Amoris Laetitia quote abortion euthanasia

2012 Party Platforms on Abortion:

The Republican Party adheres to a “faithful  to  the  ‘self-evident’  truths  enshrined  in  the  Declaration  of Independence, we assert the sanctity of human life and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental individual right to life which cannot be infringed. We support a human life amendment to the Constitution and endorse legislation to make clear that the Fourteenth Amendment’s protections apply to unborn children.”

The Democratic Party “strongly and unequivocally supports Roe v. Wade and a woman’s right to make decisions regarding her pregnancy, including a safe and legal abortion, regardless of ability to pay. We oppose any and all efforts to weaken or undermine that right.”

2012 Party Platforms on Euthanasia:

The Republican Party “opposes the  non-consensual  withholding  or  withdrawal  of  care  or treatment, including food and water, from people with disabilities, including newborns, as well as the elderly and infirm, just as we oppose active and passive euthanasia and assisted suicide.”

The 2012 Democratic Party had nothing to say on the matter.  However, given their support for killing unborn Americans and the results of the poll below, it’s not hard to figure what they’d say if they decided to make it a hot button issue.

Democrats and the 14th Amendment

Left v Right 14th amendment

Democrat presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders is a true Democrat.  When asked about his position on abortion, he said:

“I will fight as strong as I can to defend a woman’s right to choose. I believe that it is an outrage that Republicans who tell us how much they hate the government now want to tell every American — every American woman what she can and cannot do with her body. And I do agree with the Secretary. I don’t believe there’s any constitutional protection for the unborn.”

“I think that decision ultimately has got to be made by the woman. I have a 100 percent pro-choice voting record throughout my career. That decision must be made by the woman, must be made by her family and her physician, not by the federal government, not by the state government.”

S.S.D.D… Same Stuff, Different Day

It just never seems to end. Another Tuesday, another primary. Today Michigan and Mississippi take the spotlight. The charade that is the democrat primary had a “townhall” on Sunday in Michigan. The socialist and the lying whore tried to out-liberal each other, declaring the leaded water in Flint is all the fault of the eeevil republicans, women should be able to slaughter unborn children right up to the moment (after?) of birth, and Hillary, as all criminals are wont to do, still insists she’s done nothing wrong and isn’t worried a lick about paying any price for her felonious acts.

The Trump train chugs along, helped immensely by the ridiculous efforts of the GOP elites to deny him the nomination, which only serves to make the Trumpsters love him more. He’s called for Rubio to drop out of the race, which isn’t going to happen. The phony Floridian (just made that up) has been ordered to stay in the race to siphon votes from Cruz, the only man standing between The Donald and all-out war at the convention. The democrats are grateful this is taking the spotlight off their white trash contenders and late night comedians are praying Trump wins. The jokes would write themselves.

There was a typical Trumpster call to Redeye Radio this morning, going on and on about how he was going to bring business back to the US, make sure cars are made here in this country, deport all the illegals, build the border wall, and put millions back to work. Hell, anybody could make promises like that. The reality is it will never get done. There’s far too much resistance from the left who depend on the illegal votes and companies (including his) moving out of the states because of the onerous taxes and regulations on business. Making a profit has become a crime. If you try to keep up with how quickly Trump changed his position on almost everything you may get vertigo. I.just.don’t.trust.him.

Play Ball!

Yesterday was the beginning of exhibition games for major league baseball. Exhibition games count about as much as a republican voting in Chicago. It is, however, a harbinger of warm spring days and the renewal of the hope that springs eternal in fans of every team of a championship, even long-suffering Chicago Cubs fans, whose team is in year 108 of their 5 year rebuilding plan. Having no semblance of a life whatever, I have all the pay channels on cable, including the NFL Network and the MLB Network. I enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Indians yesterday and my beloved Cubbies start Thursday.

Oh, there were some primaries yesterday, by the way. Cankles Klintoon solidified her dominance in a race where the outcome has been a foregone conclusion since the day the Halfrican was swept into office on a magic carpet of hope and change. She even won the 11 delegates from the biggest prize, American Samoa. Bernie won Vermont and Minnesota. Rubio finally won a primary in the state that gave us Jesse “The Body” Ventura, Al Frankendickhead, and the first openly Muslim slimeball in Congress. Cruz won Oklahoma and Texas, and Trump won about everything else. The turnout, fueled by enthusiasm for The Trumpster, set records, while the democrat totals were abysmal. It seems the democrat voters were burning up their EBT cards at WalMart that day.

The primary in our state is in 2 weeks, on March 15. This state is so lopsided, they don’t even bother cheating. The last democrat governor we had won a total of 2 counties….St. Clair, across the Mississippi, and, of course, Crook County. The rest of us are obligated to send our tax money to support the graft and corruption and get virtually nothing back except that they export the criminals to prey on our white population.

SHE WILL BE UTTERING THE WORDS: “MY FELLOW AMERICANS” VERY SOON. GO TO SLEEP THINKING ABOUT THAT.

Sooper Toozedae

It was painful to type that.

At the end of our excursion into total irrelevance yesterday, Grunt made a comment about sober horses. Before today’s foray into mind-numbing inanity here’s a true story:

We had a neighbor who lived up the road named Sonny, who had several horses. He and I would ride often, since his place backed up to a county park that was bordered by a creek. On a few occasions,we’d take a Saturday afternoon ride up the road to a tavern at the edge of town. We’d trade drinks for horseback rides around the parking lot. One time it got pretty drunk out before we headed home and Sonny slipped out of the saddle and down a gully. He claimed the damn horse threw him. The six-pack ring with three cans of beer missing around the pommel horn of his saddle contradicted his opinion. It was almost dark when we got to his place and his wife Karen was not the least bit amused. She didn’t care about us, but she was worried about the animals’ risk of getting hurt coming home. Quarter horses don’t come with headlights as standard equipment. They’d been married for quite some time and Sonny knew he was riding into the proverbial Valley of The Shadow. He feared no evil… except Karen. Needless to say, that was the end of our beer-for-horseback rides. Yes, it really happened.

This is Super Tuesday. Twelve states and one territory vote today. It should be the last hurrah for Ben Carson and John, John, the Mailman’s Son Kasich. Bernie will still be campaigning, but just for the publicity. He has virtually no chance whatever. Hillary treats the blacks as a nuisance to be tolerated and they still vote for her. I believe Cruz would have some chance of besting Trump one-on-one, but Rubio, the establishment stalking horse, is in it just to split the vote. Our primary here in Illinois is not until March 15, and by then everything will have been decided.

There was a news item, which I will link to, about Trump meeting along with other republican and democrats candidates and the New York Times editorial board. Part of the meeting was on the record, part was (supposedly) off the record. Trump allegedly made claims about his phony stance on illegal immigration to get the nomination. For a supposedly smart man, it is unfathomable that he would think everything would not end up being “leaked” by some unknown source. I have a feeling that after the general election season starts there are a lot of things that the democrats are keeping in their back pocket to harm what slight chance The Donald has of beating The Bitch. Two words….Mark Foley. The day AFTER the close of nominations they showed up with the suggestive e-mails he sent to a 16 year old House page. He disappeared the next day and hasn’t been seen or heard since. They have no qualms about playing dirty as long as they win.

Why I Prefer Old Westerns

The republican primary looks more like a schoolyard game of ‘king of the hill,’ where everybody is trying to knock off the kid at the top of the hill. Cruz and Rubio are both taking shots at Trump who, in actuality, has shot himself in the proverbial foot time and again by addressing David Duke’s endorsement, the Trump University fraud, and blaming the judge in that lawsuit of being biased because he’s Hispanic. Nothing seems to make the Trumpkins waver, as he still draws thousands to hear him hurl threats and insults at everybody.

The Oscars were last night. The annual orgy of self-congratulation by stilted, jaded millionaires whining about climate change, gay rights and diversity, just not in their lily-white world. I read a lot of articles about the gala and decided not to pollute this site with all the meaningless pap.

Multi-multi millionaire finally got his award and used the occasion to whine about climate change:

But the most dramatic moment came towards the end of his speech, when he spoke forcefully about a cause that’s long been near and dear to his heart: climate change. “The Revenant was about a man’s relationship to the natural world, a world that we collectively felt in 2015 as the hottest year in recorded history. Our production needed to move to the southern tip of this planet just to be able to find snow. Climate change is real. It is happening right now. It is the most urgent threat facing our entire species, and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating. I thank you all for this amazing award tonight. Let us not take this planet for granted. I do not take tonight for granted.”

If who won last night was important to you, the list of winners is here:
http://nation.foxnews.com/2016/02/29/list-2016-academy-award-winners

While all this was going on I was watching the Encore Western Channel on demand.
Here’s why I prefer westerns:
The bad guy always gets caught/killed in the end
The cowboys never peed or pooped…no toilets in the west
Dance hall girls never took cowboys upstairs for a bucking bronco ride
The six-guns held 37 shots without reloading
When people got shot, there was no recoil backwards and no blood around the wound
The Indians were all white guys wearing shirts so only their faces needed makeup
They all had headbands to hold om their cheap wigs
The good guys could shoot two redskins off galloping horses with one shot
The Indians spoke in deliciously racist terms like:
‘white man speak with forked tongue’
‘me sendum to happy hunting ground’
‘you needum much wampum for Injun maid’
The walk-on actors never had guns… only the main characters went strapped
It was all in good, clean fun. Something political correctness precludes today.
Keep your modern progress…I like it where I am.

GOP Insiders Determined to Make Their Suicide a Messy One

Mitch-the-bitch2j

With the most popular Republican Presidential candidate (and possibly the top two) in open existential warfare with the GOP leadership, it’s clear that the party, as we know it, will not survive into 2017.  A leadership change is being forced by deeply unhappy conservative voters, but the old guard leaders, represented by Senators McConnell and Graham and House Speaker Ryan (and Boehner before him) are not going quietly into the night.

In fact, recent actions by the party indicate an unthinkable level of willingness to self-destruct, even to purposely lose the election rather than allow a popular outsider like Donald Trump to win the nomination and the general election.  According to Politico, GOP leadership is taking measures to set up a possible independent run at the last minute in order to split the vote and prevent their own candidate from winning the general.

Although shockingly deceitful and destructive, such a move actually makes sense.  The current party leadership might survive another loss to Democrats with whom they share more in common than they do with their increasingly alienated constituency.  But they might not survive a huge victory by a free candidate, like Trump, “loaded for bear” against them.

Another strategy reported by the New York Times is for the GOP leadership to force a brokered convention and nominate a candidate friendlier than Trump: Marco Rubio or John Kasich – but NOT Ted Cruz.  BlurBrain commented about this as follows (emphasis mine):

Why not just run Romney or McCain again?

Once again the Party elites are bound and determined to find some way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by dumping some lackluster nominee on the unwilling Republican voters in the mistaken belief that only some Johnny Milquetoast RINO can appeal to the wider segment of society.

Dude, we tried that, TWICE and it failed…

How about for a change they just let the people decide who they want, for better or worse and then get the hell out of the way?

This election isn’t going to be about ‘likes and wants’ as much as who you hate and fear the most. And right now it seems the GOPe is siding with the Democrats.

I’ve Lived Too Long

There was a republican debate last night. From what I read, it got pretty contentious. In the end, it really won’t matter much. The cancer known as The Great Society that was inflicted on us by Lyndon Johnson has spread to all corners. The country was so strong, it took decades to succumb to the evil of socialism. First, breaking up the family by replacing the father with a welfare check. Then came free love, drug use became popular and to a large extent accepted. The leftists who protested the Vietnam War and spit on returning soldiers are now democrat politicians, newspaper editors, and college professors. They have done yeoman’s work spreading the disease with help from a union of teachers more concerned with tenure than actually teaching. Poor kids are trapped in failing schools because the liberals want no part of charter schools where a poor kid could have a chance of breaking the grip of dependency that keeps the left in control of everything.

Still, we managed to barely keep our heads above the rising floodwaters of taxation, regulation, and the terminal disease known as Barack Hussein Obama. I had hoped that by the time the communists took control of the Supreme Court I wouldn’t be here to see it. That hope was dashed yesterday with the passing of Antonin Scalia. I’m sure Barack got a diamond-hard erection when he found out he will now complete his sorry legacy with the permanent shift of the Supreme Court for the rest of time. Exploding deficits, nationalized healthcare, 100 million on the government dole, flooding the country with enough illegal voters-in-waiting for a permanent democrat tyranny, the rise of Islamic terrorism worldwide, and the forced participation of Christians in the debauchery of a homosexual lifestyle.

If you think you know how deep into the sewer the leftards can sink, you’re not even close. If you’ve read any comments already, I’m sorry. If you haven’t, consider yourself lucky. I’ll never post any of it here, I love the people too much. It is beyond vile. The DNC is already fundraising off his death. Hillary made the comment that republicans would “dishonor” the Constitution if they didn’t give Obama what he wants. If anybody embodies dishonor, it’s the Clintons. Obama plans to name a successor shortly, probably within a few weeks. Then the charade will begin. McConnell is claiming there will not be a vote until after a new president is elected. The whiny little pissant Harry Reid is already complaining about how awful it would be to delay the vote. Remember, he’s the one who unilaterally changed the rules from a super majority to a simple majority to force through hundreds of Barry’s hand-picked stooges for the courts. We all know how that’s going to end up. I had a number of links, but I’ve decided not to post any at this time. I’m having surgery on my other eye tomorrow, so it may be a time before I post again.

Ben Shapiro, writing for Breitbart had the same notion as I did on hearing the news yesterday:

scalia

Antonin Scalia’s Death Could Mark End of Constitution
Unlike Kennedy, Scalia represented a consistent vote for a Constitution beyond modern progressive power politics. But with his death, President Obama now has the power to appoint a fifth justice to join hard-left social engineers Elena Kagan, Sonia Sotomayor, Stephen Breyer, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg. If the Republican Senate allows President Obama to select Scalia’s successor, the left will have a complete monopoly on the Supreme Court. Within the next few years, Citizens United will be overturned, restoring limits on free speech; the Supreme Court will render the Second Amendment meaningless by reinterpreting the right to bear arms as a non-personal right; freedom of religion will be made subservient to same-sex marriage and abortion priorities; the death penalty will be ruled unconstitutional; unions will be allowed to continue confiscating the dollars of people who disagree with them politically; redistricting along leftist lines will return. Scalia ensured that the Supreme Court wasn’t a transformative institution; now it will become the chief tool in the left’s arsenal.

It’s a sad commentary on the state of conservative politics that the only thing standing between the United States and the death of its founding document was a brilliant 79-year-old jurist. But unless Republicans stand up on their hind legs now, that will certainly be the case.

New Hampshire Primary Thread

The early returns from Dixville Notch, NH:
With 100% of the votes tallied (9)
Sanders-4 votes
Kasich-3 votes
Trump-2 votes

Sanders is expected to handily defeat The Bitch. This is his back yard. What remains to be seen is how wide his appeal is outside the liberal armpit of the Northeast. On the Republican side, Trump is still the heavy favorite. The real battle is reported to be for second place between Rubio, Kasich, and…wait for it…Jeb! The South Carolina contest is next week and the country should have a little better feel about how deep the shit we’re going to be in by then.

Where’s Chrissy?

It’s been more than 4 years since I was granted the privilege of posting here. In all that time the one constant has been the best friend I’ll never meet, CtH. She is far and away the most prolific producer of quality material. It’s been since Jan. 31 since anybody’s heard from her. If anybody can make contact, please speak up. We all care about her and the crew here in the bunkhouse are sending up prayers for her welfare. I will try to continue in her stead, but what I do is a poor substitute for her talent.

Just a couple videos from the Republican debate Saturday night. The Crisco Kid whined that the GOP was ‘hiding’ it the night before the Super bowl. Turns out it drew three times the viewers of the Bern and Cankles Show.

Clearly, the biggest loser of the debate was new establishment darling Amnesty McRubio. Gov. Krispy Kreme hammered him mercilessly and some polls have him at 19% and falling.

Robot Marco Rubio: I’ll Keep Repeating My Rehearsed and Poll-Tested Lines

Establishment media darling Senator Marco Rubio embarrassed himself at the ABC GOP Debate on Saturday night.
Rubio couldn’t stop repeating his rehearsed lines and sounded like a broken record.

FOX News put together a montage of Marco Rubio’s rehearsed Obama line at tonight’s GOP Debate.
Marco used the same rehearsed line 5 times at debate.

On Sunday Marco Rubio said he’d keep repeating his rehearsed lines… keep repeating his rehearsed lines… keep repeating his rehearsed lines…

Hillary’s close personal friend and sorry excuse for a “journo-list”Martha Redass was on display trying to beat up on what may be the Butchers’ most serious opponent.

Ted Cruz Shuts Down Martha Raddatz’s Cheap Gotcha on North Korea

Barack Obama’s personal friend then interrupted:

RADDATZ: Senator Cruz you have talked tough about this, you have talked tough about the Mideast — you haven’t gotten intelligence briefings about that. Why not tell us if you would pre-emptively strike a missile on a lunch pad that threatened the U.S.?

At this point, Cruz shut Raddatz down:

CRUZ: With due respect, I have gotten intelligence briefings on the Mideast. Those have been going on for many years. I haven’t gotten the intelligence briefings tonight on what North Korea is doing because I’m here in New Hampshire. And when you are responding to an immediate incident, you need to know the intelligence of what’s occurring.
