HAPPY DANCING: Yay for Dr. Fung’s Complete Guide to Fasting! I was feeling “skinny” this morning, so I did my measurements again. In the past 3 weeks, I HAVE lost 1/2 inch each on my waist and hips. :)))) My next weigh-in isn’t until Jan 28th, but after that, I’ll be going to my doctor once a month for Osteopathic Manipulation treatments, which help so much! So I’ll be getting weighed monthly. Maybe by spring, I’ll be up to gardening! Wouldn’t THAT be something?!

Academic Claims Phrases Like ‘Bring Home The Bacon’ Will Go Out Of Fashion To Avoid Offending Vegans

The growing popularity of veganism could lead to a cull of meat and dairy sayings, an academic has claimed.

Phrases such as ‘bring home the bacon’ and ‘killing two birds with one stone’ will go out of fashion to avoid offending animal lovers, according to Shareena Hamzah of Swansea University.

She cited guidance from Peta, the animal rights charity, which wants people to replace expressions such as ‘take the bull by the horns’ with ‘take the flower by the thorns’
‘The increased awareness of vegan issues will filter through our consciousness to produce new modes of expression.’

But Dr Hamzah said it was unlikely such phrases would be cut out of the linguistic diet altogether, and their more sparing use could in fact heighten their impact.

Mother Forcing Transgenderism on 6-Year-Old Son May Suffer From a Mental Disorder, Pediatrician Says

In a particularly tragic divorce proceeding, a mother who forces a transgender identity on her 6-year-old son James is accusing the boy’s father of child abuse because he refers to the boy as male. The father responded by offering James a choice of boy’s clothes and girl’s clothes, and the boy constantly chooses the male options while away from his mother.

Dr. Michelle Cretella, executive director at the American College of Pediatricians, told PJ Media that the mother may be suffering from a mental disorder. “This case is consistent with a diagnosis of Munchausen by proxy,” she said.

“This is a disorder in which an adult feigns either physical or psychological condition in a child for their own subconscious reasons,” the pediatrician explained. “Most often the perpetrator is the biological mother and she often has a background in health or medicine.”

Yes, President Trump will attend the funeral of George H.W. Bush

In contrast to the five days long national goodbye to Senator McCain, who chose not to invite either of the Trumps to a decidedly political memorial service at the National Cathedral, President Bush made his final wishes clear to the White House last summer. He wanted the current president to be included. This is what respect for the office of the president looks like. The elder Bush was more than a politician and expected those around him to behave like decent human beings. Agree with his politics or not, that is a worthwhile message.

Joy Behar SCREAMS at “ENTITLED B*TCH” Meghan McCain – Threatens,”I’m Quitting This Damn Show!”

On Monday’s “The View” Joy Behar screamed, threw up her papers, called Meghan McCain a “entitled b*tch!” and threatened to quit the show.

This came after Behar started trashing President Trump in the discussion on the passing of President George H. Bush. Meghan McCain told her to stop with her Trump bashing.
So Behar blew a gasket.

She can’t even talk respectfully about George H. W. Bush’s passing without trying to make it an anti-Trump bash fest.

She was trying to go there today when her co-host, Meghan McCain tried to pull her back.

That’s when things got ugly.

‘This president that we have now is trying to unravel everything that he did and Obama did, and if I ever become a one-issue voter it will be about pollution and the greenhouse effect -‘ she said before being interrupted.

‘Can we focus on the president, please. I don’t want to talk about Trump, we’re honoring a great president,’ McCain interjected.

Behar shot back: ‘Excuse me a second, please. I want to talk about – ‘ before McCain cut her off again saying: ‘We’re honoring a great president who passed and I’m not interested in your one-issue voting.’

Behar fired back: ‘I don’t care what you’re interested in. I’m talking!’

McCain countered: ‘Well I don’t care what you’re interested in either, Joy!’ before Whoopi quickly called for a commercial break.

GOP Lawmakers Join Democrats to Put a Price on Carbon to Curb Climate Change

The members that have signed onto the House version of the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act (EICDA) include Ted Deutch (D-Fla.), Charlie Crist (D-Fla.), Francis Rooney (R-Fla.), John Delaney (D-Md.) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.).

According to Deutch, the legislation seeks to “help reduce U.S. carbon pollution by 40 percent in 12 years, with a 91 percent reduction target by 2050 (vs. 2015 levels)” by pricing carbon at $15 per metric ton of CO2e and “increasing the price by $10 every year.” Annually, the Treasury Department “would return 100 percent of the net revenue back to the American people.”

The Republican lawmakers were unable to join the press call and did not appear at the news conference about the bill, but they issued statements in support of the legislation.

Census confirms: 63 percent of ‘non-citizens’ on welfare, 4.6 million households

A majority of “non-citizens,” including those with legal green card rights, are tapping into welfare programs set up to help poor and ailing Americans, a Census Bureau finding that bolsters President Trump’s concern about immigrants costing the nation.

In a new analysis of the latest numbers, from 2014, 63 percent of non-citizens are using a welfare program, and it grows to 70 percent for those here 10 years or more, confirming another concern that once immigrants tap into welfare, they don’t get off it.

In what was supposedly a “comedy” act to close out the latest episode of NBC’s Saturday Night Live, the female cast members got together to sing their rendition of Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You”. But the person they had their eye on was Special Counsel Robert Mueller, or, at least a report that would put Trump in jail.

Because, according to the SNL cast, “the only other option is a coup. Straight Africa.”
This needs to be done by Christmas. I need a fricking ounce of cheer. I just really want my life back. Oh my god, it’s been two years,” the group sang, switching back and forth between them.

Getting more vindictive, they continued, saying: “I don’t need a full impeachment. But we just need a little fun. Please tell us we aren’t crazy. At least indict his oldest son.”

“Please tell us we aren’t crazy” … Um, you’re singing a song to a special counsel to indict and lock up a sitting U.S. president. Sorry to break it to you, but you’re already there.

GOP Congress Renews Same Old Con Game With Voters

Of course not. We all remember the fake Benghazi investigation run by the oh-so-disappointing Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., with the fake blessing of the House leadership. Big talk. No action. It’s all a con game by Republican swamp dwellers who want to convince voters they are getting something done while making sure there is no chance of upsetting the apple cart. This gambit smells like the rotten work of phony conservative Paul Ryan, who is ending his term as House speaker with virtually no accomplishments for the Republican agenda.

As the incoming chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Graham will have the power to do what Goodlatte can’t do — hold Democrats’ feet to the fire and bring to light the true story of Hillary Clinton’s illegal, immoral and unethical attempt to subvert the 2016 presidential election by hijacking the powers of the executive branch in her own partisan service.

I’m not holding my breath because, like every conservative, I have been serially abused by the Republican leadership of Congress, and I no longer believe any of their promises that this time it will be different.

For those wondering:
In the original study, $21 trillion refers to transfers back-and-forth between accounts. So the same $1 can be counted 1000’s of times. It *does not* mean that $21 trillion in total spending was mis-spent.
