirts and bumper stickers soon, so I thought I’d let you know ahead of time where it originated.

Excerpt from Senator Mike Lee’s SOTU response – January 28, 2014

Real inequality is trapping poor children in failing schools to benefit bureaucrats and union bosses. It’s penalizing low-income parents for getting married, or getting better jobs.

It’s guaranteeing insurance companies taxpayer bailouts if Obamacare cuts into their profits.

Inequality is blocking thousands of middle-class jobs in the energy industry as a favor to partisan donors and radical environmental activists.

Inequality is denying viable, unborn children any protection under the law, while exempting unsanitary, late-term abortion clinics from basic safety standards.

It’s denying citizens their right to define marriage in their states as traditionally or as broadly as their diverse values dictate.

It’s the federal government hurting rural communities, especially in the west, by controlling and mismanaging public lands.

It’s changing laws without congressional approval, and spying on American citizens without constitutional authority.

And of course, Obamacare – all by itself – is an inequality Godzilla that has robbed working families of their insurance, their doctors, their wages and their jobs. Many Americans are now seeing why some of us fought so hard to stop this train-wreck over the last four years.

Government-driven inequality is the reason why, as hard-working families across the country struggle to make ends meet, six of the ten wealthiest counties in America are now suburbs of Washington, D.C.

Throughout the last five years, President Obama has promised an economy for the middle class; but all he’s delivered is an economy for the middle-men.

And tonight his party cheered as he asked for more of the same, as if the solution to inequality were … well … more inequality.

Grade schooler demonstrates value of ORGANIC

Sheesh! You have got to watch this.

UPDATE: A Facebook friend added this link to my post of the video. Good research, Cindy!

Have Sweet Potatoes Been Sprayed with Bud Nip?

“I’ve been in the sweet potato business for 30+ years; I’ve never heard that sweet potatoes are sprayed with Bud Nip,” said Johnson-Langdon. Indeed, Bud Nip is registered to be use in potatoes only, not sweet potatoes; we haven’t found any documentation to show that Bud Nip is registered to be used in sweet potatoes!

Obamacare vs The Affordable Care Act

Jimmy Kimmel reveals how stupid the American public really is [4:01]

A constitutional republic cannot survive without a well-informed public.

Those who want the United States of America to fail have always known this.

That’s why they targeted education, starting back in the mid-20th century, Left-ifying the colleges that were training teachers and journalists.

And that is why we now have a huge population of “sheeple” voters who believe whatever the Left-dominated, Democrat Talking Points pushing, Mainstream media outlets tell them to believe.

Lefting the hearts and minds of your kids

The federal government is shoving the “Common Core” curriculum into schools. Below is a real assignment from a 6th grade class in Bryant School District in Arkansa. The assignment says, “You have been selected to work on a National Revised Bill of Rights Task Force. You have been charged with the task of revising and editing the Bill of Rights. .. You will have to prioritize, prune, and add amendments.”

Common Core Revise the Bill of Rights

These students have not been taught what the Constitution or the Bill of Rights mean or how they came to be. They have not been taught to appreciate their remarkable and extraordinary place in the history of world governments or how well they have worked for more than two centuries. They have also not been taught the mechanism provided by the Constitution for properly amending the Constitution.

The child whose mother posted this assignment said her daughter had no idea what the amendments meant or why the class had been assigned to throw out two old ones and invent two new ones. She only knew she’d been told to do it, so she had to do it. Oddly, the assignment reassures students that it’s okay to disagree; however, they cannot complete the assignment unless and until every single person assigned to their committee agrees!

Meanwhile, an AP American History review book presents a faux version of the Constitution.

I’m for more guns, thank you very much

2013: Twelve people were gunned down on a Navy base by a well-armed BAD GUY because the GOOD GUYS had no way to stop him.

1993: President Clinton barred members of the military, including officers, from carrying firearms on military bases.

Everybody in the military is not only vetted and well-trained in the use of firearms, but also has taken a solemn oath to put their own lives on the line to protect and defend others.

But they aren’t allowed to carry firearms on base?!?!

Gun control laws are not about reducing gun violence.

They are about disarming law-abiding citizens.

In 1976, Washington, D.C. imposed the strictest gun control law in the nation.

It prohibited anyone other than law-enforcement officers from carrying a firearm in the city. Residents were even barred from keeping guns in their homes for self-defense.

By disarming law-abiding citizens, lawmakers EMBOLDENED criminals!

  • DC homicides in 1975: 188
  • DC homicides in 1988: 369
  • DC homicides in 1993: 454.

In 2011, the state with the strongest gun control laws had more than THREE times the gun murder rate of the state with the weakest gun control laws. In DC, it was TWELVE times higher.

CALIFORNIA: Strongest Gun Control State 3.25 gun murders per 100,000 people.

UTAH: Weakest Gun Control Law State: 0.97 gun murders per 100,000 people.

WASHINGTON D.C.: Model Gun Control City: 12 gun murders per 100,000 people.

2011 Gun control laws increase gun violence

Clearly, people are going to have guns no matter how much you tell them it’s wrong, so let’s junk all that useless legislation and focus on teaching our young people to use their guns safely and responsibly.

We could start in elementary school with age-appropriate lessons about how you should not let anyone make you feel bad about your trigger finger but that you should never point a gun at anyone until you’re really ready.

Older kids would learn what the parts of a gun look like and how to clean, oil, assemble and safely carry one’s weapon. This would naturally include a lesson on how to properly rubber-band a condom on the barrel to keep water out. (For the sake of the children of gun-prudish Progressives, we could have the condom part demonstrated with a banana instead of a real gun.)

There would also be field trips to gun stores to see the wonderful array of possibilities that await the eager buyer as soon as s/he comes of age, plus assemblies where members of law enforcement, the military and the hunting and competitive shooting communities would come to talk about firearms.

Every high school would have a firing range and passing the gun safety, maintenance and shooting skills class would be mandatory before graduation unless the child’s parents filed a protest with the courts citing their rights under the Constitution to raise their children according to their absurd gun-prudish moral codes.

We could start somewhere small … say Washington, D.C. … and watch what happens to those gun crimes statistics. You know, the way they did with Charter Schools.

Think of the children, for goodness sake

Christianity has done more for science than atheism ever could By Matt Walsh

The new Common Core “Next Generation” science standards … call for a renewed emphasis on man-caused climate change and, of course, evolution. Evolution — atheistic, nihilistic, materialistic, mindless evolution — must be taught as fact, without other ideas presented to compete with the theory.

Too often Christians cede “science” to the atheist and shrink away from his challenges, backing off in defeat while muttering something about “faith” and “belief.” “Well, you might have your fancy science books, but I’ve got faith.”

Yes, faith and belief are important, but you, my Christian compatriot, are standing on the Mountain of Truth. You have the high ground. YOU have the facts and the science on your side.

Your faith does NOT conflict with science. Christianity built this civilization; your Christian ancestors are the pioneers behind the greatest advancements in many fields of study.

You’d be hard pressed to find a single bit of modern scientific knowledge that wasn’t discovered, or heavily influenced by, the work of devout Christians.

Our understanding of the universe deepened so profoundly during the Christian era because of the Christian tradition that brought a sense of order and rationality to the universe.

Really, we must get atheism away from education before we all end up like the modern atheist’s greatest prophet, Nietchsze, who died insane and naked, eating his own feces in a mental institution. This is not the sort of fate we should wish upon our children.
