    There is a narrative in your selection here that rings true to me. Yes, there is already economic hell for many, many American families. I see it everyday. So do each of you, I’m sure. Yes, Obama is not worried about it, or so he says. And there is a disgruntled Democrat calling Rush Limbaugh to ask who would be good to primary Obama. That poor Democrat is desperate, and so is half the country. I don’t think the Democrats are going to put up with this much longer – James Carville’s remarks about rioting in the street, and Bill Clinton’s remarks to Paul Ryan about medicare reform tell me something is afoot. Senate Democrats are feeling the shame of not producing a budget. I’m not sure who appointed the Washerwoman chairman of the DNC, but that could be part of it, too. She is a gift to the country, really.

      And in other news, Mama Buzz went shopping and brought home a copy of Sarah Palin’s Alaska for us!

      We don’t subscribe to cable t.v. and there is no reception here otherwise. It’s a deliberate choice we made in 1979. My t.v.-addicted sibs had a pool going for “How soon after they have kids will they break down and buy an electronic baby sitter?” They all lost.

      We do, however, LOVE the technologies that emerged as our kids were growing up … VHS and a nearby rental store, then low cost movies, then DVD and Netflix. I LOVE NETFLIX.

      And I think the ability to pre-screen and use the PAUSE button during viewings are some of the most powerful parental tools available. With broadcast t.v., it’s just too hard to truly control what they watch or make sure you’re there when they’re seeing something you want to discuss with them. Plus I KNOW we would not have the discipline to stop a show to discuss or discipline when it meant missing part of the story.

      Only occasionally does something air on t.v. that we really want to see. But most of it eventually makes it to DVD, so we just wait. And it’s so fun when it happens, like now. We get to see Sarah and her family and ALASKA!

      Well done, Denise! LOL And wow … some of them are really raunchy! LOL But the contest was for porn names. So duh.

      Anyway, I love the winner “Tweet L. Dum” … beautiful. Not raunchy so I can share it here :o) AND really clever.

      These IOTW contest entries always amaze me. I used to try to think of even one to enter, but my mind just doesn’t work that way, so now I content myself with waiting for the wit of others to enrich my life.

      I went to college with a girl who had this kind of mind. There was a word game she tried on all of us. I can’t remember how it went, except that I got stuck at four and she could keep it up until she hit eleven or twelve. She was great fun at parties! LOL

        I don’t know if you remember me, but I remember you from both Hillbuzz and HoneyTrail (I hadn’t seen you at The Conservative Treehouse, but AFinch was kind enough to point me here to find you.)

        I always appreciated your contributions. Your images were (and still are) awesome. I realized today that one of my older posts (about unemployment rates under Clinton, Bush, and now Obama) linked to images of yours that used to be on hillbuzz, but are not any longer.           Thank you for the welcome… I didn’t know about this blog until today. I don’t know how often I’ll be able to check in, since the list of sites I try to visit daily is already more than I can realistically keep up with (drudgereport, HotAir, MichelleMalkin, and all of the blogs on my current blogroll… to which I’ll be happy to add PoliNation). I wasn’t online the weekend that HoneyTrail went down, so I don’t really know much about what happened (and don’t really need to know). I wasn’t aware that multiple sites came out of that. I got a person invite to one of the others, and have been there since HoneyTrail was deleted.

          It’s good to see some old friends here, too!
