RIP Political Satire
I mentioned to my husband this week that I felt sorry for the political satirists, because the Obama Era has made reality so absurd, there was nowhere left for them to go. As evidence, I offer this from today’s news …
A satire site did a fake news story about how Ted Cruz told a wounded veteran he should sell cookies to raise money for his care. David Nelson News, Occupy Democrats and a host of dimwitted Leftist tweeters passed it on as a true tale.
One IJ Review commenter noted, “As usual the low information liberals can’t tell a real story from the truth, it is no wonder they continue to fall for the lies of hillary and obama.”
- To his credit, when corrected, Nelson deleted his tweet and apologized.
- Occupy still has it posted as of this writing (7 a.m. on May 12).
One Occupy commenter noted, “Cruz is the worst P O S that has ever came out of the Republican Turd pipe !….EVER !…”
I added my two cents, “This ‘news’ story was taken from a SATIRE site. It’s no wonder our nation is in such a mess when voters can’t be bothered to separate jokes from truth. “I can see Russia from my house!” was also a joke, made by Tina Fey on SNL. How many of you were so eager to believe that Sarah Palin is a moron that you couldn’t care less that she never said it? The fact is you CAN see a small island belonging to Russia from a small island belonging to Alaska.”

Ted Cruz is just as eligible as Barack Obama ever was. Their mothers were American citizens; their fathers (of record*) were foreigners.

I think his real father was an American who knocked up Ann Dunham at the end of her senior year in high school and that this is the reason the Dunhams suddenly moved to Hawaii that summer. It was 1961. A single mom having a bi-racial bastard was easier to cover up in Hawaii than in Seattle. I think Obama’s real birth was probably in March and that the August date was faked up to make it possible for the handy and willing Barack Sr. to swap his name for a green card.

Pray you are among the elect
Notice how he assumes that Congress will vote that he IS flouting the law? He knows he is; he just doesn’t care. And why should he? Ever since he got into office, he has flouted the law, betrayed our trust with lie after lie after lie … and gotten away with it every single time!
A majority of Americans oppose Obama’s actions. We proved that when we elected a Republican majority to Congress.
But we don’t have a veto-proof majority. Plus, the senior Republican leadership are RINOs who roll over whenever their Democrat massahs want something badly enough. I strongly suspect the Progressives who are really running the show have blackmail-worthy files on every one of them.
Even more pertinent, we don’t have the media.
How did this all go so wrong so fast?
My personal belief is that it wasn’t fast. Satan’s been preparing for the destruction of America for the past 100 years and he’s about to succeed. Our nation has been the greatest force for freedom on the planet; it’s destruction is essential before Anti-Christ can force all nations into his One World Government.
Please get yourself right with God this Lent.

The Wisconsin governor continued his pivot toward the right in his CPAC speech Thursday, and the crowd loved it.
“Here in America there is a reason we celebrate the Fourth of July and not April 15th,” Walker said. “Because in America, we celebrate our independence from the government, not our dependence on it.”
Walker got an unexpected opportunity to flex his legendary anti-union muscles on stage when protesters interrupted his speech by shouting from the crowd.
“Those voices cannot drown out the millions of Americans who want us to stand up for the hardworking taxpayers,” Walker said to the protesters.

King Obama vs. Constitutional Scholar Obama
The U.S. Constitution requires the combined agreement of the House, the Senate and the President to make, change or strike down a law. The only one of these three that can be ignored is the last one; if the President vetoes a law, Congress can still pass it, if there are enough votes. But nothing, Nothing, NOTHING gives any president the right to unilaterally make, change or strike down a law. The law may be the law, but the Obama administration is still going to appeal the injunction and try to force King Obama’s decree on us. The case will now move to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans.
