Cuz voters are stupid and the ends justify the means.
‘Are You Cruel?’ Senator Angus King Loses It on Fox News over Obamacare Video [3:11]
I was going to remark on the paternalistic attitude until I remembered that I didn’t lie to my kids ever, not even when they were toddlers with one syllable vocabularies. I wonder how many of these twerps had parents who did lie to them … A LOT.
Meanwhile, the Left Stream Media has ignored the Gruber story, which is absurd. Journalists used to love nothing better than to zing somebody, anybody, with a candid camera embarrassment. I was surprised to hear that MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski admitted that if it “had it been a Republican, the media would have been exploding.” Has Mika suddenly grown some self-awareness? Hmmm.
November 5, 2014: President Obama held a post-election presser. I can’t stand listening to him, but I read about it at Twitchy. 🙂 Here’s the gist of what they said he said:
“To everyone who voted, I want you to know…I hear you. To the two-thirds of voters who chose not to participate…I hear you, too.” —Obama
And here are some Twittery replies:
No, President Obama is not going to take the blame for this election.
It’s down to lazy voters.
I came out of my coma for THIS?
Shorter Obama: Sour grapes.
We are disappointing him. Again.
Val had to talk him off the ledge and medicate him just to make him presentable to his “subjects” today.
It wasn’t a truly “national election” cuz as Obama said, “I’m the guy whose elected by everybody, not just one state.”
What a jerk.
That’s him in a nutshell.
But…but…he’s the most intelligent man that ever lived.
He’s a legend in his own mind at any rate.
Obama’s post-election presser was brought to you by the letter “B” — for BORING.
Why is Obama known as a Great Orator? Boring as hell while rewriting history.
President Obama sounds bored with his own talking points.
My mom is taking a nap and she told me to leave it on the channel Obama is speaking on because he’s boring.
If he seamlessly started explaining how to change the toner cartridge on a xerox machine, would anyone notice?
I had to stab myself in the leg with a fork to stay awake during that answer.
Obama helped the economy today! During his boring spiel I did some online shopping.
Obama has repeated the phrase “get stuff done” a few times
Oh … THAT’s really presidential.
You’ll have to excuse Valerie Jarrett’s lil Bammy ‘Bam ‘Bam today… he’s a wee bit flustered after the epic drubbing he got from sea-to-shining-sea yesterday.
Obama Goes Off on Reporter Major Garrett for asking a substantive question
Obama does have his sycophants like the lapdog journo who let him say he loves campaigning, shaking hands, and hugging people.
He loves campaigning. For once, he’s being honest.
He left off golfing.
Is it just me or does that sound like a dating site profile?
Obama “loves campaigning” because he is a jealous god requiring much worship.
He should be running campaigns instead of running the country into the ground.
We should definitely have elected him president so he could ENJOY himself.
He and Mooch told the Olympic Committee to site the games in Chicago cuz they lived there.
This is true.
And Geraldo Rivera, who tweeted: “Deserted by Latinos, blacks and his feckless lazy Millennial supporters, President O got his ass kicked by millions of angry old white folk.”
The buzz words the LSM has apparently agreed on is that this was a “Seinfeld election” (Seinfeld show’s premise was “a show about nothing.”) President Obama said it wasn’t a “true national election.” Ooooooooooooookay. Funny how after Obama won a single primary, it was “the day the oceans began to recede.”
I guess when you vote with your little brains instead of your big brains, you can actually believe people like Joe Biden and Chris Matthews are wise and truthful prognosticators of reality.
Far from being a nothing election, some of Tuesday’s wins were actually historic.Come January 2015, the GOP will have the most seats since the Truman administration. In those seats will be the first female war veteran ever elected, Iowa’s and West Virginia’s first female Senators, the youngest woman ever elected to Congress, the first Black Republican woman ever elected to Congress, and the first Black Senator elected in the South since Reconstruction. Odd how they’re all Republicans, what with, you know, Democrats being soooooo all about advancing Blacks and Wimmin. Or something.
Dems famously opined in January 2007 that NOW they would have a chance to GOVERN. Well, they’ve proved they can’t and in the process lost their traditional guilt-and-hate-hold on voters-with-brains. Dem candidates, like Mark Udall, Wendy Davis and Sandra Fluke, who all got a lot of positive MSM national press for their Uterine Campaigns ALL LOST. And when Democrat Martha Coakely prefaced a debate question to her opponent Republican Tom Reed with, “As part of the war on women,” the studio audience spontaneously burst into LAUGHTER.
Even Billary lost big! According to the left-leaning Politico, Bill and Hillary Clinton were the most sought-after campaigners this election season. “In the final weeks of the campaign, nearly every endangered Democrat brought [Bill and Hillary Clinton] along on the stump – from Kay Hagan in North Carolina to Mary Landrieu in Louisiana, Mark Udall in Colorado to Mark Pryor in Arkansas. But it was an overwhelming wipeout — of the Clinton-backed candidates in the closest Senate races, only [Sen. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H.] hung on.”
According to Harry Reid, “The message from voters is clear: they want us to work together. I look forward to working with Senator McConnell to get things done for the middle class.” Scott Ott at PJ Media wrote:
No, Senator Reid. Americans don’t want Washington to “work together” to “get things done.”
If Americans were tired of divisiveness in D.C., and frustrated with the failure to work together to pass legislation, Democrats would have swept Tuesday’s midterm elections. They did not.
If Americans wanted to get back to the good old days of the Clinton administration, they would have supported the candidates who Bill and Hillary backed. In the crucial Senate races in Georgia, Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, North Carolina (and others), they did not.
Americans would have returned Harry Reid to the Senate majority leader’s chair, with a filibuster-proof Democratic majority, if they yearned to…
pack the courts with abortion advocates, or
hold onto their Obamacare health plan, or
yield their children to compulsory Common Core curricula, or
slap down corporations through higher taxes, or
muzzle the voice of the Koch brothers, or
protect the bureaucrats who snoop on and target us, or
put that hinkle dreck Netanyahu in his place. (Apologies to my Pennsylvania Dutch and Jewish brethren.)
They did not do that, because they do not want that.
In Iowa, the Joni Ernst for Senate campaign caught fire when she implied she would castrate Democrats and their cronies in D.C. — figuratively, of course.
If America wanted nothing more than peace in the D.C. pigpen, Joni would be headed home.
Instead, Senator-elect Ernst is pulling on her Carhartts and snapping on the latex gloves.
As Pistol Pete put it … “The Republicans were not elected to change the tone in DC. They weren’t elected to work with Obama to get things done. They were elected to STOP OBAMA!”
Brit Hume: ‘This Was a Night When The Chickens Came Home to Roost’ [1:13]
Sarah posted this at her Facebook:I understand that the CNN host who laughed at my daughter describing her assault has issued an apology to Politico. Why Politico needs an apology is anyone’s guess. No one at CNN contacted my family regarding an apology, in case you were wondering. … I’d like to say shame on the media and those on the left laughing at her or at any young woman in a similar situation, but I no longer think they have any shame.
Excerpt from Bristol’s blog:
I have mostly stayed out of the public eye for the past few years. I clock in and out of work – yes I actually have a job – like most middle class Americans and chip away at making my son’s life just a little bit easier. So why does the media still choose to put the Palins into an entirely different category of people? This “story” is still running over a month and a half later. Rumors still run wild, unsubstantiated claims are printed as true, and random people who weren’t even there are considered “eye witnesses.”
In the meantime, did you even hear about Vice President Joe Biden’s adult son who kicked out of the Navy for cocaine? (That’s the real Vice President’s kid…) So pause for a moment and consider the hysteria over our stupid “incident”, compared to our actual Vice President’s son not even being able to hold on to a position in the Navy Reserve.
I’m sure you heard the happy news that Chelsea Clinton had a baby. But did you know her father-in-law and Clinton family pal Edward Mezvinsky is a convicted felon because of committing bank, wire, and mail fraud?
Of course, you didn’t. Because the friends and family of the revered liberal elite are treated like delicate China. Don’t handle too roughly. They are precious. They are off limits. Don’t push on them too hard.
In the meantime, I was pushed and held down by some guy… and the media salivates like a dog that’s just been given a bone.
Here’s the thing. Violence against women is never okay… Even if that violence occurs against conservative women. Imagine for a second the outrage that would happen if Chelsea Clinton had gotten pushed by some guy. Had she tried to defend herself, the liberal media would’ve held her up as some feminist hero.
But it wasn’t Chelsea.
It wasn’t Hillary.
It wasn’t someone they liked or someone they agreed with.
It was a conservative.
And once again, the hypocrisy of the media is laid bare.
The political left is ALL about condemning violence against women … unless the victim is a famous Republican.
The most recent example was CNN anchor Carol Costello, who was outspoken about the evils of violence against women when the victim was Ray Rice’s fiance. At that time, she explained the issue was deeply personal for her, because she was assaulted by her college boyfriend.
“I never wanted to become the poster child for anything, let alone domestic violence. But my blood is boiling, so when I say shut up, I’m venting at all those people out there who insist on blaming the victim.”
But check out her reportage about a recent assault on Bristol Palin:
“Sit back and enjoy. You’ll want to hear what she told cops about how it all started.”
In the tearful audio, Bristol describes being knocked down by a man she doesn’t know, who hit her and dragged by her feet across the grass (she was wearing a dress) while screaming expletives at her.
Warning: Costello’s attitude before and after playing the audio is beyond disturbing.
At the end, she makes a point of saying no charges were filed in the incident, which given her attitude, suggested Bristol was exaggerating or lying. But Bristol says on the tape she had no idea who the man was. It’s a little hard to file charges when you haven’t got an identity for your assailant.
Frankly, I wish I hadn’t just eaten when I watched this.
Now that ISIS is taking control of deadly chemical weapons in Iraq that are left over from Saddam’s hidden stashes, and our media is reporting it, isn’t it time to point out the shamelessness of this 14 year media conspiracy that painted President Bush as a liar and warmonger for going into Iraq after ‘non-existent’ WMDs? In fact, shouldn’t we be keeping track of the lies, like we do the deficit?
Greatest U.S. Media Lies and Conspiracies of the Last 100 Years:
1. Walter Duranty’s NY Times Pulitzer for deceiving the public about Stalinist Communism for decades.
2. Anthony Lewis’ and NY Times’ defense of Pol Pol and Khmer Rouge.
3. Media campaign to promote the scientifically discredited cause of climate activism.
4. Media campaign to protect the morally discredited Fascist political system of Islam from all scrutiny.
5. Media campaign to destroy and imprison the administration of a sitting Republican President in the early 70s (for knowledge of a burglary) while systematically covering up egregious criminal activity of Democrats (including murders, like Vince Foster’s) for 50 years.
6. Relentless 10 year frenzy of lies and diversions that established, falsely, that the Bush Administration had no reason to defeat Saddam Hussein and prevent his cache of chemical weapons from being used.
7. Media campaign to elect a talentless, radical community organizer to the Presidency and then protect him from all criticism as he completely destroyed every part of the U.S. that didn’t resemble or function like Zimbabwe.
8. What Constitution? We have a Constitution? Our President doesn’t need no stinking Constitution.
From the Weasel Times and Stoat Intelligencer:
Okay, that NY Times article about chemical weapons today. Help me out here. They put this together from a bunch of Wikileaks stuff and some FOIA requests. It shows that US soldiers were finding chemical weapons regularly from 2004 and 2011 and some were hurt by them.
And the Times is scolding the government for downplaying the danger and significance of chemical weapons? WTF happened to “Bush lied, people died”? Yeah, they’re describing them as a bunch of old crappy weapons (and of American design, woooo!) but isn’t that entirely in line with what we expected to find and were told we hadn’t? Tens of thousands, by the sound of it.
And why did the military downplay this? Why did the government?
And why is the Times doing a bunch of original reportage on this now? Could it be that ISIS is closing in on this stuff and they want an alibi when the bad guys start lobbing chemical weapons around…? Read more at sweasel.com.
As Pistol Pete posted earlier today, some unusually slavish behavior happened at last night’s fundraiser at Gwyneth Paltrow’s estate in Brentwood, California. This event was so fawning that even the Hollywood smut merchant TMZ has begun to bemoan that the once-respectable Office of the President of the United States has become seriously damaged.
The idiocy of Hollywood was in full bloom Thursday night when Gwyneth Paltrow turned an already-embarrassing Hollywood fundraiser into “The Dating Game.”
Paltrow — who hosted the event at her Brentwood home — gushed as she introduced President Obama, “You’re so handsome that I can’t speak properly.”
She then showed utter ignorance about, and contempt for, the Constitution and separation of powers — the basic tenets of our government — by saying, “It would be wonderful if we were able to give this man all of the power that he needs to pass the things that he needs to pass.”
It’s the latest example of how demeaning it has become for Presidents to act like circus animals — performing for crowds that will feed them … in this case, feed them with money to line political coffers.
It’s revolting that celebrities and other rich people feel such a need for self-importance — contributing money but ONLY if they can have their picture taken with the president and tell their friends they had dinner with him. If they’re so committed to him, just send him a check and let him stay in Washington and do his job.
