ABOUT FACE: For a year, the Left slandered anyone who dared to suggest that COVID-19 might have originated inside the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Fauci said it couldn’t have happened, because of evolution or something. The WHO assured the world that it was ‘extremely unlikely’ that COVID-19 entered the human population through a laboratory accident. As recently as Monday, Jen Psaki was telling us that a U.S. led investigation on COVID-19 origin was not necessary.

Then suddenly, like a well-trained marching band, the entire Left suddenly and simultaneously changed its tune. Fauci said, “I’m not confident that the virus did not escape a lab.” And on Wednesday, FAUXTUS ordered the intelligence community to conduct that “not necessary” investigation into the origin of COVID-19. BACK THE BLUE: Texas Republican Gov. Greg Abbott is committed to signing a bill that will make it more difficult for cities to defund police and plans to defund cities that do so anyway.

BIG PHARMA: In the 1950s, a new drug called “Thalidomide” was introduced. It came with the guarantee that it could be “given with complete safety to pregnant women and nursing mothers without any adverse effect on mother and child.” This was a lie.

While raking in profits, the pharmaceutical company responsible covered up reports that their drug, which was marketed as a safe sedative and remedy for morning sickness, caused thousands of miscarriages and fetal deformities.

World-wide, an estimated 90,000 victims died before birth and another 10,000 were born with severe physical deformities because their mothers had taken thalidomide drugs. I went to school with one of the victims.

We should all keep this in mind whenever the increasingly wealthy makers of COVID-19 vaccines assure us that their products are both safe and effective.

Another thing to keep in mind is that, while the government is busy, busy, busy pimping the vaccines, only about half of the employees of the FDA, CDC, and NIH have accepted the shots.

BLOOMBERG: Mike’s leftie rag published an astonishing Op-Ed that starts out with “the pandemic winner is … Florida and its governor, Ron DeSantis. Can anyone doubt it? As the country tries to recover from the pandemic, psychologically as well as economically, Florida is way ahead of just about every other state in the U.S. …

DeSantis was vilified in the media, especially when Covid cases spiked last year. Many public health officials predicted that his policies would be disastrous. His critics took to calling him #DeathSantis. But they were wrong.

COVID-19: A new study suggests that even a mild case of coronavirus could leave people with lifelong protection against the virus.

It’s normal for antibody levels to go down after acute infection, but they don’t go down to zero; they plateau. Here, we found antibody-producing cells in people 11 months after first symptoms. These cells will live and produce antibodies for the rest of people’s lives. That’s strong evidence for long-lasting immunity.

DARWIN’S ARCH: Darwin’s Arch was a natural rock arch feature to the south-east of Darwin Island in the Galápagos Archipelago in the Pacific Ocean. On May 17, 2021, the arch collapsed through natural erosion.

ELECTRIC CARS: “Until they invent an electric car that can charge in the same five minutes it takes to fill a tank of gas, they’re a bad deal for anyone planning to travel long distances. I calculated the extra time it would take to drive a Tesla from the San Francisco Bay Area to Eastern Tennessee using Tesla’s supercharging stations. It added an extra 40 hours to the trip — or about four days. That means three extra nights in hotels, significantly driving up the trip’s cost, as well as wasting time.” – Andrea Widburg

ENLIGHTEN ME: Tweeters responded – “In case I have to shoot someone.”

Because I don’t want to be at the mercy of a stupid, raging mob.

Enlighten me, why should a government be the only ones with guns? Also, GFY.

Enlighten me, when has ANY possession someone has have to be quantified by ‘need’?

Enlighten me, why do civilians need computers and smartphones for free speech activities? See how enumerated, constitutional rights work now?

FAKEBOOK: In February, Facebook announced it was censoring anyone claiming that COVID-19 was man-made or manufactured. On Wednesday, Facebook said they were removing this topic from their pooh-pooh list.

Tweeters responded: “Bow down to your big tech overlords and shower them with praise and gratitude for the crumbs of free speech they so graciously allow.”

Crazy thought. Since Facebook was wrong on so many things like Covid and Hunter’s laptop, maybe they should stop trying to create the truth.”

GOLF HISTORY: On May 10, Amy Bockerstette, 22, made history when she and her team entered the 3-day National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) women’s golf national championship.

Amy is the first person with Down syndrome to enter a national collegiate athletic championship. She finished 108th out of 113 golfers. Prior to this, Amy was the first Arizona student with Down syndrome to play in the state high school golf playoffs. Then she became the first person with Down syndrome to receive a college athletics scholarship to Paradise Valley Community College in Phoenix.

OHIO: The City Council of Lebanon has approved an ordinance that makes Lebanon the 29th U.S. city and the first city in Ohio to become a Sanctuary City for the Unborn. There are currently no abortion providers in Warren County, where Lebanon is located, but the ordinance would ensure that no abortion businesses ever set up shop in the city.

OMG: The phrase “Oh, my God!” could be a prayer, but it is often misused, writes Msgr. Charles Pope. “More commonly it uses the Divine name as a mere expression of surprise or exasperation. This is not a reverent or prayerful use of God’s name in most circumstances. The word ‘vain’ means empty. And, therefore, the context you cite would usually seem to qualify as using God’s name in vain.”

ONTARIO: I liked Canada better when it was known primarily for its very nice people who said “I’m sawrry” and “aboot.” CLICK https://twitter.com/NicoleArbour/status/1396554232120152069 [1:32].

I gotta wonder how embarrassed these cops are. When I was 17, I did a night time crossing over the U.S.S.R.-Finland border by train. We all got rousted out of bed to be asked about contraband and have our belongings and beds searched by very embarrassed looking, gun-toting soldiers who looked barely old enough to shave.

SHADE BALLS: This is really interesting. [12:06] – LA Reservoir is covered with them. Ninety-six million of them! Their main purpose is to block sunlight from entering the water and triggering a chemical reaction that turns harmless bromide into carcinogenic bromate. In other locations, they have other purposes.

TEEN VOGUE: The latest entry from Bizarro Land – “The modern American university is a right-wing institution. The right’s dominance of academia and its reign over universities is destroying higher education, and the only way to save the American university is for students and professors to take back control of campuses.”

Whaaaaaaaat? Multiple polls have found that Democrats outnumber Republicans by more than 10:1 on university faculties. In one study, nearly 40% of the colleges had zero faculty members who were registered Republican.

TRANS: CLICK https://www.facebook.com/TuckerCarlsonTonight/videos/169642245095048 [14:29] – Tucker reports on how crazy it is that kids are making such huge medical decisions.

VAX: Blood clots killed two young, healthy individuals not long after they received COVID vaccination. An Olympic athlete died on May 14 after receiving Pfizer’s vaccine. A British fashion model died on May 21 after receiving AstraZeneca’s vaccine. The vaccines are known to cause blood clots.

WOKE CELEBRITIES: The Jim Henson Company is “seeking top talent and new creative voices from diverse communities and backgrounds to train as puppeteers in the Jim Henson technique.”

Straight males are not welcome.

Doesn’t it strike you as kind of weird that the Left is making the actual identity of ACTORS an issue? I mean … they make a living pretending to be people they’re not! Who cares who or what they are IRL?

GRAMMY NOTES: The Mascots went to the zoo.

  1. The phrase “Oh, my God!” could be a prayer, but it is often misused…

When I was a young teen, we were throwing rocks into the lake. My step-brother took a ‘way-too-big rock, hurled it, and it landed smack on my head. I let loose with a bunch of curses I didn’t even know I knew!!

Since then, over the decades, many a “G’dammit,” “Oh God!” and “Jesus!” have escaped my lips, involuntarily. Unlearning the habit has proved hard, and I’m still prone to violating that commandment, when I smash my toe, or lose a gigabyte of data. 😀

I’m not thinking of our Father or Jesus, really, when I say it. I do catch myself, belatedly, and apologize.

Me also. Thankfully, the big rock someone carelessly threw at me landed one inch short or I’d have been on crutches for the rest of the summer.
