End of Watch

Yesterday the men and women dedicated to upholding the law gathered for a solemn memorial to mourn their colleagues who had been senselessly gunned down by a madman in Dallas. Men they had laughed and cried with; worked everything from traffic stops to domestic disputes to homicides. The civilized peoples of a still-free country felt the pain along with them. Among the dignitaries there to eulogize these men were the governor, the chief of police, former president George W. Bush, vice president Joe Biden, and president Barack Obama.

Obama just couldn’t help himself. He could not, even for one day, make it about anything but himself. He began by mentioning the slain officers and quickly went off on a tangent about racism and gun control. His ode to himself lasted about 40 minutes. No normal person could endure that without his eardrums hemorrhaging, so here’s a synopsis:

They were there presenting a check following Thursday’s tragedy in downtown Dallas. It’s money the 11 year olds earned selling lemonade over the weekend.

“20 gallons,” Landry said. “We went through a lot of lemonade.”

A dollar here and there turned into hundreds, and by the end of the weekend, the girls raised thousands of dollars.

The Republican National Convention is planned to kick off in Cleveland next Monday. Whether or not the #Never Trumpers manage to deny him the nomination on the first ballot remains to be seen. So far, at least one challenge to the convention rules from a Virginia delegate has been rejected:

Court Sides with Donald Trump and the People – Rules Delegates Cannot Go Rogue at Convention

US District court Judge Robert E. Payne sides with the people and and rules RNC delegates must follow the election results and cannot be stolen at the national election. The delegates must vote according to convention rules and cannot go rogue at convention.
Specifically, the Court found that RNC Rule 16, which binds delegates based on their election results, “is in effect presently and that it controls the allocation and binding of delegates as to their voting at convention.” (p. 6) The Court held that the Plaintiff’s “expert testimony” from Erling ‘Curly’ Haugland was not credible, lacked “textual support,” (p.6) and that “delegates are bound by RNC Rule 16.” (p. 7)

Those Republicans hoping to vanquish Donald Trump from the nomination process on the convention floor next week received good news from a federal court in Virginia Monday.

According to a statement from the organization known as Delegates Unbound, a verdict was reached on the right of delegates to vote for whichever presidential candidate they wish at the convention as opposed to casting their ballots that follow the state primary results.

Judge Robert E. Payne ruled in favor of Virginia Republican delegate Beau Correll, who sued the Commonwealth to allow Virginia delegates at the GOP convention to cast their votes for the candidate of their choice on the first ballot instead of the winner of the Republican state primary, Donald Trump.

21 Officers Injured as St. Paul Freeway Protest Turns Violent

Hundreds of demonstrators began protesting at the Governor’s Residence in St. Paul Saturday night over the police-involved shooting death of Philando Castile earlier in the week before heading onto the I-94 freeway around 8 p.m., local Fox affiliate KMSP reported.

In the video, you see the driver stop his vehicle just before the protesters. The driver gets out of his vehicle and shouts at protesters, gets back into his vehicle, revs his engine and then speeds through the group.

This Is Troubling

Everyday life today is a testament to the fact we were lucky to be growing up when we did. If you wanted to hang out with your friends, you rode your bike to their house to play, usually chaperoned by your buddys’ mom, since with the tax rate being about 3% dad was the only one working. If you wanted to call, you had to wait for the party line on the rotary phone to be free. If it was a long distance call, you waited until after 7PM, when the rates were cheaper. Supper was at 6:00 and you knew better than to be late and risk the dreaded words: ‘wait until your dad gets home.’ Lucy and Ricky slept in twin beds and they couldn’t even get the word ‘pregnant’ past the censors on television.

Fast forward to 2017. Mom and dad both work, one to pay the bills, one to pay the taxes. Except for the millions of households with one parent, most on welfare and having multiple children. They all have i-phones, or whatever they’re called. They have Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, and Instagram. My grandchildren have two parents, my daughter has R.J. and Big Sis, and her husband has joint custody of his girls, Karissa and Peyton. His two are on Facebook, RJ and sis are not.

I’m probably overreacting, but I saw some things that really, really disturbed me. I haven’t met Peyton and Karissa’s mom, but I suspect she’s behind it. My daughter and her hubby do the best they can, but they work different shifts and all four kids are unsupervised for much of the time. DW got a friend request from Peyton, and what she posted was troubling.

Big Sis had posted some questionable photos on her Instagram, and when her dad saw them, he was infuriated. He tried to warn her about the dangers inherently present these days, but she has a rebellious streak and kids today have to learn the hard way. My biggest problem is that kids today are compelled to grow up so fast, that sometimes mistakes last a lifetime. In our day, if a girl got “in trouble” or “with child” it was a disgrace and her parents had to take her out of school. Now they have daycare for 15 and 16 year olds who already have a child or two. These stud-wannabes want to make as many babies as they can. It’s a sick competition. My grandkids are so beautiful and have so much potential, I couldn’t bear them giving in to peer pressure to do something that will affect them forever.

Saturday Morning Memories

Those of us here are older, came from moderate backgrounds, better educated, had moms and dads who were husbands and wives first. We were lucky. Saturday morning network television wasn’t a non-stop menu of wildlife shows, science and sundry other enviro-wacko horseshoe. It was CARTOONS! from 6:00 AM until about 11. You sat there in your pajamas, eating your Kellogg’s Sugar Pops or Cap’n Crunch cereal staring at the little black and white screen at Mighty Mouse, Heckle and Jeckle, Woody Woodpecker, Huckleberry Hound, Tom and Jerry, and my personal favorite, Linus the Lionhearted (with Itchy Brother and Biggie Rat.) There were no commercials for cars or laundry soap. All available minutes were designed to sell toys.

Mrs. Rush’s payments increased again in 2010 to $119,400. She was paid $148,000 in 2012. She took in $66,000 in 2014.

He Got What He Wanted

Since the day Barack Hussein Obama slithered into office on the premise he would heal the racial divide, his true agenda has been exposed. He hates whites, especially police, and has accused them at every turn of the wanton shooting of negroes. Emboldened by the tacit approval of their erstwhile “messiah,” the murderous rabble have committed more and more acts of overt violence toward people of pallor. They hold LEOs in special contempt because they are the only constraints on the assaults, robberies, rapes, and murders they would otherwise go unpunished for.

My good friend Willie came to work this morning bellowing about all the gun violence is the fault of the NRA. He is an intelligent man but completely enthralled with the liberal ideology. To this day he blames all of Obama’s failings (the few he will admit to) on the mess George W. Bush supposedly left behind. There is no trying to have a rational conversation with someone who uses emotion rather than reasoned thought when forming opinions.

Now to the nub of it:

It was an execution, committed by four bastards who used the occasion of a rally for the poor dead blacks to set up an ambush. There were four shooters, all positioned strategically to get police in a crossfire when they responded to calls of ‘shots fired.’

This serves several purposes for Barry & co.
First, democrats can piss and moan about gun confiscation.
Second, Barry can play the role of ersatz peacemaker, calling for peace when he has no interest in it.
Third, and most importantly, the press can spend weeks on this chaos and relegate Crooked Hillary to page 27B.

‘Hello Racist’ Website Launched To Expose Alleged Racists on the Internet


The site, called Hello Racist!, is designed so in order to “expose racism, fight ignorance and be the place where people of all races, religion, and political beliefs can share their stories.”

Users who see a racist post on social media can upload a screenshot or link to the website, where people can consequently rate the level of racism and exposed and leave a comment to express their thoughts.

Examples of some of the racism exposed include people who have referred to Obama as an “ass wipe monkey,” and references to white people supposedly being the real victims of slavery.

Disturbing new video shows Baton Rouge police shooting
The shooting death of Alton Sterling is being investigated by federal authorities.

Sterling, 37, was confronted by police and shot on Tuesday after an anonymous caller said he had threatened someone with a gun outside the store, where he was selling homemade CDs, authorities said.

In the video, filmed by store owner Abdullah Muflahi, officers are seen pinning Sterling to the ground. Officers can be heard saying “You [expletive] move, I swear to God,” and shouting, “Gun!” before shots ring out.
The owner said Sterling didn’t have a gun in his hand at the time but he saw officers remove a gun from Sterling’s pocket after the shooting.
The shooting stirred anger in Baton Rouge, with hundreds protesting Tuesday night and demonstrations continuing Wednesday. Community leaders and Sterling’s family demanded the federal investigation.

None of that makes it OK if the cops shot him while he was subdued. And that’s the argument here; if he was subdued at the time he was shot, it’s a bad shooting.

The story behind the filming of the fatal Baton Rouge police shooting. It was no coincidence.
In most cases, these videos are captured by random bystanders who pull out their camera-equipped cellphones.

In other words, these explosive videos are often the result of pure happenstance.

But that was not the case with the first video that surfaced from Baton Rouge Tuesday afternoon, which showed a white police officer fatally shooting Alton Sterling. That video, which caused nationwide outrage after it went viral on social media, was actually filmed by a member of an organized group that specifically seeks out violent crimes using police scanners with the intention of filming them, not for the purpose of exposing police but to deter young people from crime.

The group’s founder, 43-year-old Arthur “Silky Slim” Reed, made the decision to upload the video of Sterling’s shooting on social media Tuesday afternoon.

New Video Shows Portion of Deadly Fresno Police Shooting of Dylan Noble

Noble pulled into a gas station parking lot and police said he refused to show his hands, and made a “conscious effort to conceal one hand behind his back, then in his waistband, as he exited the truck, and walked away from officers,” according to a press release from Fresno police.

Officials said Noble then said he “hated his life,” turned around and walked toward officers. That’s when police said Noble was shot.

THOSE WHO COMMITTED THESE ACTS WILL BE TRIED AND, IF FOUND GUILTY OF ANY WRONGDOING, WILL MOST SURELY BE PUNISHED.
I, in good conscience, cannot feel much sympathy for poor blacks who get shot by white cops when I sit here day after day and have to see myriad acts of violence perpetrated by these people without shame or compassion. Violence begets violence and, as Scripture says: “whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

Since the immaculation of this man:

He has shown nothing but contempt for law enforcement and has fomented racial strife in its most vile and deadly fashion.
