I'm a 60 something wife, mom and grandmom who is homebound/disabled by severe hypersensitivity to chemicals. I fill my days with learning, loving and art. My favorite values are truth, generosity and gratitude.

Bits & Bytes

FAUXTUS: God has a sense of humor.

GOOGLE MAPS: Google Maps removed directions to a Washington, D.C. pro-life pregnancy center and instead offered users directions to a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic, two different doula locations, and a pro-life pregnancy center across the river in Maryland. When the issue was pointed out to them by The Daily Signal, they oopsied and put Capitol Hill Crisis Pregnancy Center back in.

MASKS: A peer-reviewed study entitled “Association between Face mask use and Risk of SARS-CoV-2 Infection – Cross-sectional study” was published in Epidemiology and Infection on Nov. 13, 2023. It reported on an analysis of mask use among 3,209 individuals from Norway. After adjusting for factors such as age, vaccination status, use of public transportation, etc., the study also found that mask wearers had a 33% to 40% higher incidence of COVID-19 compared to those who never or almost never wore masks. The researchers cautioned against making too much of the results, since there were many factors they did not consider, such as people who wore masks because of their profession.

NEW YUCK CITY: A total of 2,516 NYPD cops have left so far this year, the fourth highest number in the past decade. Meanwhile, crime is up 30% and Mayor Adams has decided to save money by canceling the next five police academy classes. Police Benevolent Association president, Patrick Hendry, said, “Our police officers are being worked to exhaustion, and 911 response times are already rising. What is going to happen when no reinforcements arrive for months on end?

POPE FRANCIS: Two Vatican insiders leaked to the AP that Pope Francis has decided to punish conservative American Cardinal Raymond Burke (75) for being a source of “disunity” within the church. Burke had not received notification of measures being taken against him which reportedly will include revoking his salary and tossing him out of his apartment at the Vatican.

SEATTLE: A middle school teacher in the Seattle Public School System organized a pro-LGBTQ class activity where students wrote hateful letters and mailed them to the parental rights advocacy group called Moms for Liberty.

UNITED METHODISM: The United Methodist Churches in the United States have had 24.3% of its affiliate churches withdraw from the denomination over its embrace of LGBTQ ideology. Until recently, churches that met the requirements were allowed to disaffiliate with their property intact. But it sounds like the PTBs are sick of losing all that money. The latest batch of requests were denied, despite meeting all the many requirements. The congregations can go worship where they like, but the U.M.C. is keeping their property. The Institute on Religion and Democracy says, “In the future, United Methodism will increasingly rely on closing and selling churches for income even as it loses millions of members.”

VIRGINIA: A former Prince William County registrar, Michele White, has been charged with altering 2020 election results in the Virginia Election and Registration Information System [VERIS], so that the system reported false election results. Joe Biden allegedly received 54% of the county vote vs. Trump’s alleged 44%. White’s trial is due to begin on Jan. 16, 2024.

2024: CLICK https://twitter.com/JoeDanMedia/status/1728621142892580980 [1:41] to hear the crowd cheer and clap for the entire 1:41 of this video clip. Newsweek reported, “Former President Donald Trump was met with loud boos as he arrived at Williams-Brice Stadium in South Carolina on Saturday ahead of the Palmetto Bowl.

CHOOSE: At the end of The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis, every soul presents itself to Aslan and either chooses or rejects Him. Every soul, that is, but the group of dwarfs who refuse to choose, because “the dwarfs is for the dwarfs.” Yet in refusing to choose, they have chosen, for there are only two choices. God or Not God. And Satan rules the latter. For more thoughts on this, click the link.

DISNEY: In the latest episode of “Get Woke! Go Broke!”, the fools making Walt roll in his grave just managed to open a new animated flop on a five-day holiday week-end. Ten years ago, “Frozen” set box-office records. Last week, “Wish” came in third place, with an abysmal $31.7 million take. Between production and advertising, Disney spent $400 million on it. I googled “Disney Wish” to look for a graphic and was surprised to find that the movie did not appear in row after row after row after row of graphics. They were all about Disney Wish cruises.

Joel Abbott’s review says, “This movie plays on the ‘when you wish upon a star’ theme that Disney loves. It’s about a girl, Asha (meaning ‘wish, hope, desire’), who is invited to apprentice under a magic king who grants wishes to his people. The king creates order, law, stability, and peace. But then Asha learns that the king only grants the most important wishes, which seems unfair — why would an all-powerful king who claims to love all his people withhold his power and mercy from some of his citizens? She wonders, is this even a good king?

(Do you see where this is going?)

We see snippets of the king’s vanity. The people around him adore him, even worship him. He is their Father God, but Asha has discovered that he is actually a villain.

Instead, Asha will have to flee society — that ordered realm of the god-king, and reconnect with Gaia, Mother Earth, that cosmic force that will grant her the power to become her own goddess with literal star power. With this power, she will return to overthrow the patriarch king and free the people from the shackles of his rules in order to end oppression and grant everyone’s desires.

FOLLOW THE SCIENCE MONEY: Something to keep in mind when researching divisive, hot button issues like abortion and COVID-19. The so-called experts are more than happy to lie if it serves their political agenda.

Until very recently, ACOG’s “Guide to Language and Abortion” contained the following legal and viological nonsense: “A fetal heartbeat exists only after the chambers of the heart have developed and can be detected via ultrasound, which typically occurs around 17 to 20 weeks’ gestation. … What pregnant [women] may hear is the ultrasound machine translating electronic impulses that signify fetal cardiac activity.

This bit of nonsense has been used repeatedly in court cases sponsored by Planned Parenthood to try and strike down so-called “heartbeat” laws. Not only are “heartbeat” and “cardiac activity” legally synonymous, but also it is common knowledge that the 4 chambers of the heart are formed by the end of week 7.

RINO: Mitt Romney says he would rather vote for a Democrat than for Trump or Vivek Ramaswamy. He says that, in 2020, he voted for his wife Ann rather than cast his ballot for Trump. Hmm … I seem to remember him asking Trump for a job in his administration and being turned down. Sour grapes much?

VAXXX: In Australia, 97.53% of all individuals aged 16 and above have gotten at least one ‘rona jab. Since the nation’s draconian vaxxx mandates went into effect, there has been a surge in the number of cardiac arrests. In Victoria, Australia, the rate increased by 2.5% from 2020 to 2021, then from 2021 to 2022, went up by 5.8%. Both years marked record historical highs. Heart damage is a known side effect of the vaxxx.

GRAMMY NOTES: This makes me feel really old. I got a handful of pennies once. If T.F. Mom was feeling especially flush, it was a whole quarter which, given that I only got a dime per pair for polishing shoes before Mass, was a real bonanza!

CATHOLIC: Sins are things that offend God. Sins of commission are wrongs that we choose to do, while sins of omission are the good things we ought to do t hat we choose not to do. In order to be guilty of a sin, we must know at some level that what we are choosing to do or not do is an offense against God. However, ignorance of the law is not an excuse, since our consciences often tell us that something is wrong even if we don’t know exactly why it is wrong.

ISRAEL: In 135 CE, in an attempt to erase the association between Israel and the Jewish people, the Roman Empire changed its name to “Palestine” (land of the Philistines). In the Old Testament, the Philistines were among the tribes that fought with the Jews over the Holy Land; Goliath was a Philistine. To make the Roman moniker even more offensive, the Philistines had ceased to exist half a millennium before 135 CE.

However, the use of the name “Palestine” continued to be used long after the Roman Empire fell, but it only ever referred to a geographical region, never to a nation or a group of people. Interestingly, while the name “Israel” appears in the Qur’an, the Muslim name – “Filastin” – does not.

During the first half of the 20th century, “Palestine” referred to Jews living in the area, as well as their institutions. In 1937, a local Arab leader told the Palestine Royal Commission, “There is no such country [as Palestine]. Palestine is a term the Zionists invented! Our country for centuries was part of Syria.”

The so-called Palestinian national movement came only after the 1967 Six-Day War, when Israel won control of Judea and Samaria from Jordan. Since then, just like with CRT, the Arabs that used to scorn the name have rewritten history to claim they are the true descendants of the Philistines.

POPE FRANCIS: On October 23, 2023, the Vatican sent a letter to the German bishops stating, unequivocally, that “the Church has no authority whatsoever to ordain women to the priesthood, and that all the faithful of the Church must definitively abide by this decision.” Period. End of discussion. Any attempt to ordain a woman will bring on automatic excommunication. In addition, the letter reiterates that it has always been and will always be the “constant teaching of the Church” that sexual acts between persons of the same sex are immoral.

TRANS: My favorite comment about the so-called crime of misgendering, “Dear Trans community, if you cannot accept you for who you really are, don’t expect me to accept you for who you are not.”

COMMUNITY NOTES: Under Elon, X allows users to post additional context directly to a post, rather than in a comment most people will never see. For Thanksgiving, PETA posted the cartoon above with “We’re lucky turkeys would never do this to us—you don’t have to do it to them, either.” Community Notes helpfully informed us that not only are turkeys omnivorous who will eat mice and lizards if they can get them, but even worse, they will cannibalize themselves and other turkeys both in captivity and in the wild.

Some guy posted, “You really thought you done something with this didn’t you” with lots of laughing emojis. PETA replied, “Yep” and showed their post had received 30 million views. But right next to the 30M, it showed that only 10K had give it a heart, which is the very definition of “ratioed” – i.e., a post that has gotten a lot of views because it is so bad. LOL

But my personal favorite comment was this: “Turkeys pray before their meal. You could learn from them, you atheist scum.” ROFL

ISRAEL vs. HAMAS: On Friday morning, Israel and Hamas began a four-day ceasefire and exchange of hostages and prisoners. Israel’s military agreed to temporarily stop its airstrikes and ground invasion of Gaza. Hamas agreed to release dozens of hostages as Israel releases Palestinian prisoners.

STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES: No need to understand the issues or master a tedious bunch of facts when you can simply consult Joe and Kamala’s talking points. Or, as I like to call it, “Accuse your opponents of doing everything you are doing which is extra creepy when you consider what the guide claims Trump will do if he’s re-elected, like “shooting people at will.”

TEMU: After I posted my PSA about avoiding this ChiCom nightmare, my cousin texted me, “I bought from Temu once (did not give them my phone number) and yes, their stuff was so poor I gave it away. But they would then send me messages for months saying, ‘Thank you for your order of $$$’ when I had not purchased anything from them. But this practice of theirs caused me to check my credit card and go to their website to view my cart which they loaded with stuff, but they did not check out or charge. They bombarded me with ads for a long time. I have successfully detached myself from them and warn everybody I know of their deceptive practices.

GRAMMY NOTES: A while back, Buzz dumped out both of these jigsaws into a pile on the floor. Mama decided today was a good day to sort the pieces and assemble the puzzles. Dearest and I did a 600 piece puzzle on Thanksgiving. It was such a fun and relaxing time, I am already shopping for a new one to do on Christmas.

2A: The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond has ruled that Maryland’s handgun qualification license (HQL) requirement is unconstitutional. Maryland has 14 days to seek a rehearing before the full 4th Circuit or 90 days to seek review in the Supreme Court, otherwise the decision goes into effect.

DRUG ADS: The FDA has much stricter guidelines for prescription drug advertising on television and radio. Basically, every ad must present both side effects and contraindications in clear, plain language so consumers can make informed healthcare decisions.

EV: Ford Motor Company is scaling back an electric vehicle (EV) battery plant by more than 40%. The facility is under construction in Michigan.

HOME SCHOOL: CLICK https://www.youtube.com/shorts/sktvRjLSC0k to hear Nick J. Freitas spout off about how successful he and his wife are at home schooling. Every time I hear about the importance of a Master’s in Education, I am reminded of the graduate school class I took at Cornell, taught by an alleged expert, and one of the biggest wastes in my entire 18 years of education. This moron pontificated that, if schools had done their job, they’d all be closed by now. Rrrrrrrrrrrrrright. Cuz that’s not what GRADUATION is supposedly all about? Or hmmm lemme think … what about all the babies who keep getting born and will need educating? ::eyeroll::

ISRAEL: Do CLICK https://www.facebook.com/reel/265559626468451 to hear a Palestinian explain how we can know that western support for Palestine isn’t about loving Palestinians. It’s about hating Jews.

LIFE: The pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute reported that, during August, zero children were aborted in Indiana, where abortion is banned except in narrow circumstances such as rape, incest, or a detected fatal abnormality.

MEDIA MATTERS: On November 16, this leftie “disinformation fighter” instigated an ad boycott of X that included IBM, Comcast/NBCUniversal, Lions Gate Entertainment, Paramount, Warner Bros. Discovery, and Disney. The basis for it was MM’s claim that X was posting their ads next to content promoting Naziism.

But as is the case with anything coming out of Media Matters, their allegations were entirely fictitious. In response, Musk has filed a lawsuit asking Texas to order Media Matters to “immediately delete, take down, or otherwise remove” the article, and requests unspecified monetary damages. The lawsuit alleges that Media Matters “knowingly and maliciously” manufactured images to falsely show ads appearing where they did not with the intention of misleading advertisers, and in turn, hurting X by reducing their ad revenue. In response, Texas AG Ken Paxton announced he is opening an investigation into potential fraud by Media Matters.

CLICK https://rumble.com/v3x9a2s-greg-gutfeld-destroys-media-matters-hacks.html [6:03] to hear Greg Gutfeld reporting on the above.

As we so often see with those on the left, Media Matters has not only used lies to target right wingers, but also committed or ignored the alleged crimes themselves. Senior Townhall columnist Kurt Schlichter called Media Matter nothing more than “a cheesy grift where they fake outrage to silence political opponents because they know their own garbage ideology won’t play with Americans. Nobody’s fooled. They should go pound sand.”

POPE FRANCIS: Our vindictive pontiff has struck again, this time foisting a “coadjutor bishop” named François Touvet (58) on the popular and orthodox Bishop Dominique Rey (71). Since Rey took the helm in 2000, the Diocese of Toulon-Fréjus has become known for its large number of vocations and welcoming attitude toward both traditional and charismatic communities. Bishop Rey is also known for his strong support of the Traditional Latin Mass.

Jorge can’t have that. Last year, he ordered Bishop Rey to suspend all ordinations to both the priesthood and the deaconate, without explanation. Unsurprisingly, Bishop Touvet will have not only complete control over various aspects of diocesan governance, but also will oversee management of clergy in the diocese, training of seminarians and priests, and support of religious communities. When Rey turns 75 and is forced to retire, Touvet will succeed him.

TRANS: Pope Francis has made reaching out to the LGBTQ+ community a hallmark of his papacy. Part of showing off his pride colors has been his on-going friendship with a community of trannies, many of whom work as prostitutes. They make monthly visits to Francis’ Wednesday general audiences, where they are given VIP seats. When COVID-19 struck, the Vatican bussed them into its health facility so they could be vaccinated ahead of most Italians. And this week, he hosted them to a posh luncheon at Vatican.

Yes, Jesus ate with public sinners, including prostitutes, whom He did not condemn. But he always condemned their sins and called them to repentance and holiness. Pope Francis seems to just be telling the LGBTQ+ community, “You’re perfect the way you are.” Meanwhile, he spits on those who actually live out the RCC’s call to worship, preach, and teach in spirit and in truth.

Happy Thanksgiving!

St. Gianna Beretta was born on on October 4, 1922 in Italy, the tenth of thirteen children in her family. In 1942, Gianna began her study of medicine in Milan. As a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, she was a diligent and hardworking student, both at the university and in her faith. She received degrees in both medicine and surgery, specializing in pediatrics.

In 1961, during her fourth pregnancy, doctors discovered he had a tumor in her uterus. They gave her three choices: abort the baby and remove the fibroma, which would permit another pregnancy; do a complete hysterectomy (killing the child); or treat the fibroma and hope the baby survives. The last was the riskiest for Gianna, but she was clear to her family. “If you must decide between me and the child, do not hesitate: choose the child? I insist on it. Save the baby.”

On April 21, 1962, baby Gianna Emanuela was successfully delivered by Caesarean section. A week later, Mama Gianna passed away from septic peritonitis. In 2004, St. Gianna was officially canonized. Her husband and their four children attended her canonization ceremony, making this the first time a husband witnessed his wife’s canonization.

Canonization requires that investigators with the Roman Catholic Church ascertain that miracles occurred following prayer to the potential saint. We know God does the miracles. But when it pleases Him, He does them in response to prayer to His children who are with Him in Heaven.

In St. Gianna’s case, the first miracle occurred in 1977 when a Brazilian woman developed a potentially fatal condition that could not be treated at her local hospital. Doctors believed she would not survive the trip to a larger facility, which so distressed the nursing sisters, that they appealed for the intercession of Gianna Molla. The doctors were amazed when the woman’s condition disappeared.

The second miracle occurred in 2003 when a woman prayed for Gianna’s intercession after experiencing a tear in her placenta. At just 16-weeks or pregnancy, her womb drained of all amniotic fluid, leaving the fetus with little to no chance of survival. Due to Gianna’s intercession, the baby was born healthy.

CENSORSHIP: In other hell-in-a-handbasket news, the Chicago Police Department has instituted a new rule forbidding cops from associating with “[Any organization that] advocates for systematic illegal prejudice, oppression, or discrimination, including disparate treatment, against an individual or group on the basis of any protected class under federal, state, and local law, including race, color, sex, gender identity, age, religion, disability, national origin, ancestry, sexual orientation, marital status, parental status, military status, source of income, credit history, criminal record, or criminal history.”

I’m thinking all the Catholic cops had best start looking for work elsewhere.

CLIMATE CULTISTS: A new report by Oxfam outs the elitists who are always preaching and wagging their fingers at us. It seems they, the richest 1% of the world’s population, generates as much carbon emissions as the world’s poorest two-thirds. It would take about 1,500 years for someone in the bottom 99 percent to produce as much carbon as the richest billionaires do in a year.

JFK: A Secret Service agent and several doctors who were in the ER recently spoke out for the first time, refuting the findings of the Warren Commission about a lone gunman. Gee. What a shock (not). I don’t know how to share the stories with all y’all. The two links below are behind pay walls.

MEDIA: CNBC is dismantling the full-time team it has had covering climate doom and gloom. “I guess either climate change was solved or they decided it’s not actually the most important crisis of our lifetime anymore.” – Harris Rigby

PSA: TEMU is a ChiCom company based in Shanghai. Kim Komando advises we not download or use this app. Not only is the stuff they sell mostly trash (and good luck getting a refund), but also the app itself is a digital stalker that gives the ChiComs full access to literally everything on your phone, including location, activity on other apps, contacts, calendars, photo albums, social media accounts, chats and texts. It can even change your settings to suit its own evil agenda.

STUPID MOVES: Also, outsource your pharmaceutical production to a nation that has stated again and again and again that they hate you with the fire of a thousands suns.

GRAMMY NOTES: I think I need to change “Little Buzz” to “Big Foot.” He’s still got his Mama’s feet, but he can no longer steal her shoes LOL. In other linguistic ponderings, Grammy wonders when ‘different from’ turned into ‘different to’ and ‘by accident’ turned into ‘on accident.’

ARIZONA: A Christian pastor is in critical condition after a passer-by shot him in the head as he was preaching the gospel on a street corner in Glendale, Arizona.

CATHOLIC: CLICK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsihfPjelJ8 [13:57] to hear canon lawyer Fr. Gerald Murray discuss the removal of Bishop Strickland. “This lacks elementary elements of justice.”

The Code of Canon Law of the Catholic Church is the system of laws that regulate the external organization and government of the church. Chapter II, Article 3 deals with removal of a person from a clerical office. Within this section, Canon 193, Paragraph 1 says, “A person cannot be removed from an office … except for grave causes and according to the manner of proceeding defined by law.

Apparently, in Pope Francis’ estimation, disagreeing with him on any issue is such a “grave cause” that he doesn’t even have to bother meeting with the individual, much less follow any of the procedures justly defined by the Code of Canon Law to protect clerics from capricious and vindictive actions.

GET WOKE, GO BROKE: From 1996 until 2015, Donald Trump ran the Miss Universe Organization. About a year ago, a Thai trannie bought it for $20 million. The new CEO “Anne” Jakrajutatip put out a video celebrating himself as “the first woman owner of the Miss Universe Organization” and promising to make the pageants more diverse. On Thursday, as part of its “strategic corporate financial management plan,” Miss Universe Organization filed for bankruptcy. This year’s pageant, featuring two so-called trans-identifying men, will still go on.

PALESTINE: A new poll showed 9 out of 10 Palestinians support the terrorist attacks that the Hamas government consider essential to its mandate. The polling group, which is based in Palestine, conducted in-person interviews with 668 Palestinians in both the West Bank and Gaza Strip from October 31 to November 7. The sample stretched across all socioeconomic levels, had equal amounts of adult men and women, and was proportionally distributed through the two regions.

TENNESSEE: The Murfreesboro City Council recently updated a 1949 city ordinance to eliminate the term “homosexuality” from the definition of prohibited sexual conduct. The ordinance now bans only “indecent exposure, public indecency, lewd behavior, nudity or sexual conduct.” The far left rag, The New Republic, published a fake news article saying the ordinance was an “anti gay” law and California’s governor urged his followers to spread the fake news far and wide.

TRUMP: On Thursday, an appeals court judge lifted the gag order that New York Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron (photo above) had imposed on former President Donald Trump. Engoron has been overseeing the Trump Organization’s civil fraud trial in New York. New York Appellate Division Associate Justice David Friedman temporarily lifted the gag order, noting the “constitutional and statutory rights at issue” and questioned Justice Engoron’s authority to police President Trump’s speech outside the courtroom.

WISCONSIN: Four years ago, Mitch Lundgaard, a firefighter in Appleton, saved the life of a black man who was overdosing. When the guy woke up, he pulled a gun and shot the firefighter dead. The killer had recently been released on $500 bail because prosecutors were apparently too lazy to look up his rap sheet, which was extensive.

The story got very little media attention, no doubt because a vicious black man killing a white first responder didn’t fit the Left’s narrative. Thankfully, he was later killed in a firefight with police, sparing taxpayers a whole lot of money.

The firefighter is survived by his widow and three young sons (photo). Although the story was ignored when it happened, it recently went viral, in large part due to efforts of friends to get the family’s GoFundMe to reach its goal. The FD promises that 100% of the donations received will go to support Mitch’s wife and 3 children. You can click the GoFundMe link below or donate by mail to:

GRAMMY NEWS: I just upgraded my homeopaths by putting the most useful to me of my Boiron tubes into a clear plastic box with a hinged lid. I made the label above for the lid. It’s so handy living on my bedside tray.
