CATHOLIC: [5:07] – A “proudly gay female” who goes by Jetty Nique attempted to receive Holy Eucharist at the 10 a.m. Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in St. Cloud, FL. Because she didn’t open her mouth or reply “Amen” when he said, “Body of Christ,” Father Rodriguez asked her when she has last received the Sacrament or gone to Confession. She refused to tell him, so he gave her only a blessing.

She re-presented herself for Communion at the 12 p.m. Mass, at which point he said he was not judging her but needed to know if she had gone to Confession. She told him it was “not his business” then extended her arm and crumbled several consecrated hosts. The priest struggled to restrain the woman as she refused to let go of the hosts. When she pushed him, the priest, unable to use one hand because he was holding the ciborium, bit her hand so she would let go of the hosts. She was immediately asked to leave.”

She reported the incident to the police as assault. “He wouldn’t give me the cookie. I don’t know if it was the way I was dressed, or if it is what I like,” she told police. The priest informed them that yes, “I bit her, I am not denying that. I am defending myself and the sacrament.” The full video and the police report show the woman initiated physical contact and acted inappropriately.

According to the local media, the St. Cloud police department has handed the case over to the Florida Attorney General’s office for further investigation.  The Diocese of Orlando has defended Father Rodriguez saying, “he was simply attempting to prevent an act of desecration of the Holy Communion, which, as a priest, Father Rodriguez is bound by duty to protect.”

COVID-19: The NY Post articles linked below details how NIH senior adviser Dr. David Morens deliberately deleted government records and used his private email account to deliberately dodge records requests from the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic. More than one email show that Tony Fauci was involved in preventing the victims of his government mandates from knowing knowing the facts behind them all.

EVs: The Biden admin set a goal of building half a million electric vehicle charging stations in the United States by the year 2030. During the three years that Mayor Pete has been in charge of Transpo, they have built eight. I’m not complaining about the lack of EV stations, but I surely would like to know what they did with the $7.5 BILLION we taxpayers got dinged for this long con back in 2021.

PHILATELY: Even if you’re not interested in stamps or space flight, this episode is worth watching. [8:18] – “No idea what this event was.” ::sigh:: I was in COLLEGE when this happened. It was a very BIG deal at the time. I’m so sad that it’s been forgotten … except by space enthusiasts and philatelists. So score another one for my awesome hobby. 🙂

Democrats Weaponize the Justice System

The following is by Catherine Yang at The Epoch Times:

After six weeks, former President Donald Trump’s criminal trial is nearing an end, with closing arguments set to begin May 28. Here’s what to know to catch up with the case.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg charged Trump with 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree, a class E felony.

New York Business Law 175.10 states: “A person is guilty of falsifying business records in the first degree when he commits the crime of falsifying business records in the second degree, and when his intent to defraud includes an intent to commit another crime or to aid or conceal the commission thereof.

The second crime in this case is conspiracy “to promote or prevent the election of any person to a public office by unlawful means,” say prosecutors, but Trump was not directly charged with conspiracy.

The 34 allegedly falsified records are 11 checks cut to Michael Cohen, ex-lawyer to Trump, and the corresponding vouchers and invoices. Prosecutors allege these payments, categorized as legal expenses, were reimbursement for money Cohen paid to Stephanie Clifford, better known as adult actress Stormy Daniels, as part of a scheme to influence the 2016 elections.

To prove their case, prosecutors need to show that Trump had the intent to defraud – more specifically, the intent to conceal the alleged conspiracy – when causing these records to be created. There is no proof requirement that the goal of the conspiracy was to promote the election of a person by unlawful means, or the extent of Trump’s participation. The jury will be instructed on the concept of accessorial liability, which explains that Trump did not have to commit the crimes himself in order to be criminally liable.

On the witness stand, Cohen painted the picture of urgency in mid-October 2016: representatives for Stormy Daniels were pressing him to close the deal on her story of an alleged sexual encounter with Trump, or it would go to another news outlet. Meanwhile, he claimed his boss instructed him to “delay, delay, delay,” because if they could push it past the election in just a few weeks, they wouldn’t need to pay; the story would no longer matter.

Clifford declared the contract null and void, and Cohen caved. He testified that, with Trump’s approval, he made a $130,000 payment.

Cohen also testified to being intensely angry later that year, when he discovered his bonus had been cut by two-thirds from what he typically received. It prompted discussions with former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg, who purportedly drew up plans to reimburse Cohen $130,000 for the payment to Clifford and $50,000 for an earlier payment to Red Finch he said he still hadn’t been reimbursed for. The sum was then doubled to $360,000 to account for taxes, and then Weisselberg added $60,000 to supplement Cohen’s bonus.

Prosecutors had claimed Weisselberg’s “grossing up” the figures for tax purposes was evidence he intended to conceal reimbursement as income, satisfying the elements of the crime.

Weisselberg, currently serving a five-month prison sentence for perjury in a separate case, did not testify.

Jurors were told to expect a long day when they come back from the Memorial Day long weekend.

On Tuesday, prosecutors will sum up their case by reminding jurors of what they believe is the most compelling evidence. Beyond Cohen’s and Clifford’s testimonies, most witnesses were called for to authenticate records like call logs, texts, and emails, which were then entered into evidence.

But for the defense, especially having called only two witnesses, this will be a key moment to present their own narrative.

Defense attorneys are expected to argue that nothing criminal occurred as non-disclosure agreements are legal, as is the payment of an attorney for legal services, and that influencing an election through lawful means cannot be a crime.

They will not be allowed to offer their interpretation of the statutes invoked in the prosecutors’ novel legal theory, as it is the judge’s job to instruct the jury on how to interpret the law.

But, they can be expected to try to poke as many holes they can find in the evidence prosecutors presented, arguing the district attorney failed to meet the burden of proving Trump had any intent to defraud.

These summations should take up the better part of the day, and the judge expects his instructions to last an hour.

Then it is up to the jury to deliberate. They will have as long as they need, but if the 12 jurors cannot come to a unanimous verdict, the result is a mistrial.

LOCKDOWN: Remember the New Jersey gym owners, Ian Smith and Frank Trumbetti, who opened up during lockdowns and got slapped with $165,000 in fines by the state? During the pandemic, they pointed out the hypocrisy of the state declaring that liquor stores were “essential”, but places where people could come to work on their physical and mental health had to close. I’d like to ditto that for churches, which were also forced to close, while casinos were allowed to open. The MAL* raid was an unprecedented action with significant potential for confusion and blue on blue issues and conflict. It also involved competing equities between federal agencies (FBI & USSS*) with equal statutory claims to interrupt the other’s activities. Anyone telling you otherwise is either dumb, or playing dumb. I’ve done more deconfliction with Russians in a foreign op I did for the USSS than the FBI did in their search warrant at MAL. BIDENOMICS: When I was a kid, my father rarely did any grocery shopping. But one day he decided we should really stock up, so he and our mom took me and my little brother. We each took a cart, which he filled to overflowing. One of them had nothing in it but meat. When we got to the checkout line, my brother was so excited by the long, long, loooong tape streaming out of the register that he insisted we each guess the total. NIH: On Thursday, National Institutes of Health (NIH) director Lawrence Tabak finally admitted to Congress that U.S. taxpayers did, in fact, fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China in the months and years before the COVID-19 pandemic.

He and Fauci have both been saying for years that this never happened. And it certainly should not have happened, particularly during the years when it was specifically banned by federal law. BUT, says Tabak, the gain-of-function research the NIH approved and used our money to helped fund wasn’t the BAD kind. Really!

And I suppose we can all take your word on that, right? ::eyeroll:: CLICK https://rumble.com/v4vnqg3-nih-official-admits-taxpayers-funded-gain-of-function-research-in-wuhan-aft.html to hear then and now.

TRANS: A study entitled “Risk of Suicide and Self-Harm Following Gender-Affirmation Surgery” was published in Cureus on April 2, 2024. It reported on the results of research, funded in part by the NIH, that examined health care data from more than 90 million patients across the U.S.

From this data, they isolated adults aged 18-60 who had attempted or committed suicide and divided them up by (a) those who had had so-called “gender affirmation” surgery, (b) those who had had a tubal ligation or vasectomy, and (c) those who had had neither.

They found that those who had had so-called “gender affirmation” surgery were five times more likely to self-harm than those who had had tubal ligation or vasectomy and twelve times more likely than those who had had neither.

TRUMP: Michael Cohen, who has done prison time for lying under oath, has been exposed as a man who is willing to ::gasp:: lie under oath. Cohen was the only real witness the prosecution had. After Trump’s lawyer trashed him on Thursday, the prosecution rested. On Friday, the Trumps were allowed to attend Barron’s high school graduation ceremony in Florida. The trial is expected to last a couple more weeks as the defense does their thing.

George Washington law professor, Jonathan Turley, wrote, “Even hosts and commentators on CNN are now criticizing the prosecution and doubting the basis for any conviction. The question is whether the jury itself is realizing that they are being played by the prosecution.

Maher reported that, on the stand, Daniels testimony was a litany of Me Too buzz words. Among other things, she said Trump “was bigger and blocking the way. … There was an imbalance of power for sure. … My hands were shaking so hard.

But in 2018, when Maher interviewed her about the same incident, she insisted she was “not a Me Too case. I wasn’t assaulted. I wasn’t attacked, or raped, or coerced or blackmailed [by Trump]…. They tried to shove me in the Me Too box to further their own agenda. And first of all, I didn’t want to be part of that because it’s not the truth and I’m not a victim in that regard.
