That poor baker! I have not gotten into Groupon, but maybe I should. My daughter bought one of the coupons for a local restaurant, but she never could get a reservation on a night she could go before the thing expired, so she lost what she had in it. I have been reluctant to get involved in that kind of thing.
The flash mob at the 7-11 was down right scary.
I don’t know what will happen with the Dem lawsuit to share control of the state Senate. I used to think I could predict the outcomes of such things based on a reasonable interpretation of the situation, but no more…..
I bet everyone is as tired as I am tonight trying to get ready for Thanksgiving. Today was the cleaning day, but I didn’t finish. Cooking starts tomorrow. I have 21 for dinner on Thanksgiving – maybe 23. It will be a joy to have them here, and I really don’t mind the preparation at all. (Well, maybe just a little, but I will have forgotten all about it by the time everyone I love arrives.)

Every day is a cleaning day for me…and I’m NEVER finished. Just once, I’d like to feel like the whole house is clean! People tell me it will get better when my kids are older. We shall see…

It will get better. But I can’t get my whole house clean all at once, either. Today was just the downstairs! I would like it to be like a hotel room – even all the trash cans empty. That will never happen, though. Thank goodness nobody is spending the night this year, so I hope the upstairs will not be seen.

I love having all of our bedrooms upstairs; well, until I have to haul laundry. But for when I’m expecting people over it’s nice to not have to clean upstairs if I don’t have the time or energy.

Just got this in email: “I am wondering if any of your have phone numbers that are local to a military base. With everyone using cell phones, it is hard for me to tell who I might be able to call using a morale call. Here is how it works: I can call any military base from the phones here at work for free. From there the base will patch me to any phone number that is local for free and give me 30 minutes for the call.” :o)

Got this from a Massachusetts resident: “I like Romney. I liked him for the most part as governor and I think he is the only one who has the economic expertise to have a prayer at getting this country out of the economic mess that we are in. I think he would need to name a solid military person either as his Vice President or in his Cabinet, but he is smart enough to know what his weaknesses are and what he needs to offset them. I can just feel the Democrats gearing up the smear machine — between his being a Mormon and trying to tie him into Obama Care. I was here. Our hospitals were having major financial problems because they treated everyone and a lot of people were unable to pay. He was trying to solve a problem. He did not mandate that everyone had to buy insurance from the state. He actually encouraged private insurance. But he also mandated that people had to have some form of insurance. Otherwise a number of the smaller hospitals would have gone under — in sections of the state that couldn’t afford to go without them. Although at the time I would have preferred a governor who would have knocked a few heads together, I now realize that type of Republican governor would never have accomplished anything. It’s the same thing for Scott Brown, someone I deeply respect.”

Saw “Mars Needs Moms” last night. As expected, it was a nice, entertaining animated feature for kids. Pleasantly unexpected was the underlying pro-right, anti-left message! Check it out.
