What was the point of that “math” video? Are the makers of it trying to equate math with evolution? If so, the level of ignorance displayed by the people who produced it is, quite simply, stunning. If it’s a joke, I didn’t get it. Must be slow this morning.

I didn’t think those girls looked like beauty pageant material so went to YouTube and found it posted with a real beauty pageant video where the girls were answering “Should evolution be taught in schools?” I think the math one is trying to put math on the same level as evolution, which is the usual dim-witted thing evolutionists do who have no clue what Intelligent Design is actually about.
I used to be in the camp that many Catholics occupy, where the general attitude is, “If evolution occurred, then God did it.” Since my faith is based on a personal relationship with Jesus and the historical evidence of His life, death and resurrection, I don’t care much one way or the other about evolution. However, I find it interesting, so when I came across ID stuff, I explored and found it fascinating, especially the DVDs by Illustra Media, which I own and watch over and over.
Expelled is really good too.
I read (tried to) Signature in the Cell, which is amazing and IMHO totally sinks neo-Darwinian atheistic evolution, but it’s thick, densely written and had a lot of science stuff I had to skim over, not having the background to understand it. I passed it on to a relative who is a Catholic biology teacher. Unless you’re a scientist, I’d suggest you get it out of the library and read the bits you can understand.

I was taught evolution in biology class in high school — not as theory, but as fact. The teacher was a true believer and he taught it with great conviction (and he actually was a very good teacher, one of the best I had in public school) — but I just didn’t find it persuasive. It would have taken more faith for me to believe that everything just sort of happened randomly and we ended up with a huge and complex universe, than to believe in a Creator. As an explanation for why things are the way they are, I just find intelligent design to be more plausible than Darwinism.

Clearly, this was written by a clueless Obama supporter. Everything we needed to know about exactly how ObamaFail would govern was AVAILABLE. It just wasn’t handed over on a platter by so-called “serious journalists” in the Laughing Stock Media or served up on little baby spoons by celebrities like Oprah.

The taxidermy ad is a hoot, though I’m not sure if it was deliberate. I mean … the monotone live person who sounds almost dead advertising how life-like his dead animals are is funny. But is it a clever piece of irony or just a really amateurish commercial starring a guy with zero stage presence? I can’t tell.

Answer to our prayers for a peaceful end to the manhunt …
The 20-year-old surrendered, state police said.
“He gave himself up easily,” police Capt. Francis Coots told the newspaper.
Authorities had believed he was armed, possibly suicidal and should be considered dangerous, having reportedly said he would force police to shoot him to end his life.
It wasn’t clear if Marcum was armed when he was captured.
