Bits & Bytes

2A: On Wednesday, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott quietly signed a permitless constitutional carry act into law. As of Sept. 1, Texan gun owners who are over age 21 who legally own a firearm may carry it either openly or concealed, without needing a permit or training.

BACK THE BLUE: CLICK [4:29] to see body cam footage of a hero cop saving a 13-year-old girl from an adult perv she met on-line.

CHICAGO: CLICK [6:56] to hear Tucker Carlson report on the city’s maniac mayor and the human death toll.

FAUXTUS: CLICK [:32] to see inside his brain.

G7: On Thursday, the photo above and another similar one hit Twitter via Ryan Saavedra. The public face of FFAUXTUS and French President Emmanuel Macron was cordial. It looks like things were quite different behind closed doors.

From George Rowe – “It’s beyond any reasonable dispute that the slack-jawed old senile man staggering through this punchline presidency is getting more senile by the day. … During his Euro trip, he was a total embarrassment.”

GEORGIA: Fulton County, the largest in the state, is predominantly Democrat. Documents submitted by Fulton’s election officials to state officials show significant irregularities in the Atlanta area during last November’s voting.

These problems, which range from identical vote tallies repeated multiple times to large batches of absentee ballots that appear to be missing from the official ballot-scanning records, potentially impact thousands of ballots in a state Biden supposedly won by fewer than 12,000 votes.

LEFTIES EAT THEIR OWN: CLICK [7:20] – NPR recently published an article blasting Tom Hanks for being in too many movies that portray white people doing good things. While Tom Hanks is pretty woke himself, it’s never enough for the leftist mob.

MASTERPIECE CAKESHOP: Colorado’s persecution of Jack Phillips continues as a Colorado district court rules he must create custom cakes celebrating gender transitions. Phillips is a devout Christian. Radical activists have repeatedly sought him out, demanding he make cakes celebrating the LGBT movement, which he opposes on religious grounds.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY: In March 2018, despite a critical shortage of foster homes, Philadelphia suddenly canceled its contracts with Catholic Social Services (CSS) for refusing to place children with same-sex couples. This despite no LGBTQ couple ever having approached CSS.

On Thursday, the Supreme Court ruled unanimously that the state can’t shut down a Catholic adoption agency that refused to compromise its Christian values.

SAN FRANCISCO: CLICK [:25] to watch a brazen thief load up a trash bag with goods and ride away. Store staff just have to watch it happen.

Apparently, the Dimocrats’ extra harsh lockdown didn’t do enough damage to small businesses in San Franfeces, because the city recently decriminalized theft under $950. Predictably, shoplifting has skyrocketed, with stores having zero recourse … except to close forever.

‘Frisco used to be a beautiful city and a popular tourist destination. I went once and loved it. Now, thanks to the idjits running the place, the only people living there are the ultra rich, the poor, mentally ill, and drug addicted homeless, and an ever-shrinking middle class.

I’m thinking the closing of local stores will mainly hurt the homeless who can’t drive to stores or shop on-line. However, there’s a bright side to this. If the homeless flee, the über rich can finally have the city all to themselves … which may be what they’re after.

TEXAS: Gov. Abbott has signed a “trigger” bill into law that will begin banning abortions completely or as much as the U.S. Supreme Court allows after overturns Roe v. Wade. The ban would go into effect 30 days after the Supreme Court rules. Exceptions would be allowed for risks to the mother’s life or a “substantial impairment of major bodily function.” Abortionists who violate the measure could face fines or prison time.

TRANS: An emeritus professor of psychology and neuroscience at Duke University has been removed from an American Psychological Association (APA) email group for posting: “Hmm… Binary view of sex false? What is the evidence? Is there a Z chromosome?

  1. Okay, I’m only on my 2nd cup of coffee for the day, but I don’t get the gnarly-looking fish’s concern for the homeless. Is it just for the “bum” pun and nothing to do with the googly-eyed critter?

Another good B&B, cth. Enjoyed the James 1:19 video. The cursing vet was hilarious. And cat obedience — ha!

The cop video ends before the perv gets beaten with nightsticks. We were cheated! (Oh, sorry; I’ll have a less vengeful attitude after another cuppa. Probably.)

I chose the gnarly fish graphic to go with my idea that wealthy Friscans want to rid themselves of their homeless population without appearing to do so.
