One for Bluebird

As some of the long-timers here are aware, our beloved Bluebird is a big fan of critters of the feline persuasion. It’s about time for something to peruse besides the depressing political garbage, which I’m just about done with. So I thought I’d post some funny kitty stuff just for a change.

Snappy Snapchats

In full disclosure, I have no idea what a snapchat is. Or an instagram. Or a reddit.
I do not have a cell phone and I’ve never sent a text message.
My daughter set up my Facebook page, but I don’t check it every 5 minutes to see what’s new.
I’ve lived more than 66 years without taking a picture of myself… I know what I look like.
I don’t tweet… or twit…. or twerk(ugh) or whatever you call it.

However I did come across some cute snapchats, if that’s what you call them.

Sunday Funnies

The second presidential debate is tonight. Actually, it will be another brow-beating interrogation of Donald Trump. My prediction is that it will take .003 seconds before either Martha Redass or Gloria Vanderbilt’s queer grandson will attack Trump for saying the word ‘pussy’ in a private conversation 11 years ago. Not a word will be mentioned about The Bloody Bitch of Benghazi routinely referring to her husband’s sexual assault victims as trailer trash, bimbos, whores, and skanks.
What the hell, it won’t be long before it won’t matter any more anyway.

Baby Blues

Just sitting here looking up stuff to post later. I surely trust Bluebird is exercising her grandmotherly rights to spoil that little grandson rotten. They are truly a gift from God.
Try on a few smiles on a rainy Friday morning.

Saturday Smiles

There’s plenty of things to post today, but RJ’s last 8th grade football game is this morning. Two of the granddaughters are in a fastpitch softball league tomorrow. There’s nothing I’d rather do than spend a beautiful fall day with my little ones.
THOUGHT THESE WERE CUTE

The Joys of Wedded Bliss

In an act of selflessness reminiscent of Florence Nightingale, Mahatma Ghandi, and Mother Theresa, I gave my wife the comforter that the ladies at Bluebird’s church had made for me. It is a little frayed around the edges, but I sleep under it every night. It is one of my most cherished possessions. Just because I love my wife with all my heart (and I’m more than a little afraid of her) I made the supreme sacrifice. She needed to get out of the house and wanted some new books, since she’s a voracious reader. We went to Walmart and as we were approaching the store some kid about 12 or 13 rode out the main entrance on an electric scooter and headed toward the grocery entrance like it was a go-kart. I yelled at him to stop and told him it was intended for handicapped people and not a toy. He was so stunned at being scolded, I’m guessing, that he got off of it. I rode it back to the store and plugged it in. In a perverse way, I was hoping this little prick’s parent(s) would try to find me to cuss me out for scolding their little precious. With the mood I’ve been in for awhile, I would have made it clear what I thought of their parenting skills.

‘Wikileaks’ Releases Video and Secret Dialog Between Trump and Mexican President Pena-Nieto

Mex1j.jpg

To view a larger size, go here. Idea for graphic stolen from federal wiretaps of Hardnox’s phone conversations.  As for commentary about the actual trip to Mexico and the rousing speech in Phoenix upon return to the US, see Pete’s comments below, or those of Diann Russell beginning here:

Patriot Retort – I just finished watching Donald Trump’s immigration speech from Phoenix last night, and all I can say is, wow! It was excellent.

Trump didn’t just give a dry, boring, wonkish policy speech.  Instead, he delivered this speech with his trademark excitement and enthusiasm to an equally excited and enthusiastic crowd.  Yesterday was a yuge day for Mr. Trump and one that could very well be the turning point in this election.

You know how I know?  Because the Left is having a collective freak-out over all of it — his trip to Mexico, his speech in Arizona. All of it.  The louder they scream and the harder they clutch their pearls, the more certain I am that Trump hit a home run yesterday.  Read the entire essay at the Patriot Retort.

Water we supposed to do about this?

From The Duffel Blog (which we’re beginning to suspect is all wet).

WASHINGTON — The US government has raised its terror warning status this week after the FBI issued a warning that the terror group ISIS may have access to the chemical dihydrogen monoxide (DHMO), and may be preparing to use it in attacks on US soil.

Sources say the group has used the substance to launch probing attacks on multiple US coastal cities. A recent attack in Louisiana has destroyed thousands of homes, although ISIL has not yet claimed responsibility.

“We’re doing everything we can to dry up their supply of DHMO,” said FBI Director James Comey. “We’ve been inundated by a flood of information in the past twenty-four hours, and we hope some of that will trickle down into actionable intelligence.”

Already, numerous drone strikes have been launched against suspected DHMO storage facilities, but thus far they have “barely made a ripple,” say Central Intelligence Agency sources.

The FBI has warned Americans to avoid drinking from public taps, as they may have been saturated with DHMO by ISIL sleeper cells.

Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter says his anger “is boiling over, as in recent years Congress has siphoned off the resources designed to ebb such a threat.”

“We no longer have a well of funding specifically designed to dam the flow of DHMO streaming out of the Middle East,” said Carter. “And without those resources, they’re using it to really mop the floor with us.”

As to how vast ISIL’s DHMO supply actually is, Carter suspects they have “oceans of it.” According to analysts, he says, they have so much that they are “literally drowning in it.”

“Whether we’re able to get to the bottom of this,” says Carter, “really depends on which way the tide turns.”
