TRUMP APPROVAL RATING: Given the dominance of the coronavirus situation in Americans’ minds, it is not surprising that the president’s overall job approval rating nearly matches his approval rating on COVID-19.

Hypocrisy makes me nuts!

March 31, 2020: Chris Cuomo tested positive for COVID-19. He continued to work, anchoring his CNN show from his basement where he claimed he was quarantined to protect his family.

April 12, 2020: Chris Cuomo packed his family into the car and took a 30-minute drive from their home in Southampton to some property they are building on in East Hampton. A biker recognized him and criticized him for breaking quarantine.

According to the biker, Cuomo got angry. “He said, ‘Who the hell are you?! I can do what I want!’ He just ranted, screaming, ‘I’ll find out who you are!’ I said to him, ‘Your brother is the coronavirus czar, and you’re not even following his rules — unnecessary travel. He just began to boil more. He said, ‘This is not the end of this. You’ll deal with this later. We will meet again.’ If that’s not a threat, I don’t know what is.”

The biker says he filed a report with the East Hampton police, because he hates bullies and wanted to get something on the record. He also said the police gave him “a huge pushback” about the report. Continue reading →

COVID-19: Start getting your life back, but do it carefully, because COVID-19 is not over. As U.S. history shows, the danger of second waves is something to think about. For instance, the second wave of the Spanish flu resulted in the highest number of American deaths. Unfortunately, there are already reports of second waves of COVID-19 in Japan, Singapore, and China.

Hypocrisy was the word of the day over on CNN’s PrimeTime, where host Chris Cuomo spent a portion of Tuesday’s show ripping Vice President Mike Pence for not wearing a face mask during a visit to the Mayo Clinic.

Pence said he didn’t need one, because he had recently been tested and didn’t have the virus.

Chris Cuomo sneered at Pence saying, “If you’re supposed to wear a mask, you should wear a mask. … We don’t know that you’re 100 percent not contagious when you test negative.”

“Rules for thee, but not for me” may as well be the Cuomo family motto. Continue reading →

Gov. CUOMO: “Cuomo has blood on his hands. He really does.” – On March 25, New York’s Health Department issued a mandate that state nursing homes could not refuse COVID-19-positive patients who were “medically stable.”

The result was to bring the infection into nursing homes that had been virus free where it spread and killed people.

One of the very first things we learned about COVID-19 is that it is highly lethal to the elderly. As of last Wednesday, COVID-19 had killed at least 3,540 residents of New York’s nursing homes and adult care facilities. Continue reading →
