Krauthammer Pans New Obamacare Offensive: You Can’t ‘Repeal Reality with Rhetoric’ [8:56]
Obama’s approval rating dropped 9 points in one month, hitting the lowest point ever (37%) in CBS polling of Adult Americans. Obamacare approvaldropped 12 points in one month, also hitting the lowest point ever (31%) in CBS polling.
Obamacare disapproval is not only high (61%), but VERY high when you factor in that three-quarters of these STRONGLY disapprove.
7% think the Affordable Care Act is working well.
48% think changes are needed to make it work better.
October 25, 2013: Reuters reports that the City of Detroit is broke and cannot pay its 23,500 government pensioners what was promised to them. Pensioners will thus be seeing their checks cut by 84%.
GOVERNMENT depends on TAX INCOME to pay its bills.
BUSINESSES with property and employees PAY MOST TAXES.
DEMOCRAT policies:
increase government spending and the number of citizens dependent on the government for their income, while simultaneously
driving businesses and their jobs away, thus reducing the tax income that pays for the government’s spending.
The OUTCOME is always the same:
the DEMOCRAT government goes broke;
the DEMOCRAT government can’t pay all those people depending on government checks;
the DEMOCRAT government cuts off payments to all those people depending on government checks;
DEMOCRATS blame Republicans.
What the government GIVES, the government can TAKE AWAY.
And what DEMOCRATS did to Detroit, they have been doing to the entire nation.
This has been painfully obvious since they took MAJORITY CONTROL in DC in January 2007.
FOX News: Homeland Security is preparing for riots on Nov 1 2013 [4:36]
For a long time, I’ve been seeing this Left vs. Right as a part of the battle in the big war between the followers of Satan and the followers of YAHWEH.
October 31 is the highest holy day (Samhain) in the Satanic church.
November 1 is the Feast of All Saints for Catholics.
Remember when Bush was in office and people still had jobs? Remember when the economy crashed and Democrats wept, wailed and gnashed their teeth about the suffering of POOR PEOPLE (at the hands of evil Republicans of course cuz like they had “nothing” to do with creating or crashing the housing bubble … not).
Democrats are way dirtier than Republicans, maybe because the media protects them. But it is interesting to note that the Republicans who are up to their ears in slime are the same Republicans who do the “bend over and vote Democrat” dance every time anything really matters.
IMHO, if you want to find a CLEAN politician in Washington, D.C., just look for the ones the MSM and both Democrat and Republican party big wigs condemn as “extremists” and hang out to dry whenever a vote truly matters.
Republicans want to cut food stamp funding. Democrats will be sure to weep, wail and gnash their teeth about evil Republicans who want children and old people to starve.
As you listen to the theater, remember that just last week, Obama was all set to FREEZE November food stamp payments if he didn’t get his debt limit increased. Also remember this one … in 2010, Democrats STOLE food stamp funds to pay off their big union campaign donors.

I love Thomas Sowell. One of his books totally turned me around from being a dumb “I just want to be nice and feel good about myself” Liberal to an educated “If policies hurt people, they need to be changed” Conservative.
I was particularly impressed by Sowell’s discussion of how rent control laws drive housing costs up and housing quality/availability down, thereby most harming those at the bottom of the socio-economic heap. The two cities in the U.S. that have the oldest and strictest rent control laws – New York and San Francisco – also have the highest housing costs. This is not a coincidence. The laws CAUSED it.
I was better able to follow Sowell’s data on the rent control issue than on some other, less familiar topics, because dh and I once were part owners and full-time, live-in managers of a 6-unit apartment building. We were there from the initial investment – finding a property and purchasing it – through renovating, managing and living with tenants as neighbors, and finally selling it.
I completely understood what Sowell was saying about rent control laws, not only because I’d been a renter for many years and then seen every aspect of the mechanics of owning rental property, but also because I’d visited a friend once in a rent controlled apartment in NYC. It was a tiny, crappy little place that he paid way too much to live in because housing was so scarce. The landlord wouldn’t do anything to maintain the place, because he wasn’t getting most of the rent the tenant paid.
The landlord – who had invested in the building and had to pay all the bills and taxes – only got the capped, controlled amount of rent the law allowed. It was the renter who had happened to be in unit when rent control went into effect who was making money off the deal! It was a total scam. This person had nothing of her own invested in or at risk and did nothing at all to maintain the property. She didn’t even live in the building any more. She just kept the lease in her name, so the landlord couldn’t legally raise the rent; then she sub-let to other people, who she charged more than she paid the landlord!
I was totally not surprised to learn in the video that the very first minimum wage law was designed to benefit white union workers at the expense of black non-union workers. Minimum wage is just another example of how the Left demonizes the Right as “uncaring” when it is the Left’s policies that most hurt the poor.
