At Fatima, Our Blessed Mother promised that those who practiced the First Saturday Devotion for five consecutive months would be assisted by her in the hour of their death with all the graces necessary for salvation.
On the first Saturday of the month, for five consecutive months, participants do the following:
- Receive Holy Communion with the intention of making reparation for the insults, sacrileges, and indifferences committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
- Go to Confession on the First Saturday of the month (it can also be eight days before or after) with the intention of making reparation for the insults, sacrileges, and indifferences committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
- Recite five decades of the Rosary in reparation for the insults, sacrileges, and indifferences committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
- Keep Mary company for fifteen minutes—meditating on the Mysteries of the Rosary with her—with the intention of making reparation for the insults, sacrileges, and indifferences committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
