DYSTOPIA: What happens when your house is too “smart” [9:16] – Amazon suspended a customer’s constitutional rights after a delivery driver – who was wearing headphones – claimed he heard a racist remark as he was walking away from the house. The homeowner wasn’t even there. The last I checked, the First Amendment protects speech and the Fifth Amendment says we cannot be deprived of liberty or property without due process of law.

Amazon didn’t care. Based on one driver’s report, Amazon locked the homeowner out of all his Amazon accounts, logged him out of all his Echo devices, and locked him out of his home for six days. It turned out that the doorbell had simply issued the automated response, “Excuse me, can I help you?”

Incredibly, the guy says he is only “seriously considering” disconnecting his home from Amazon. What he should be seriously considering is suing Amazon for violating his constitutional rights!

FIRST AMENDMENT: Recently, a Tennessee public middle school teacher forcibly removed a student’s cross necklace. The family contacted the ACLJ, which sent a letter to school officials informing them of the incident and requesting their prompt attention to the egregious violation of the student’s constitutional rights. The only time when school officials may regulate speech is when it “materially disrupts classwork or involves substantial disorder or invasion of the rights of others.” Because of the ACLJ’s involvement, the teacher and school officials were forced to apologize to the student.

RACISM: A federal jury has unanimously ruled in favor of Shannon Phillips and awarded her $25 million in punitive damages and $600,000 in compensatory damages. The court said Phillips had convincingly proved that her boss fired her because of her skin color. Phillips is white. The boss is black.

TOLERANCE: Middle schoolers in Massachusetts have been accused of “intolerance and homophobia” after they chose not to wear rainbow colors on the school-approved spirit day celebrating Pride Month. Even worse, some of them wore only red, white, and blue, chanted, “U.S.A. are my pronouns,” and took down LGBT-themed banners and stickers they said were offensive to them. The principal said the school would likely implement a program to teach students about tolerance and acceptance. 

How about teaching students about their constitutional rights, which are protected at all times and places on school grounds? The United States Supreme Court has upheld the right of students to express their opinions or religious beliefs, even if they are controversial. In 1969, the United States Supreme Court ruled that students do not “shed their constitutional rights to freedom of speech or expression at the schoolhouse gate.” Even earlier, in 1943, SCOTUS emphasized the importance of protecting students’ rights to freedom of speech and expression so as “not to strangle the free mind at its source and teach youth [not] to discount important principles.”

The only time when school officials may regulate speech is when it “materially disrupts classwork or involves substantial disorder or invasion of the rights of others.” Destroying property and chanting loudly probably qualify; declining to wear pride themes clothing definitely does not.

BANNING BOOKS: Illinois Democratic Governor J.B. Pritzker signed a bill on Monday barring libraries from receiving state grants if they remove books from their collections or refuse to sign the American Library Association’s Library Bill of Rights, which indicates “materials should not be proscribed or removed because of partisan or doctrinal disapproval.”

Meanwhile in Florida, a law went into effect earlier this year requiring books in school libraries to be approved by a librarian or media specialist. Those who provide pornographic books to students could be charged with a third degree felony.

IMO, this whole issue is hugely overblown. Public and school libraries have limited budgets and limited shelf space. There are hundreds of thousands, maybe millions of books in print. Choosing which ones best serve the needs of the specific community a library serves is not the same as censoring or banning anything. What gets put into a law school or medical school library is far different from what gets put into an elementary, middle, or high school library.

And it’s not just conservatives who are demanding books be removed. Leftists have pulled classics like To Kill a Mockingbird and Huck Finn over alleged racism, while insisting that anyone who objects to books containing graphically sexual content is a book burner.

Once upon a time, I set up a library at our church. I bought the bookshelf ($500), collected all the books that were lurking (mostly in the rectory where nobody could get at them), donated a lot of my own books and videos, and solicited donations of cash or materials. One lady approached me and said I should buy a particular book. I’d read it and thought it was poorly written and contained bad theology at which she got all Karen about me presuming to censor it. I told her that the parish provided me with exactly zero dollars to buy materials, but that if she wanted to buy the book and donate it to the church library, I’d stick it on the shelf. She huffed and walked away. The book never appeared. ::smh::

FBI: [5:42] – During Tuesday’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate admitted the agency redacted any mention of audio recordings of Joe Biden and Hunter Biden in a document shown last week to Republican lawmakers. He said they did it to protect the source. He also denied that the FBI has become politicized. “There are not two standards of justice.” Blackburn said phooie. So do a lot of the rest of us.

HATE CRIME: A Florida woman has been arrested and charged with felony criminal mischief for vandalizing St. Timothy Catholic Church in Miami on Saturday, June 10. Police say she was motivated by religious prejudice. Security cameras recorded her spray-painting the words “perverts,” “pigs,” “liars,” and an upside-down cross on the premises, kicking over trash bins and planters, and desecrating an altar. The estimated cost of damages is $3,000. A member of the parish said she was not surprised at the attack “because Christians are under attack and you see it all over the world.”

KELLOGG’S: Tony the Tiger getting smoochy with Dylan Mulvaney is far from the first sign that Kellogg’s is on the Left’s perversion wagon. In 2021, the company partnered with the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) to produce an LGBT-themed cereal dubbed “Together With Pride” that featured berry-flavored, rainbow hearts dusted with edible glitter. Kellogg has also created animated stickers on Instagram and Facebook that the company said would allow fans to “add a little ‘Pride’ to their posts all year long.”

But the boycotts are working. Starbucks is reportedly no longer allowing Pride decorations in-store and the MLB has quietly ordered teams to ditch their Pride uniforms.

ATTEMPTED MURDER: A Florida woman has been arrested and charged with Attempted Murder on Unborn Child by Injury to the Mother and with Fabricating Physical Evidence. She has admitted to having obtained an abortion pill with the intention of slipping it to her former fiancé’s pregnant girlfriend and to creating a fake social media account to hide her activities.

CATHOLIC: Thank God and Bishop Zubik for responding to calls from the faithful to stop this thing before it happened. It was bad enough they scheduled a “Pride Mass” at all, but to choose the Feast of Corpus Christi and advertise that face just adds blasphemy onto blasphemy.

Also known as the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, the feast celebrates the Real Presence of the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus in the bread and wine of the consecrated Eucharist. Pride is the queen of all vices; anyone who celebrates it shouldn’t even be receiving Eucharist.

COVENANT SCHOOL: The autopsy and toxicology report for the shooter showed nothing of toxicological significance in her blood or urine. Despite the 28-year-old having claimed to identify as a trans male, she had made no physical changes to her body and was not taking any type of medication for a psychiatric condition or any kind of hormone therapy to aid in her alleged transition to male. She had also not ingested amphetamines, barbiturates, cannabinoids, cocaine, fentanyl, methadone, methamphetamine, opiates, oxycodone, or phencyclidine (angel dust).

FAUXTUS: This weekend, CINO Joe had a Pride Month celebration at the White Hut, during which Joe said trannies were among the bravest and most inspiring people he has ever known. While on the South Lawn, an mtf trannie with fake boobies, a female trans activist with real boobies, and an ftm trannie who has had her boobies sawed off video’d themselves sans chemises and shared their nekkid glory with the internet.

PORTLAND STATE UNIVERSITY: Chris Elston (aka “Billboard Chris”) visited PSU campus with some friends to peacefully protest so-called “gender affirming” treatments for minors.

Beforehand, PSU’s Queer Resource Center had already put out a statement warning students that “some provocateurs with anti-gender affirming care viewpoints” were coming to the campus, but assured all that there would be coloring books and crayons, cotton candy, and temporary tattoos to help them cope with the trauma.

TRANS VIOLENCE: Over the weekend, stores in Oklahoma, New York, New Hampshire, Vermont, Louisiana, Ohio, Utah, and Pennsylvania received bomb threats for “betraying the LGBTQ+ community” by downplaying the company’s Pride Month products. The FBI is investigating.

Stores in Ohio, Utah, and Pennsylvania received a threat that stated: “Target is full of cowards who turned their back on the LGBT community and decided to cater to the homophobic right wing redneck bigots who protested and vandalized their store.”

Eight stores in Oklahoma received a threat that said, “We are going to play a game [date of Oklahoma City bombing, which killed 168 people]. 2 of these Target locations have bombs in them. We hid the bombs inside some product items. The bombs will detonate in several hours, guess which ones have the bombs. Time is ticking.”

UK: [17:52] – The British Counter Disinformation Unit (CDU) was and is a secret branch of the British civil service that operates under the auspices of the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology. Since February 2020, its job was to flag critics of lockdown and pandemic policy and report them to social media companies with which it was in “daily, sometimes hourly” contact “with almost all the platforms.” It’s director previously worked with anti-terror policies for the Home Office.

“A lot of the arguments at the time were not really between science and non-science. They were between authority and non-authority. Whitehall is all about control of information. Information is power. They know that so they tend to hoard it for themselves,” said David Davis, British MP who also called the CDU the most paranoid wing of Government is interfering in the democratic process”

WMD: Some scientists have created a designer virus for cats that makes them feel mildly ill for a short time, then causes them to lose interest in mating. This achievement follows on work with infecting mice with a designer virus that sterilized them. This might seem like a grand way to deal with feral populations of unwanted critters, but we shouldn’t cheer too loudly, because the same technology could easily be designed for humans and we’d never know it until the damage was done.

COVENANT SCHOOL SHOOTING: After the shooting, the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) searched and seized documents from the shooter’s parents’ home and the vehicle the daughter had used, which is in their name. The police have refused to release the contents of the papers, which are said to include the shooter’s plans and manifesto. Her parents announced that, because she did not leave a will and they own the home and car, the papers are theirs. They are working with their attorney to assign all rights to the papers to the families of the six people their daughter murdered.

FIGHTING BACK: After parents threatened legal action, a California high school removed a photograph of a crucifix submerged in urine from its curriculum. Dos Pueblos High School in the Santa Barbara Unified School District (SBUSD) had used Andres Serrano’s 1987 photograph “Immersion (Piss Christ)” in a class. Students and parents were outraged.

The image was used in a Theory of Knowledge class to discuss the question, “What is art?” The offensive picture was paid for by the taxpayer-funded National Endowment for the Arts, which provoked widespread fury upon its release in 1987. 

On May 9, lawyers for the Thomas More Society sent a letter to the district calling for the removal of the image from the curriculum. The attorneys argued that the use of the image illegally imposed a hostile atmosphere towards Christian students. One of the students who opposed the image said, “Until we had the weight of a legal letter, our concerns … were brushed off by administrators who proudly defended their blasphemous curriculum as some sort of ‘human right.’”

MASKS: The White House still requires guests who are not fully vaccinated to wear a mask and maintain at least 6 feet distance from others while on the White House grounds. Never mind the science, guys.

The United States President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) was launched in 2003 under President George W. Bush. Under Biden, more than $111 million of this money has gone to three groups that, instead of using the money to save black lives, used it to promote the abortion of black lives.

SOROS: George Soros has turned over to his son, Alex, control of his $25 billion dollar “charitable” organization, and all of its massive far-left political spending. Alex has already met with members of the Biden Administration, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and Canada’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

WASHINGTON: [:30] – The Olympus Spa is for women only. Many services provided by Olympus require patrons to be fully naked; the employees who work on-site are all female. The Christian owners believe that men and women should not be nude in each other’s presence unless they are married to each other. The state disagrees and has ordered them to allow fully intact mtf trannies to use the spa and also to stop using the term “biological women.” Lawyers for the plaintiff said they plan to file an amended complaint.

The situation started when a male complained to the Washington Human Rights Commission saying, “[The spa] denied me services and stated that transgender women without surgery are not welcome because it could make other customers and staff uncomfortable.” And he, of course, didn’t give a rat’s backside because maybe making others uncomfortable is exactly why he wants to go there.

Scanlan tells her personal story of being silenced by the NCAA and her Ivy League university when she dared to question the decision to put a transgender athlete on her team. Now, she joins Riley Gaines in the fight to protect women’s sports.

YOUTUBE: Dr. Jordan Peterson posted a video to YouTube in which he and author Helen Joyce discuss gender ideology. YouTube took it down, informing Peterson that he had violated the platform’s “hate speech policy.”

Under the “How your content violated the policy”, the notice from YouTube said their policy does not allow “any content that encourages hatred of another person or group of people based on their membership in a protected group.”

On June 10, Peterson posted the two hour video on his Twitter account. When I checked, it had been uploaded for about 18 hours. It had racked up 1.9 million views … probably far more than it would have gotten if YouTube had not banned it. LOL

CATHOLIC: [6:17] – Today is the Feast of Corpus Christi, aka the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. This feast honors Jesus Christ, Really, Truly and Substantially Present under the appearances of bread and wine.

This Presence happens through the change which the Church calls transubstantiation (“change of substance”), when at the Consecration of the Mass, the priest says the words which Christ Himself pronounced over bread and wine, “This is My Body,” “This is the chalice of My Blood,” “Do this in remembrance of Me.”

The appearance, taste, and smell of the bread and wine are called the “accidents” which, in most cases, do not change. However, because God does not demand blind faith, He has granted us more than 100 Eucharistic Miracles in which the “accidents” did change. Some of these have been extensively studied by scientists.

GET WOKE, GO BROKE: Since the Dylan Mulvaney boycott began, Bud Light sales have dropped 22.8% year-over-year, putting it in second place as America’s top-selling beer.

J6: They knew well in advance that there would be a protest on the mall on January 6, 2020. So why did so many officers in the Civil Disturbance Unit have their helmets and gas masks confiscated by their own leaders shortly before the date? Were they hoping one of their officers would be seriously hurt or killed?

LGBTQWXYZ: It went the same way as “You can’t help who you love.” – Last year, Welsh police removed a group of lesbians from an LGBTQ pride event, because the mtf trannies at the event were upset that the lesbians were saying, out loud and in public, that they don’t find faux females sexually attractive.

MATT WALSH: “A few years ago, I officially became a middle-aged dad by tearing my Achilles tendon during a casual game of pick-up basketball in the driveway. A short time later, I was at the hospital where, after a long and rather physically agonizing wait in the waiting room, the doctor gave me Tylenol and told me that I had to get an MRI and see a specialist a week later. I was finally officially diagnosed with a torn Achilles, at which point I was informed of all the options and the risks that accompany each option.

“Of course, the only reasonable option was to get surgery to repair the Achilles. But still, I had to be informed that, for example, doing nothing and letting it heal on its own was a path that could be chosen, though it was certainly not recommended. So I decided to go with the surgery. It was all a pretty standard experience, nothing harrowing or really interesting about that.

“And that’s really the point, because here’s what didn’t happen: I didn’t make a 22-minute video call and get approved for the surgery based on my claims alone. They didn’t give me an Achilles surgery merely because I said I wanted one. They didn’t just take my word for it. And if the doctor had looked at my MRI and determined that my Achilles tendon was not torn, he wouldn’t have given me the surgery anyway just to affirm my feelings that it was torn.

“That’s not how medicine works. Unless, of course, you work in the gender transition industry.”

VAXXX: A new study looked at the health of the 247,011 children (6 months to 5 years) who received a Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 jab from June 18, 2022, to March 18, 2023.

Adverse events included at least one case each of appendicitis; Bell’s Palsy; encephalitis, myelitis, or encephalomyelitis; Guillain-Barre syndrome; immune thrombocytopenia; Kawasaki disease; pulmonary embolism; stroke, hemorrhage; transverse myelitis; venous thromboembolism. By far, the most common adverse event was seizures, with more than 100 young children affected.

The researchers concluded that most of the incidents were due to other causes and that the adverse events did not meet the signaling threshold needed to declare a vaccine side effect. But the researchers also did not compare the vaccinated with the unvaccinated, despite indicating they would do so in the protocol.

Dr. Peter McCullough, a cardiologist who also reviewed the study, said he’s been alarmed at cases of post-vaccination problems among children reported in peer-reviewed studies. “Because nearly all children have already had mild COVID-19 illness and are recovered, the COVID-19 vaccines were never medically necessary. [These studies show that the vaccines are] unsafe for use in children.”

This particular study was funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and was reviewed by CDC personnel. One of the researchers had previously received grants from Pfizer for coronavirus disease 2019 vaccine clinical trials.

2024: Biden’s DOJ has ordered Trump to appear at the Federal Courthouse in Miami on Tuesday at 3 PM to face seven charges ranging from willful retention of national defense information, conspiracy, a scheme to conceal, and false statements and representations. Trump’s response:

“The corrupt Biden Administration has informed my attorneys that I have been Indicted, seemingly over the Boxes Hoax, even though Joe Biden has 1850 Boxes at the University of Delaware, additional Boxes in Chinatown, D.C., with even more Boxes at the University of Pennsylvania, and documents strewn all over his garage floor where he parks his Corvette, and which is ‘secured’ by only a garage door that is paper thin, and open much of the time.”

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) wrote, “Joe Biden has used his Justice Department to go after parents as ‘domestic terrorists,’ to spy on Catholic parishes, to terrorize & harass prolife Christians—and tonight to indict his top political opponent, Trump. He has trampled the rule of law to benefit himself. He has led the country into profound danger. If the people in power can jail their political opponents at will, we don’t have a republic.”

GALLUP: The portion of Americans who identify as very conservative or conservative on social issues (36%) is the highest since 2010. CATHOLIC EDUCATION: The state of Oklahoma has approved the country’s first-ever religious charter school which will allow public funds to pay the tuition of children attending an online Catholic school run by the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City and the Diocese of Tulsa. EUGENE PRATT: Eugene Pratt, 57, a former principal, elementary school teacher and coach who taught at-risk youth in multiple Michigan public schools, was charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct in August. He is accused of sexually assaulting at least 15 boys and young adult men during his education career spanning several decades.

WILLIAM SMITH: William Landon Smith, 31, a former science teacher in Fayetteville, North Carolina, was charged with 27 counts of first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, 28 counts of indecent liberties with a student, and one count of secretly using or installing a photographic imaging device to arouse or gratify sexual desire.

JOHN M. DOTY: John Doty (35), a teacher in La Porte, Indiana, was arrested and charged with 1 count of Attempted Rape, 2 counts of Rape, and 6 counts of Child Seduction.

RICHARD ALEXANDER TURNER: Richard Turner (64) worked as an athletic trainer at two San Fernando Valley high schools. He was charged with six counts of sexual penetration by use of force, six counts of sexual battery, four counts of sexual penetration of an unconscious person and one count each of forcible rape and forcible oral copulation. The crimes happened between 2017 and 2022 to young females between the ages 15 and 17.

Another says, “A few weeks ago, a lady who had been at odds with her family for years also came to receive medical assistance in dying at the funeral complex. At his request, she shared a pizza with her daughter, who she had recently reconnected with, and a salon employee. They then listened to the film Maleficent , with Angelina Jolie, seated in large couches. After smoking a last cigarette in the garden, the patient received treatment and passed away.”
