A Vegetarian’s Nightmare or A Dissertation on Plants Rights
I rear-ended a car this morning…the start of a REALLY bad day!
The driver got out of the other car, and he was a DWARF!!
He looked up at me and said ‘I am NOT Happy!’
So I said, ‘Well, which one ARE you then?’
That’s how the fight started.

Thanksgiving is far and away the heaviest day in the newspaper delivery business. It is an ode to our unexpurgated greed, as we give thanks for our blessings just before we push and shove to get an iPad that’s on sale for cheap. The Chicago Tribunes I deliver will have about 1200 pages, including the news and the sale ads. This will be my fourth year and I still dread it. To top it off, I started coming down sick Monday and it’s gotten progressively worse. There is every possibility DW will make the trek to her daughter’s house for the holiday while I dine on chicken soup. I’ll just have my turkey and stuffing when I no longer feel like 10 pounds of Durbin in a one pound bag.
I’m posting a couple seasonal images. I can do at least that much without messing it up.

This post is not going to be very popular, I’m afraid. One week on from the Paris massacre, black students demanding the elimination of all things white, a purported leader so clueless and cowardly he makes the ultra-socialist president of France look like Rambo by comparison, and hordes of “refugees” with ISIS assassins intermingled steaming toward our shores, I’ve had all I can stand for one week.
If you are looking for news items about suicide bombers, phony republicans, Obama golfing, Mooch whining, student protests and human trash brutalizing children look elsewhere. This is a completely non-political posting done with the express purpose clearing the air of the stench that is all-encompassing. The one exception (if you can call it that) is the following trailers for the upcoming movie,”13 Hours” about the Americans that were slaughtered at Benghazi,Libya after the Muslim apologist and the next president both turned their backs and walked away.

Sorry to post so many, but it’s been quite a while since I’ve had the chance

It hardly seems Thanksgiving is a mere week away. This is the second year SD has had dinner at her house, since it’s bigger than our apartment. I was used to DW gathering all the things to make the meal and constantly griping about having to do this every year. She’d never admit when she has a houseful of children and grandchildren she’s in her glory.
It’s at this time of year I miss Granny the most. I have such vivid memories of helping her break up the stale bread for her stuffing, pitting the grapes for her fruit salad, and watching her make the crusts for all the pies she baked. We’d come in from doing chores and the whole house was filled with smells that seemed a lot like Heaven to us kids.
It’s also distracting to see the utter failure of a president who will not accept reality nor respect the laws of civilized people. Last night he mocked republicans as being afraid of migrant women and children. It is painfully obvious he hates republicans worse than terrorists. Even some in the media are waking up… belatedly… at what they allowed him to become. Not that they’re sorry, of course. Feeling guilt requires a conscience. Rather than post them in the header I’ll put everything in the reply section and post some things that I haven’t had a chance to in awhile.

It’s the day we’ve all been waiting for! Anticipation running at a fever pitch! On pins and needles! With bated breath! Trembling with excitement!
I’m running out of cliches!
Seriously, it would be interesting to see how many actually tune in to watch. I would, but I’m ironing my socks, changing the percale sheets on my bed to flannel (mmm…cozy warm) then DW and I watch programs she recorded on DVR. I’ll have to read the reviews.
In other news:
Chrissy posted a link about a little chocolate princess who refused to comply with instructions from her teacher, the principal and the officer who was called to remove her. I posted some details on her thread.
It looks like Boehner dropped his pants and mooned all republicans as a parting shot as he and McConnell conspired to give Obama everything he wanted. $150 million in Medicare cuts, cuts to military spending, and raising the debt ceiling so the budget will run until April 2017, when Obama is gone and Hillary takes over.
The Entertainer-In-Chief had the US Womens’ soccer team to the crib yesterday before heading off to Chicago. He addressed the Police Chiefs Association without ever mentioning Black Lives Matter, did a fundraiser or two, then dropped in on the Bulls-Cavaliers game to hobnob with people who actually have talent.
