Promises made. Promises kept.

We gave Trump a mandate to cut the bloated government and get unsustainable spending under control. In its first month, DOGE et al. saved We, the American Taxpayers $51 Billion dollars. Below are highlights from last week, which – FULL TRANSPARENCY – are posted as they happen at the DOGE X site.

Friday, February 7 – The government terminated 199 wasteful contracts for a savings of ~$250 million. Our money is no longer going to “climate change mitigation adaption and resilience coordinator” for Sri Lankan forest service or a workshop for “Intercultural communication diversity dialogue circle communicating across differences.”

Monday, February 10 – The Department of Agriculture terminated 18 contracts for a total of ~$9 million. These included money allocated for “Central American gender assessment consultant services”, “Brazil forest and gender consultant services”, and the “Women in forest carbon initiative mentorship program.”

Monday, February 10 – The Department of Education terminated 29 DEI training grants totaling $101 million. One sought to train teachers to “help students understand / interrogate the complex histories involved in oppression, and help students recognize areas of privilege and power on an individual and collective basis.” Education terminated another 89 contracts worth $881 million. Among them were $4.6 million to coordinate Zoom and in-person meetings, $3.0 million contract to write a report that showed that prior reports were not utilized by schools, and $1.5 million to “observe mailing and clerical operations” at a mail center,

Wednesday, February 12 – The Department of Homeland Security recovered the full payment that FEMA deep state activists illegally sent to NYC to house illegals in hotels. One of these was the Roosevelt Hotel, which has served as a Tren de Aragua base of operations; Laken Riley’s killer stayed there. The Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan is owned by the government of Pakistan. Meanwhile, American hurricane victims are sleeping in tents.

Wednesday, February 12 – The DOGE team canceled a $25,000 award entitled “Empowering LGBTQIA+ Refugees in Greece.”

Wednesday, February 12 – Fifty-eight more cancellations with savings of more than $150 million in categories including Media, DEI, and Consulting. They included $405,000 at DHS for “resilience, energy, and sustainability management program support services” and ~$4 million at DoT for “DEIA program and project management support services.”

Wednesday, February 12 – The EPA canceled three DEI contracts, saving American taxpayers $45 million. The EPA also announced it would not be renewing Politico subscriptions, saving us another $458,919 per year.

Thursday, February 13 – The EPA canceled a $50 million Biden-era environmental justice grant to the Climate Justice Alliance, which believes “climate justice travels through a Free Palestine.”

Thursday, February 13 – Elon’s genius posse saved ~$115 million by canceling 167 contracts, including $2.23 million for “equity assessments of existing program policies.”

Friday, February 14 – DOGE located $1.9 billion of misplaced HUD moneys that were no longer needed.

Friday, February 14 – Lee Zeldin at EPA canceled 9 more wasteful DEI and Environmental Justice contracts, saving American taxpayers another ~$60 million. Zeldin says, “I’m just warming up! I have ZERO tolerance for even a penny of your hard-earned tax dollars to be wasted or abused.”

Friday, February 14 – In the last 48 hours, the Department of Education terminated 70 DEI training grants totaling $373 million. One was to train teachers to “engage in ongoing learning and self-reflection to confront their own biases and racism, and develop asset-based anti-racist mindsets.” In addition, the departments of education in all 50 states were sent a letter notifying them they have 14 days to remove all DEI programming in all public schools or face a loss of federal funding.

DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, We pray today for our loved ones who do not love You. Please open their minds and hearts to Your beauty, Your truth, and Your healing love. And, help us to be good to them. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

BUYOUT: About 75,000 federal workers, slightly less than four percent of the 2.3 million-person federal civil service workforce, accepted the Trump administration’s retirement buyout offer before it expired, allowing them to receive full pay and benefits until Sept. 30 while being exempt from daily attendance rules and layoffs. Since 2000, the average daily retirement total was 274. On average, the buyout offer reaped 6,250 employees each day while it was offered.

DOGE: Fourteen states — Arizona, Michigan, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington — have sued, asking the court to bar Musk and his DOGE team from access data systems or make changes to the disbursement of public funds, government contracts, regulations or personnel.

DOGE: Roses are red, violets are blue. DOGE has made $3.4 billion in waste bid adieu. – The latest include a $45 million DEI scholarship in Myanmar (formerly Burma) and an $8.2 million USDA contract for “environmental compliance services for the implementation of pilot projects developed under the partnership for climate smart commodities.” The White House has also canceled $500,000 in subscriptions to Politico.

DOWNSIZING: Now that the buyout offer has terminated, the Trump administration has started sending pink slips to unnecessary members of the federal workforce. Among those who should be kicking themselves for passing on the generous buyout severance package are those whose didn’t bother to return to work after the pandemic and whose jobs were deemed nonessential during the last government shutdown. This would include more than half of the IRS workforce. Some of these latter may have a future in border security, however, as Tom Homan reportedly believes their skills could be used to hunt down illegals.

EU: Vice President J.D. Vance gave Europe a well deserved scolding in a very meaty speech. [19:40] – The tragedy he refers to occurred the day before his speech when an Afghani Islamic extremist deliberately drove his car into a crowd, injuring at least 28 people, including children, and some critically. The perp is a 24-year-old man who BBC described as a migrant seeking asylum from the Islamic extremist government in his native land. Wait, wut? He is also allegedly known to police for previous offenses, which begs the question a second time. Why he was still in Germany?

LOUISIANA: The state’s Surgeon General Ralph Abraham had ordered his staff to stop engaging in media campaigns and community health fairs to encourage vaccinations. The state will still stock and provide vaccines, but will now put emphasis on encouraging citizens to learn about the risks and benefits of various vaccines before deciding.

MEDIA: In 2022, Trump filed a lawsuit again the Pulitzer Prize panel’s award to the New York Times and the Washington Post for pushing the false “Russian collusion” narrative. The Pulitzer Prize Board filed a motion to have the lawsuit dismissed. On Wednesday, appellate court in Florida unanimously denied the motion. In his written concurrence, Judge Ed Artau affirmed that the trial court had jurisdiction over the defendants and concluded that the issues in the lawsuit are actionable.

CUI BONO: Legacy corporations such as Associated Press, Politico, Reuters, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and CNN have been presenting themselves as the only “legitimate” news sources. FEMA: An audit of pandemic-related funds from January 2020 to 2023, found that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) mismanaged nearly $10 billion by failing “to follow established requirements when delivering Public Assistance funding.” Assistant DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin announced that FEMA is terminating four officials involved in the misuse of funds, including the agency’s Chief Financial Officer.

Trump says individual states should handle disaster response. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, whose department oversees FEMA, suggested President Trump should do to FEMA what he did to USAID. Noem announce that 80% of the remaining Hurricane Helene/FEMA cases were resolved during the first 20 days of the Trump administration, providing $54 million for 2,600 families that needed assistance. TARIFFS: Yesterday, Trump signed off on a plan to enact reciprocal tariffs on U.S. trading partners. In short, reciprocal tariffs mean that “whatever countries charge the United States of America, we will charge—no more no less.” He said both our friends and our foes have been using their tariffs very unfairly to harm the U.S economy. For example, Germany has been able to sell eight times as many cars to us as we do to them. “Those days are over.”

Pontifical Hypocrisy

Pope Francis has released another scolding to American Trump supporters. In it he says, “I have followed closely the major crisis that is taking place in the United States with the initiation of a program of mass deportations.” Then he equates migration with necessity, as if all the millions who came here illegally did so to escape persecution. Clearly, he has not followed our open border crisis closely.

He claims that “the rightly formed conscience cannot fail to make a critical judgment and express its disagreement with any measure that tacitly or explicitly identifies the illegal status of some migrants with criminality.” Sorry, but no. A criminal is someone who has committed a crime. A crime is an unlawful act punishable by a state or other authority. Entering any locale in a manner that violates their law is a crime. What is hard about this? The United States has procedures for those who genuinely need to flee persecution. Those who follow them are genuine migrants. Those who sneak in are criminals as are those who have been denied asylum, yet have stayed anyway.

Pope Francis is a hypocrite. Although Vatican City does not require visitors to produce a passport or have a visa to visit, it does not permit overnight stays. And of the few areas that are open to visitors, most require an entrance fee and/or have a dress code. If you break the Vatican’s laws, its highly trained and well armed law enforcers will deal with you.

Just three weeks ago, Vatican City announced increased penalties for those who violate its borders:

  1. These sanctions apply especially to those who enter with expired permits, who do not meet the established requirements, who bypass border controls or security systems, or who enter by means of violence, threats, or deception.
  2. Penalties can be increased if the crime is committed with firearms, corrosive substances, by a person in disguise, or by several people together. Likewise, if illegal access is made in a vehicle, the penalty can increase by up to two-thirds.
  3. Anyone convicted of illegal entry will be banned from entering Vatican territory for a period of up to 15 years. If this sanction is breached, the offender may be punished with a prison sentence of one to five years.

My apologies for brevity … my symptoms have flared. ❤

DOGE: After three weeks, Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has made over $1 billion in cuts, and they haven’t even gotten to the military yet. Dems have complained that DOGE has been nitpicking. According to them, $70K to stage a musical in Ireland is too small an amount to be bothered about. Frankly, this pisses me off; the average ANNUAL income in the United States is less than $64K.

FAUCI: The Department of Government Efficiency announced on social media that the Department of Health and Human services had nixed plans to spend $168,000 on a museum exhibit to honor Anthony Fauci.

GAZA: [19:55] – I thought he was kidding. Nope!

GULF OF AMERICA: Some suggest Trump did this because Biden put out a bunch of orders banning drilling in the Gulf of Mexico and maybe it was quicker to change the name than launch legal challenges. I can’t help wondering if he enjoys pranking the left so they will waste time, energy and news cycle minutes fighting him over things he doesn’t care about.

PEN and PHONE: Laura Ingraham calls out Democrats’ panicking over DOGE. [8:49] – The Obama clips are my favorite part.

VANCE: LOVE J.D. [6:56] – Best comments – “It’s funny how the journalists can dig up 5 year old social media posts but miss billions of dollars of money laundering.” “Am I the only one who can’t wait to vote Vance for potus in 4 years??”

Re: the ad – My only sad face about my Helix mattress is that they didn’t use extra strong springs around the edges. People SIT on the edges of the bed. I SIT on the edges of my bed. My Helix is shlumping on the edges where I sit. Our first mattress had extra strong springs around the edge to support sitting. You only need comfort in the middle. Helix … listen up, please.

DAILY PRAYER: Dear Lord, We ask you today for the graces we need to trust You totally. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

BORDER: Reinforcing our border wall makes illegal crossings more difficult.

DOGE: When Biden was killing off real jobs in the energy sector, Dems told coal miners to “learn to code.” Now that Trump is killing off cushy, overpaid “jobs” in government, Dems are treating it as a national emergency. I’m thinking if the IRS did a deep audit on each of the ones squealing the loudest, a bunch of those mission billions would turn up.

HATING GOD: It is what Nazism, Islam, and the Democratic Party all have in common.

OMB: DOGEism is catching on. Trump’s head of the Office of Management and Budget, Russ Vought, says he has scrutinized the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) budget and determined it is not “reasonably necessary” to continue funding it. “This spigot, long contributing to CFPB’s unaccountability, is now being turned off.” The CFPB is yet another government agency that has been funneling our tax dollars to progressive causes.

PRIORITIES: Sen. Andy Kim (D-N.J.) says he and his fellow Democrats are open to shutting down the government in March if Trump’s recent actions to slim down the federal government are not halted. So … what they’re saying is that it’s okay to shut down the government, but not to slim down the government. Okay. I guess. ::smh::

SOT: I keep hearing TV anchors calling for us to watch SOT number something. I googled and found out that SOT stands for “sound on tape.” It refers to an audio-video recording.

TRUMP: While at the Super Bowl, Trump tweeted that he has decided to stop wasting money making pennies. It literally costs us two cents to manufacture every one cent coin!

WEAPONIZING GOVERNMENT: Next question is … did SHE pay back those loans on time and with interest like Trump did?

WOMEN’S SPORTS: Three former University of Pennsylvania women’s swimmers – Grace Estabrook, Margot Kaczorowski and Ellen Holmquist – filed suit on Tuesday, alleging they suffered emotional trauma by having transgender swimmer Lia Thomas as a teammate. They are calling for the Ivy League to expunge Thomas’ female swimming records.

“The UPenn administrators told the women that if anyone was struggling with accepting Thomas’ participation on the UPenn Women’s team, they had psychological problems and needed to see a counselor. They also say school officials warned them not to speak out against Thomas, lest they be branded as “transphobic” and damage future job prospects.

Dispelling Leftist Lies About DOGE

Virginia Republican Rep. Ben Cline published an open letter to constituents last week that I think is worth passing on to y’all. His intention was to dispel the lies Democrats have been spewing in what he described as their “scripted outrage” over Trump’s aggressive efforts to cut federal spending before our nation goes into bankruptcy. The link to his letter is at the end. The graphics are my addition.

President Donald Trump “has Article II constitutional authority to appoint individuals who can help execute their vision for the federal government. Most recently, President Trump designated Elon Musk as a ‘special government employee,’ which is defined by Section 202 of Title 18 of the United States Code. President Trump’s decision to enlist Mr. Musk is a bold step toward strengthening America’s technological leadership and eliminating bureaucratic inefficiencies. This appointment is fully within the President’s discretion and is no different from past administrations appointing industry experts to key cabinet, advisory, and operational roles.”

“Musk is not a private citizen being given ‘unprecedented access to personal or sensitive information,’ as the extreme left would lead you to believe. Mr. Musk holds some of the highest-level security clearances as a key defense contractor and his work is integral to ensuring U.S. military superiority. As you are aware, the rocket systems and satellites his companies produce are used across the federal government, including in the Department of Defense, and his Starlink system has been critical in supporting U.S. allies abroad. There are few, if any, private individuals who have done more to advance America’s technological and defense capabilities in modern history. If there is anyone qualified to bring the federal government into the 21st century and improve its efficiency, it is Elon Musk.”

“The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is an essential initiative to reduce wasteful spending, cut bureaucratic red tape, and modernize government technology. On his first day in office, President Trump legally integrated DOGE into the federal government by way of an executive order renaming the U.S. Digital Service as the U.S. DOGE Service (USDS). Fully authorized under the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), USDS will enhance government productivity and ensure taxpayer dollars are spent responsibly. Each executive agency’s DOGE Team works in coordination with agency heads in order to ensure the implementation of President Trump’s DOGE agenda. Treasury Secretary Scott [Bessent] has already approved DOGE’s lawful access to unclassified records and systems to facilitate this integration.”

“There is no evidence to support the allegation that Elon Musk or his team has unlawfully accessed or seized the sensitive data. Any access to citizen data is strictly regulated, and the role of DOGE is focused on modernizing outdated systems, not compiling private information. The real threat to Americans’ privacy has come from an unchecked bureaucracy that has mismanaged data security for decades. The reforms proposed by President Trump and implemented by individuals like Mr. Musk are designed to prevent government overreach, not expand it.”

“Additionally, to ensure proper legislative oversight of these efforts, I am proud to serve as a member of the new DOGE Caucus here in Congress. This caucus will work alongside President Trump to introduce reforms that streamline government operations, eliminate inefficiencies, and restore fiscal responsibility in Washington.”

DAILY PRAYER: O Trinity of love and power, Our brethren shield in danger’s hour; From rock and tempest, fire and foe, Protect them wheresoe’er they go; Thus evermore shall rise to Thee, Glad hymns of praise from land and sea. Amen.

BORDER: Tom Homan’s agents have arrested 11,000 illegal aliens in just 18 days. Among the highlights are a Gulf Cartel hitman, members of Tren de Aragua and MS-13 gangs, and cartel drug traffickers. I heard a reporter ask Homan if he was satisfied with the pace of arrest. He said no, they need to do more.

CALIFORNICATION: According to The San Francisco Chronicle, the State of California and its public school athletics association intends to ignore Trump’s executive order and continue to allow athletes to participate as whichever gender they identify as.

Flashback: In 2023, Biden ruled that public schools that did not allow boys to play on girls’ teams and use their private spaces would lose federal aid for free and reduced-price school lunches.

CANCEL NOT: The mainstream media threw a hissy fit this week upon discovering that an employee of the Department of Government Efficiency was a 19-year-old who had made controversial social media posts under the name “Big Balls.” Musk asked his X followers their opinion; 78% of them agreed with Vance. Musk sealed the deal with a post saying, “To err is human, to forgive divine.”

CONGRESS: In January, Rep. Sarah McBride (D-DE) – the first trannie elected to the U.S. Congress – was denied access to the women’s bathrooms. To his credit, he agreed to use single user bathrooms. Last week, presider Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) refused to “deny biological reality” and recognized McBride as “the gentleman from Delaware, Mr. McBride, for five minutes.”

COURTS: After 19 state attorneys general sued to keep DOGE out of Treasury Department records, U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer limited access to those working at the Bureau of Fiscal Services who have passed background checks.

A coalition of labor unions filed suit on Feb. 5 seeking to prevent DOGE from gaining access to Labor Department records. U.S. District Judge John Bates denied the suit, saying the “plaintiffs have failed to establish standing.”

DEI: CLICK https://www.youtube.com/shorts/qET1GnSZAH8 to hear Nick Freitas riff on the difficulties HR departments are facing in the Trump era.

DOGE: Musk and his crew uncovered the Treasury Department’s “utterly insane” payment system, by which between $50 and $100 billion in fraudulent payments go out annually.

One of the most significant changes taking place will be payment categorization codes. According to Musk, these codes are essential for financial audits, yet they are frequently left blank, making it nearly impossible to track where taxpayer dollars are going. Can you imagine a business surviving a single IRS audit if half its outgoing moneys had no code?

Another reform involves weekly or even daily updates to the Treasury’s Do-Not-Pay list, which is meant to prevent payments to fraudulent entities, deceased individuals, suspected terrorist fronts, and other entities or people who should not be paid by federal agencies. Musk said that this list has not been regularly updated or strictly enforced.

These changes will be made by the Treasury Department, not by DOGE.

LABOR: [15:42] – Democrats have been trying to eliminate 14c certificates that allow sheltered workshops to provide jobs for the disabled. Their rationale was that allowing employers to hire disabled people for sub-minimum wage was a form of wage discrimination. In fact, sheltered workshops employ people who cannot function at a level that allows businesses to pay them minimum wage. Without 14c certificates, these people wouldn’t have the pride of earning a pay check, but would be left to sit on their behinds all day, every day in care facilities.

The fact that they get paid sub-minimum wage does not mean they are living hand-to-mouth; they all qualify for additional assistance, such as SSI. Likewise, the existence of sheltered workshops is not preventing disabled workers who are capable of competing in the workplace if provided with reasonable accommodations (as required by the ADA). In fact, it seems perfectly reasonable to me to suppose that some disabled workers could develop a marketable skill in a sheltered workshop, then transition if they chose to do so.

Trump put a stop to Dems’ efforts, something that has not been reported in the news.

USAID: How it started … how it’s going … going … GONE! Trump has eliminated USAID and is in the process of laying off all but 290 of its 13,000 staffers, saving taxpayers tens of billion$. The handful of genuinely helpful programs will now be administered by the State Department which, unlike USAID, knows it is part of the executive branch of the U.S. government.

SecState Rubio said, “We had no choice but to take dramatic steps to bring this thing under control.” They were being “completely uncooperative,” acting like “they’re not even a U.S. government agency” but rather “a global charity” spending taxpayer money “irrespective of … [our] national interest.”

DOGE: People who are worried about Elon Musk having access to the Social Security numbers we have given to our banks, employers, car loan companies, mortgage holders, insurance providers, credit card companies, and the IRS. FYI, guys … Elon Musk doesn’t need your money.

JUDICIAL ACTIVISTS: On Thursday Federal Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly decided she was the true elected leader of the United States and she blocked the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from accessing “any payment record or payment system of records maintained within the [Treasury] Bureau of Fiscal Service.”

Judge Kollar-Kotelly is the same vile leftist who sentence 75-year-old Paulette Harlow to two years in jail for her part in temporarily blockading the entrance to a late-term abortion clinic. When Paulette’s husband, John, begged the judge to reconsider, citing his wife’s health problems that made him fear that she might die in prison, the judge sneered and told him no because, according to her, 75-year-old Paulette’s protest had been “violent.” Harlow suffers from debilitating diabetes, Hashimoto’s disease, and severe back pain requiring the use of a wheelchair. To add insult to injury, Kollar-Kotelly forbade Harlow, a devout Catholic, from attending Mass while she was under house arrest awaiting trial.

Last week, other judicial activists told police to stand down and allowed hundreds of anti-ICE protesters to walk away scott free during and after they used their bodies to block traffic on a major LA freeway for hours.

PLASTIC STRAWS: Trump promised to end Biden’s ban on plastic straws in federal facilities.

POTUS: In 2021, Biden revoked Trump’s access to intelligence briefings, an entitlement that most former presidents enjoyed. Trump just returned the favor.
