The Democrat Elite

Hillary Clinton told Dianne Sawyer she can relate to the pain of average America, because … you know … she and Bill left the White House “dead broke” and had to “really struggle.”  Riiiiiiiiiiiiight.

  • Bill and Hillary left the White House with Bill’s presidential pension, a guaranteed minimum income of $200,000/year.
  • Bill then received a $12 million advance on his memoir. It is estimated that he has earned around $41 million since as a speaker and another $15 million for investment advice.
  • Hillary has earned about $5 million in speaking fees, plus her salaries as a New York Senator and then Secretary of State.
  • Their home in Bedford Hills, NY, is worth nearly $11 million.

The average employed American household earns about $50,000 per year. The Clintons pull down $200,000 for a single speech.  But yeah … I’m sure they know what regular Americans are facing in this Democrat economy she and her cronies helped create. NOT.

The Democrat War on Blacks

Democrat Party 2012 Platform on Abortion: “The Democratic Party strongly and unequivocally supports Roe v. Wade and a woman’s right to … safe and legal abortion, regardless of ability to pay. We oppose any and all efforts to weaken or undermine that right.”

Democrats routinely oppose all efforts to protect the safety of women undergoing abortion, labeling them attempts to weaken abortion rights, even when they are about making abortion clinics abide by the same health and safety regulations as other out-patient surgical medical clinics, tattoo parlors, hair salons, and restaurants. Clearly, when Democrats say “safe and legal”, what they mostly mean is “legal.” As for the line “regardless of ability to pay”, this has been the basis for their assaults on religious liberty since the passage of Obamacare.

Leading causes of death in AA since 1973

Republican Party 2012 Platform on Abortion: “We assert the sanctity of human life and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental individual right to life which cannot be infringed. … We oppose using public revenues to promote or perform abortion or fund organizations which perform or advocate it.”

The Republican party was founded expressly to end slavery. Abraham Lincoln was our first Republican president. Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., was a Republican, as were all African-Americans in post-Civil War America.  The Jim Crow laws designed to prevent Blacks from voting were passed by Democrats to try and keep the Republican candidates from winning.

My smoking hair

The HEADLINES about the VA scandal have been making my hair stand up and smoke. I couldn’t bear to read the stories until Dearest talked to our Rep. Tom Reed and learned VA services in our area appear to be good. Phew. I’ve got a kid who uses them for a war injury. My heart goes out to those who are NOT getting care, but relieved my inner Mama Grizzly can calm down and take a BREATH about one piece of good news. Plus, my hair.

Leading liberals have long touted the VA as an efficient model of government-run health care.

  • In 2009, New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof, wrote, “The system for veterans is by all accounts one of the best-performing and most-cost-effective elements in the American medical establishment.”
  • In 2011, New York times columnist Paul Krugman called the VA a “huge success story.”

Yeah, right.

  • Whistleblowers have now identified 26 VA facilities around the country experiencing similar problems. One says illegal dealing of VA pharmaceuticals was a daily occurrence at his hospital.
  • In Los Angeles, federal bureaucrats tried to cover up their decade-long backlog by simply canceling 40,000 diagnostic tests and treatments for American veterans with cancer and other illnesses.
  • One veteran who had a small spot on his forehead confirmed as cancerous in 2011, but was forced to wait four months before having it removed, by which time, it had spread and has since killed him.

The Republican-dominated House of Representatives has passed a DOZEN VA reform bills; they’re all gathering dust in the Democrat-dominated Senate.

GOP Rep: House Passed VA Bills Collecting Dust On Reid’s Desk

My FOX news update email said the VA scandal “has become a crushing burden for vulnerable Democrats.”

Good! I hope it squashes the corruptocrats FLAT.

Apologies for my lack of attention to this regular feature. This subject upsets me so much, I was literally SHAKING by the end of my blogging day on Saturday. Keeping track of where I read what just didn’t happen.

Howard Dean is a total jerk

Former DNC Chair Howard Dean says Republicans aren’t American. Silly me. I thought I had to be an American BEFORE I could register Republican. Do we really need to ask the question, “What would happen if a Republican had said this about Democrats?”

Hypocrite thy name is Democrat

Martha Robertson Jailhouse Crock

Robertson is running for Congress is my district against the Republican incumbent, Tom Reed, who is a PROVEN CONSERVATIVE with a real heart for listening and representing ALL his constituents.

One time, I wrote to him about a vote I thought I disagreed with, but his response convinced me he’d done his homework and voted correctly. He agreed with me in principle, but said the text of the specific bill was seriously problematic.

Dearest has also met him personally a number of times in small sessions with local Republican leaders and watched him manage larger townhall style meetings where tempers can get hot. He said he’s a good man and an excellent representative.

Dearest has also met Robertson and seen her operate. She’s a female Chuck Schumer. Neither of us would vote for her if she was running unopposed. I read her blog for a while, but it made my head spin so I stopped. One time, she went on about how she really does not get at all why Republicans make such a big deal about the American flag. Another time, she preened about going to the trouble to visit a new polling space that had been volunteered by a church to make sure no voter would have to see a cross or other religious symbol!

SERIOUSLY?  Are Leftists really so far out of touch with reality that they can simultaneously freak out about a voter seeing a cross on a wall, but not understand the flag?

Oh wait … yes, they can. In fact, they do it ALL THE TIME!

Touré doesn’t understand

MLK III says here that African-Americans should engage with the Tea Party.  Touré doesn’t understand why.

“Touré doesn’t understand” is pretty much true for every issue that matters to our nation.

For example, he says in this clip that “LBJ stepped forward with civil rights bills.”  Sorry, pal, but LBJ was a flaming racist who was forced into signing bills the Republican majorities passed.

Still, this short clip is worth watching just to see the priceless look on Touré’s face at the end.

Hysterical GOP candidate response to Dumbocrat attack

The following is from an article at Catholic Vote:

Democrat Rep. Gary Peters of suburban Detroit is normally a very strong campaigner. But he’s having a tougher time than expected as he tries to win the Senate seat of retiring Democrat Carl Levin.

To help him sagging poll numbers, Peters thought he would bring back the “war on women” campaign tactic that proved very successful for Democrats in 2012.

Surely you remember the faux “war or women.” This is where feminists and Democratic candidates went before tv cameras and aired commercials asserting that if Republicans like Mitt Romney won women would somehow be unable to purchase contraception anymore.

What?!?

The Pill has been readily available at every corner drug store for over 50 years. Contraception has even been subsidized by state and federal governments for decades.

No political candidate has suggested making the Pill illegal.

We expect politicians to lie, but the “war on women” attack has got to be the most disingenuous political attack of the last 50 years.

If you don’t favor forcing businesses to offer contraception as a free benefit to employees, then somehow you are “anti-woman” and you want to make contraception illegal.

It’s a total lie. But it worked in 2012. So Gary Peters went for this attack and called his opponent “anti-woman.”

The only problem? Gary Peters’ opponent is a woman.

And Terri Lynn Land refused to let this garbage attack go unanswered. She pounced on Peters’ nonsense talk with a very clever ad of her own.

Terri Lynn Land’s reply to Gary Peters’ attack < FUNNY!

This Democrat called his opponent anti-woman. You have to watch the response.
