House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s office in Bakersfield, California was vandalized Monday.

The suspects threw a giant boulder through McCarthy’s office window then stole office equipment.

“Does anyone know these two guys? They threw a boulder thru our office window and took office equipment.” Kevin McCarthy wrote on an Instagram post with a blurry photo of one of the suspects.

Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) is introducing a bill aimed at closing that gap. His idea is to give lower-income kids a sizable nest egg (nearly $50,000 in some cases) that they could use for wealth-building purchases, like a down payment on a house or college tuition.

These “opportunity accounts” would, theoretically, make sure all children have significant assets when they enter adulthood, rather than just those who grow up in wealthier homes.

In SC, Kamala ‘Free Stuff’ Harris Fuels Speculation Of A 2020 Presidential Run

In Lower Richland, Harris used part of her stop on Friday to tout her latest tax proposal, called the “LIFT Act.”

Announced on Thursday, the legislation would help U.S. families earning less than $100,000 year become eligible for a monthly tax credit of up to $500, or $6,000 a year, The Sacramento Bee reported. Individuals who earn less than $50,000 a year would be eligible for up to $250 a month, or $3,000 a year.
