The Dreaded Complication

For most physicians, the dreaded complication is that the patient dies, but what abortionists dread is having the baby survive.

INCREDIBLE! I just googled “Gosnell trial” and one of the top hits was a HuffPo article posted 10 hours ago with the title …

“Kermit Gosnell Trial Is A ‘Peek Into The World Before Roe v. Wade'” by NARAL President Ilyse Hogue

Wow … could they BE any more blindly self-serving? Gosnell’s atrocities are the direct result of unrestricted, unregulated legal abortion, NOT some grotesque flashback to the “bad old days” when, BTW, fewer than 300 women died per year from illegal abortions nationally.

And you know why the number was so low?

Because it was a felony to perform an abortion, so the doctors who did it (and they mostly were doctors, using real tools, not coat hangers) had to be very careful so they wouldn’t get caught.

But now that we have “safe, legal” abortion, politicians like Kathleen Sebelius (former Kansas Governor and bff of late-term abortionist George Tiller) actively protect abortion butchers from prosecution and Planned Parenthood routinely spends millions lobbying against the passage of and then fighting in the courts to strike down laws that attempt in any way to protect the health and safety of women seeking abortion. This is why abortionists like Gosnell operate with impunity.

Speaking of which … this country elected President Barack Obama, a man who

  • made Kathleen Sebelius the Secretary of Health and Human Services,
  • has enthusiastically supported Planned Parenthood for years, and
  • sided with Kermit Gosnell on the killing of infants who survive abortions.

When late-term abortionist George Tiller was shot to death, the media went berserk.

When late-term abortionist Kermit Gosnell murdered viable, live-born babies, the media yawned.

She also told about one baby she saw who was so big that Gosnell joked that “this baby is going to walk me home.” Then he killed it.

My opinion of liberals was reinforced last week as I was channel surfing late one evening and happened upon Bob Beckel blustering about Dr. Ben Carson. As many of my regular readers are aware, I do not watch Fox News, but happening upon Beckel at that moment froze my finger just as it readied to click the channel button on the remote control.

Dr. Carson had accurately referenced elitist white liberals as being “the most racist people out there.” That was enough to set Beckel off. He objected to Dr. Carson’s assertion, and launched into a screed accusing him of being ignorant of history. But, Dr. Carson is not ignorant of history – rather it is Beckel who is attempting to deny history.

Beckel claimed that it was liberals who had gone into the South to march with Dr. King – not least of whom was his father. He claimed that his father was a “liberal who went into the South and was arrested 57 times in the civil rights movement registering blacks.”

The telling moment was when Beckel said, “It was liberals who have been on the forefront of every major”… and then caught himself. He did not finish his statement. And well it was that he didn’t because what he was about to assert was a damnable lie, and he knew it.

More horrors revealed in under-reported Gosnell testimony

 

More shocking testimony in the “You won’t hear about this from the MSM” Gosnell abortion trial …

Dr. Gosnell had been Sherry West’s primary care doctor for 20 years when he offered her a job at his abortion clinic. At that time (late in 2008), Gosnell was well aware that West had Hepatitis C, so could not legally or safely work in a medical facility … which is no doubt why he paid under the table to do so. He also knew she had had a nervous breakdown and was taking Prozac, which makes his offering her a job assisting at late-term abortions unbelievably callous.

In West’s testimony, she described things she saw during her two years working for Gosnell, including patients delivering their babies into the toilet, which she said she made a co-worker remove because it was too upsetting to her to do it herself. She said she called the dead bodies “specimens” because “it was easier to deal with mentally.”

She also said she saw women come in who looked too far along to be legally aborting and, in one incident that “really freaked me out”, she described a baby 18-24 inches long who survived the abortion procedure and actually screamed aloud. “I can’t describe it. It sounded like a little alien,” West testified. She said she told a co-worker to call Gosnell about it and fled the room.

Not a day goes by when I don’t want to slap some mealy mouthed, butt backwards media activist. Pause and consider the journalistic ethics of a media that considers it acceptable to publicly exploit the memories of murdered children and the grief of their families to advance a political agenda, but unacceptable to expose the pampering of the overindulged Obama children during a time of record-breaking national economic distress.

Abortionist Gosnell faces 43 criminal counts, including eight counts of murder in the death of one patient, Karnamaya Monger, and seven newborn infants. Additional charges include conspiracy, drug delivery resulting in death, infanticide, corruption of minors, evidence tampering, theft by deception, abuse of corpse, and corruption.

Wayne LaPierre is an Executive VP of the NRA and an outspoken advocate for the right to keep and bear arms. He has been in the news numerous times since the shooting in Connecticut, standing firm in the face of the Progressive media’s attacks on guns.

On a recent episode of Meet The Press, LaPierre said,

“Let me hold up a mirror right now to the whole national news media and the White House.  Do you know where Chicago ranks in terms of enforcement of the federal gun laws? Out of 90 jurisdictions in the country, they ranked 90th. Why doesn’t NBC News start with: ‘Shocking news on Chicago. Of all the jurisdictions in the country, Chicago’s dead last on enforcement of the federal gun laws’?”

Politico reporter Lois Romano called LaPierre “a tired old white guy that is clinging on to something of the past.”

These people aren’t stupid. They know that Chicago has one of the most stringent set of gun laws in the nation AND one of the highest rates of gun violence in the country. They just don’t care.

It’s not about facts for them; it’s about ideology. They paraded the Newtown victims to support their efforts to disarm law-abiding Americans. That didn’t work, so now they’re turning on the insults.

Thomas Sowell said:

“If people in the media cannot decide whether they are in the business of reporting news or manufacturing propaganda, it is all the more important that the public understand that difference, and choose their news sources accordingly.”

MSNBC is everything the idiot left accuses Fox of being. Meanwhile, Fox actually reports news.

Fox’s commentary is almost always a left and right debate, too. Not the one-sided stuff on MSNBC.

Today, following a historic 13-hour filibuster on the Senate floor that ended early this morning, Sen. Rand Paul received correspondence from the White House regarding the legality and constitutionality of the U.S. government using lethal force, including drone strikes, on Americans and in U.S. territory. Sen. Paul’s repeated correspondence to President Obama’s nominee to be CIA director, John Brennan, was finally answered today, in part, with the following response from Attorney General Eric Holder: “‘Does the President have the authority to use a weaponized drone to kill an American not engaged in combat on American soil?’ The answer to that question is no.”

“This is a major victory for American civil liberties and ensures the protection of our basic Constitutional rights. We have Separation of Powers to protect our rights. That’s what government was organized to do and that’s what the Constitution was put in place to do,” Sen. Paul said. “I would like to congratulate my fellow colleagues in both the House and Senate and thank them for joining me in protecting the rights of due process.”

Sadly, the die-hards on the Left don’t agree. Or, at least, as long as their messiah is in charge, they don’t agree. If a Republican were in the White House, their hair would be on fire over the idea of a drone targeting an American citizen on American soil.
